Traditionally in Japan, Go Zen is a popular meal for special occasions. Our Executive chef, Paul Greening has taken inspiration from this concept to create seasonal and daily changing bento boxes. These are available every weekday at lunch. Thank you londonfoodbabes on Instagram for this beautiful shot. #aquakyoto

Escape the rat race and seek refuge on our beautiful summer terrace. Even if it's just for a few hours, take some time out and do something for yourself today. Thanks madabouttheboys on Instagram for capturing this great shot of our rooftop bar. #aquakyoto

No need of an "Italian Escape" here whilst the UK is sweltering in this epic heatwave. We only need to be sipping on this refreshing cocktail made with Tanqueray Lovage gin, Italicus, Campari, bergamot, topped with bitter lemon and garnished with dragon fruit and a shisho leaf. #aquakyoto

User

Summer #sushi goals. Our sushi platter, salted edamame and rice crakers part of our weekend Ukiyo brunch is the perfect accompaniment to these balmy days. #aquakyoto

User

What an amazing venue. We just went for cocktails before dinner as celebrating my daughters birthday. This place is pure class!

User

Staff Excellent, Food beyond Excellent, Outside terrace great touch, highly recommend.

Will definitely go back again. Just one thing, a little more lighting in the bathroom 👌🏽

User

Quality food, Enjoyed the sushi so much esp with freshly grounded wasabi. When it come to sushi in london I'm mostly disappointed but not at Aqua Kyoto. Every tiny detail of dishes we ordered was perfect worth the price.

Staffs were friendly and welcome us from ground floor onward dispite previous comment about dress code. (We turned up very casual ,tshirt and jeans)

User

One of the most amazing sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to! Amazing service and all of the different options and flavors! Wow! I want to go back!!!

User

Love the place and is real highly recommended... TIP TOP services.

User

Had a weekend bottomless brunch and could not fault any of it. For me the sushi and prawn tempura were the highlight dishes but it was all absolutely delicious. The service was top notch and restaurant has a good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this and I would book it again.

User

Had a lovely time celebrating my birthday. The food and the atmosphere was amazing. There is a lively buzz in the main restaurant but not loud that you can't speak to each other! The only downside was that it did take some time before a waiter came to take our order and then we had to always catch his eye to order anything else. A little more attention would have been appreciated. The upside was that I was treated to a complimentary glass of champagne! All was well in the world..

User

Great service from the moment we walked in. Excellent cocktails and the tapas and wine was lovely. In my opinion the 3* reviews regarding price should have gone elsewhere as it’s good quality food in central London so not expensive. Will most definitely return again.

User

Great food, perfect for those on a diet, I ate lots but never put on weight, felt full without feeling bloated. Delicious gin & tonics keep it up folks

Looks like a great place for summer with its outdoor bar.

A great place to either start your evening or end your evening or just eat

User

Turned up without booking on a Friday and we’re welcomed in. Had a lovely relaxing drink outside and then as soon as we were ready to eat, we were promptly shown to a table. The food was extremely nice and the staff were great, my only moan is that it’s very very dark. I know this creates the atmosphere, but the eating area could do with the odd lamp here and there. We will definitely be back!

User

There is loads of TLC as soon as you walk through the door. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Food is amazing and greatly presented. The portions are just right however if you are a beefy man I wouldn't recommend it. I had a beautiful experience with my mum and her friend. We had set menu £29.50 and it was great value for money. The only criticism was the cocktail which was a bit watery but the food and service were definitely worth the price. I would recommend

User

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the service was excellent as was the food it’s a shame they need to charge £4.50 for a tiny bowl of nuts and the same for a small bowl of olives

User

Friday sunny evening - very busy. Slowish service at bar and bar staff dont make eye contact with customers to ensure being served in order of waiting! Cocktail prices ok for Central London but bottle of rose ridiculous price. Wouldnt rush back other equally as good if not better bars in London.

User

Booked for 20:30 our table wasn't ready was told to come back in 10 mins, came back at 20:45 - table still wasn't ready, was told that it would be 5 minutes they just had to clear the table and reset it, we finally got seated 10 mins later. It took until half past to have our order taken. Extremely slow so it's no wonder the last table was late leaving. However paying the bill was quick and painless (my bank account won't agree with the painless part however )

Staff seemed egar to help and very polite and friendly from when you walk in the front door and all the way up to the restaurant. It is an expensive establishment but the staff weren't pretentious at all and made everyone feel welcome. The decor is lovely and it's clean so you feel like the money you are paying is worth it.

