Whether it's your first day at school, falling in love or retiring, there are some moments we all share during our lives.
Whilst our individual experience of these life-defining moments is unique, our analysis of hundreds of people's responses revealed that certain flavours were almost synonymous with the feelings we associate with key milestones in our lives.
These flavours are the foundation of this menu. Artesian moments, which we hope you will enjoy. It was your experien...ces and memories which created these drinks. You could say they were always there, amongst us all. We just had to ask.

Flip: Michter’s Bourbon, Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, Rum, Port, Yolk, Cream.
To create our Flip cocktail, we mix rum and cream for 12 hours. Then, we use a centre infusion technique called 'washing' the rum, to create the end product.

Our motivation this Monday is our Negroni cocktail:
Tanqueray No. Ten Gin, Campari, Sweet wines, Langham Distillate.

Whilst staying at The Langham for New Year we had to visit the Artesian bar. Stunning interior design, great atmosphere and the cocktails were a journey to experience! Worth mentioning that even if you are a resident of the hotel you may need to wait a while to be seated at busy times as you can't pre-book tables, but worth the wait.

User

What an amazing cocktail experience. Let the moment on the menu guide you and you will be amazed.

User

We were very disappointed when we last visited Artesian 18 months ago. The drinks were full of theatre (there was a lot of dry-ice, I seem to remember) but overly complicated and therefore unmemorable in terms of their flavour.

Now that Remy Savage and half the team from Paris's Little Red Door has taken over, it's a different story. The drinks are served extremely simply - a bit of basic glasswear, a monolithic slab of ice - but they taste *magical*. The current menu is themed around important life events - learning to walk, going to school, falling in love, turning 30, having kids, etc - and the ingredients used are at least partially the result of a survey on what sort of flavours real customers wanted to have in their drinks. Filtered through the vivid imaginations of Artesian's new barstaff, the results make for startling synesthetic experiences.

My first drink, "... You Took Your First Steps" was a banana-and-strawberry rum milk punch, which somehow managed both to convey a perfect kid-in-a-candy-store vibe *and* a very grown-up booziness. "... It All Began", a platter of spherified baubles filled with apricot eau de vie, vanilla, jasmine and salt (!) was cleverly spiked with herbs which each brought out a different flavour in the (otherwise identical) booze-blobs. "... Your Heart Was Broken" was the sort of messy breakup one would happily go through again and again: a heady mix of sweet, smoky Craigellachie 13, cacao and sake.

As if the drinks themselves weren't enough, the team behind the bar are charming and enormously welcoming - we were on first name bases with most of them by the end of our stay, and they kept us happy with freebies throughout. (Barfly pro tip: always, always sit at the bar.) On our way out, we were given what can only be described as alcoholic slushies in New Orleans-style "go cups" - there aren't many bars who will give you a free drink *after* you've paid.

My only complaints? The prices are typical London hotel bar prices (£17-£20 a drink), and I'm not a fan of the softcore EDM on the soundtrack. In some ways it doesn't really feel like the right venue, in terms of its look and feel, for this particular team. But I'll take these drinks where I can get 'em. Having been such a disappointment last time, Artesian has instantly shot into our Top 5 London bars, joining the likes of Swift, Dandelyan, Merchant House and Coupette. If you like serious, creative drinks with great service, then Artesian needs to be high on your list.

The best cocktail that’s has ever passed my lips

Love the theatre of the cocktail experience I had a cacoon and can highly recommend it.

Thank you for a wonderful experience I hope to be back soon.

User

Thank you for making my birthday night out perfect. Cocktails were delicious and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely return xx

User

Stunning cocktails with an interesting approach to the design of them! Would love to come back and try the range!

User

Seeing the hotel and having a cocktail experience in the bar was enjoyable; but I give 5 stars to the two doormen. They made me and my friend feel like special guests. I am sure we'll be back.

User

Perfect evening yummy drinks with the bartenders Alex and Sara who made my first night out in London awesome.

User

Loved this place.. it's our first time visiting this bar and we weren't disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, staff are courteous and friendly. Oh and the cocktails are super delicious. I tried their bees knees and the Gimleys, Yum! We are sure to come back to this place the next time we are in London!

User

Love this bar ! The right blend of traditional sophistication with a modern vibe. The music gives the bar its edge and I really liked the storybook of cocktails.

User

It was like a theatre show. From being shown to our table to the whole experience of the cocktails we could not fault the cocktail bar at the Langham. We followed this up with dinner in the Palm Court. An amazing way to spend my 60th. I was made to feel very special.

User

Had a fantastic evening with my daughter Zara Barratt only thing missing was the strange and wonderful vessels they served the cocktails in having visited before, hope they bring them back soon, also wonderful staff

User

Excellent service and stunning drinks. The Artesian it's easy to find and a great place to celebrate with friends and beloved ones! I had a Bombay Sapphire with a beautiful blue ring. Surprising, funny and exciting, if you stay in London it's a visite worth.

User

Everything was amazing, the bar itself was so impressive and the staff are really knowledgable about all the cocktails and ingredients.

User

Always a place to impress. Bar staff were overly helpful and it was surprising how many celebrities were there on a Wednesday evening. My friends drink came in a box with a hologram 🤷‍♀️😲👍🏻 My drink came served under a cactus. When I wasn't impressed with the taste of it, they replaced it immediately with a gorgeous passion fruit one. Snacks / tapas was impressive and delicious xx it won't disappoint xx

User

A great place for a sophisticated night out and amazing cocktails. It's one of my favourite places in London. My French beau was quite impressed with it too. Great staff and service. We will be back soon✨✨✨🍸🥃

User

Lovely atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Slightly dissapointed as the website leads you to believe that the cocktails are served with imagination and in a creative theatrical manner - this was not the case and they were served simply. This was one of the reasons we chose the Artesian and whilst the cocktails were delicious I don't think we would rush back as cocktail bars are everywhere in London. We will try the Alchemist next time.

User

Great atmosphere, good service and outstanding delicious cocktails!

User

I love Artesian, well I used too. Don’t get me wrong the place is still beautiful, the staff are still friendly and warming, and the drinks are still as tasty as ever, but why oh why have they decided to go back to this ‘simple’ way of presenting their cocktails?

The whole atmosphere of Artesian was the theatricality of how their amazing drinks were presented, Bronze Ants, Abstract Elephants, Broken Glasses, Mini Distillery’s I’ve tried them all, and mostly because it was so much fun to order a drink and have no idea how it was going to be served up to you.

Now it seems they are the same as any other cocktail lounge with boring run of the mill drink glasses, such a shame as I know for one I won’t be hurrying back to try my next drink off of the menu as the fun seems to have gone completely. So sad 😢
