Pregnancy massage £30/€30 for one hour treatment
Some FAQ's about pregnancy massage: • How many weeks pregnant do I have to be to get a pregnancy massage?... It is generally advised to wait until you have passed the 12 week mark to get a massage. You can get a pregnancy massage right up until labour
• What position will I be lying in during the massage? The best and most comfortable position for a pregnancy massage is on your side with a pillow between the knees/legs and another “hug” pillow for bump and chest comfort. Massage positions can be adapted to suit the needs and comfort of the client. Alternatively, the massage can be carried out sitting upright in the chair. This is entirely up to you
• Is it safe to get a massage while pregnant? Pregnancy is generally lighter than normal Swedish massage, and is safe to carry out from 12 weeks right up until labour. As long as you are not suffering from bleeding, abdominal pain, pre-eclampsia or gestational diabetes, pregnancy massage is safe. If there has been any pregnancy related illness, then GP consent is required. I do not massage the abdomen during massage, and can leave out any other parts of the body if requested. I want you to be comfortable and content during the massage and enjoy some you time. The ankles are not massaged as they are acupressure points for the reproductive system.
• What clothing do I have to wear? It is a personal decision what clothing you would like to wear – although it is recommended you just have your underwear on. All other parts will be covered with towels/blankets. The only area that is exposed at any given time is the area that is being massaged.
• What are the benefits of pregnancy massage? Promotes relaxation and decreases stress/anxiety Relieves back, muscle and joint pain/swelling Relieves sciatica, leg cramps, restless legs Improves quality of sleep
I use grapeseed oil which has no added essential oils and is a natural moisturiser for the skin. It doesn’t leave greasy, sticky residue and is rich in vitamin D, C and E. I am fully qualified in massage and insured with the FHT to carry out pregnancy massage.

I've just had the most AMAZING pregnancy massage with Aoife! From the minute I walked in the door I was so relaxed! She is so amazing at what she does and really helped me relax! Aoife ensures that you're comfortable and explains everything before you start which is amazing, especially as this is my first pregnancy so I'm not too sure on things you do/ don't do- but Aoife did. I was pretty nervous before hand as I had no idea what to expect. However, I have to say Aoife is so easy to chat to and such a lovely girl I felt so comfortable straight away. The massage was amazing, I felt like I could have just went to sleep there and then! So relaxing and it definitely worked, I had a lot of knots in my shoulders and felt great afterwards. I knew when I booked a massage with Aoife that it would be a treat. And it was. From the moment I stepped into the beautiful yoga and Pilates centre, that feeling of calm that comes from such a place settled into me. Aoife welcomed me with a glass of water and I soaked in the peace in the lovely space she has chosen for a few minutes. Aoife and I have been friends for a few years, but I feel our souls are old friends. I think Aoife probably makes everyone feel that way. She is gentle and kind and beautiful and the love and serenity in her wee room creates an oasis in a wee world that can be hard to be in sometimes. I selected an upper body massage. What I wanted was for my body and mind to completely relax and they did. Aoife has magic and skilled hands to go with her lovely personality. Not only was I completely blissed out but she gave my stressed out back and shoulders, where I carry all my stress, the firm attention they need. I absolutely loved my massage and have booked myself in for the next few weeks and beyond. I look forward to more of the same and trying the many wonderful treatments Aoife is trained in. One extra thing, Aoife recommended to me the work of Aisling with whom she shares the room. And isn’t being supportive of co-workers a truly wonderful thing.

Had a sports massage with Aoife the other week. I was a bit tight on my quad after a few GAA matches and gym sessions. She worked out quite a few knots I had and just loosened me up. There was such a difference in walking, squating and running instantly. I felt so relaxed and comfortable from the moment I walked into the room. Had a few treatments with aoife from 30 weeks and feel amazing everytime after I've had the massage. Im suffering from sciatic nerve pain with the pregnancy and this really helps relieve the ache.