The drinks.... well my cocktail was £13 above average for London but I don't mind paying extra for a decent cocktail however, I paid £13 for about 1 inch of liquid and a whholllleee load of crushed ice, but it didn't stop me being an idiot and buying more than one, it was nice and had a fresh raspberry on top so was kind of like dessert as well!

I ordered the king crab roll and it was really nice I can't lie, but it wasn't so nice when two of them stabbed me in my gum whilst chewing. Can't say I felt very lady like pulling crab shell out of my mouth full of chewed up sushi!

If you want to use the bathroom to touch up your lipstick, bring a flash light. I'm not sure if they were having lighting issues but I felt like I was in the dark ages where there was no electricity and light bulbs didn't exist. I had to use my flashlight on my phone to check my lipstick was still good.

Would I go back.... probably only because I'm a sucker for punishment. Things could have been better.

User

The food is amazing but portions way too small, waiting staff excellent but the look and feel of the place just doesn't work. Constant stream of people from and towards the roof terrace. Decor in the restaurant, space between tables (also for the path to the terrace) just gives it the feeling of a train station and the lack of ambiance make the (steep) prices suddenly just not worth it.

User

The door staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. However the food took far too long to be served and so because of the incredibly long wait time my friend and I quired the service charge and rounded the bill to a whole number and decided to pay about 95% of the service charge, which is discretionary. After explaining our reasons, the waitress started at first apologising and exilplaining that it usually isn't that busy on a Tuesday. She then continued to ask us to reconsider paying the remaining 5% of the service charge but in doing so she was raising her voice to such a volume that other diners began looking over to see what the commotion was. My friend and I were highly embarrassed and asked her to calm down. The waitress then insisted that we speak with the manager. We agreed but said we would wait by the bar because we felt very uncomfortable sitting at the table after she caused such a scene. Whilst this was occurring she was frantically processing my transaction and I can only imagine she left my card in the card reader for too long causing a transaction error. She failed to hand me the customer copy of the failed transaction receipt, took the payment again, then proceeded to walk to find her manager with my card still in her possession. I then had to call her back and request for my card to be returned to me and then request for a copy of the second receipt. It was all very dramatic and I have subsequently found out that I was charged twice for the bill. The manager dealt with the situation and apologised for the scene and gave my friend and I each a complementary glass of Cava however with the added frustration and inconvenience caused today with me having to raise the double transaction and request a refund leaves me little praise to report on my experience at Aqua Kyoto.

User

It was worth it for the roof garden, because the weather was so nice. But the service was awful. We sat with a filthy table the whole time we were there (approx 90mins-2hrs). It was very quiet but for some reason there was no table service (including no assistance to carry our drinks and bar snack from the bar to the table).

We were shocked when the barman applied a service charge to the bill, and obviously requested it to be removed. To summarise; lazy and unimpressive.

User

Nice place however no staff! Spent over half hour at one bar trying to get a drink then went to other bar just to have the same problem. Complained to a lady who said we didn’t expect this many people! She did not seem very bothered tbh. Would not bother going again.

User

Last night I tried to get in with a couple of friends. We smiled at the two members of staff at the door, asking if there was any room for us.

As an answer to our request and our casual outfits, we received a very disdainful expression.

Now, I understand the venue applies a dress code, but the basics of customer service and good education in general should be clear to everyone in a civil society, regardless of social status.

They also stated: “It’s Friday..”. Probably meaning than on less busy days, the money coming from the casual trousers pockets, is instead welcomed.

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the service was excellent as was the food it’s a shame they need to charge £4.50 for a tiny bowl of nuts and the same for a small bowl of olives

Friday sunny evening - very busy. Slowish service at bar and bar staff dont make eye contact with customers to ensure being served in order of waiting! Cocktail prices ok for Central London but bottle of rose ridiculous price. Wouldnt rush back other equally as good if not better bars in London.

Nice place however no staff! Spent over half hour at one bar trying to get a drink then went to other bar just to have the same problem. Complained to a lady who said we didn’t expect this many people! She did not seem very bothered tbh. Would not bother going again.
