food was fantastic

staff really pleasant and helpful .... only thing is i would suggest the snug area had some character and and a bit more warmth about it.

.but i will most certainly be back x

User

What a really nice place, very friendly staff service excellent, food was great too, possibly the best burger I’ve ever had. We ate here Friday night with 2 friends. The ladies serving were very welcoming. Ray who treated us to dinner also bought us some of the lovely stuff we had with bread when we arrived The only one thing I would say and it’s far from a complaint is that you only sell Chardonnay by the glass, one the plus side the wine we had was really good. We will return

User

We really enjoyed our lunch at Artisan. The food was super, the staff were friendly and attentive and it was fabulous value for money. We'll definitely be back soon.

User

We had a wonderful evening in your very charming restaurant. Fabulously looked after by Greer the most friendliest waitress iv ever come across . I can highly recommend to everyone and can't wait till I'm back in Scotland to visit again .

User

Was at Artisan last night for a 4 course dinner and Whisky tasting... Superb value at £40 for the meal plus 6 drams of fine whisky.

The food itself was excellent. Well cooked, well presented, and very generous portions.

Only small criticism would be that the vegetables for the main course arrived about 5-10 minutes after the main arrived. Needs better timing to arrive together.

Other than that... excellent !!

User

Tried the Artisan in Wishaw for the first time last night and was not disappointed. We were out for my sis in laws birthday and went to the Artisan for a meal. When we arrived we were told it was fully booked for the evening. We were just about to leave when the boss came and said they could squeeze us in which was great. Had a great meal and the staff there are so friendly. Will be heading back there soon. Just one thing book a table before you go.

User

Top quality food today, lovely staff and great selection of whiskey/rum! The mister was well impressed with his steak too so wants to pass his compliments to the chef.

User

Love the Artisan.

Whenever we are over from Ireland we always make the two hour detour for a visit.

Derek and Fiona are great hosts and the food is high quality for such a great price, I just love the Octomore burger!

With nearly 3,000 whiskies on display, yes 3,000, the Artisan is more like a whisky museum.

Until next time

User

In my opinion Derek has created the best burger in the world, his incredibly delicious Octomore burger tastes just awesome and that is really a big one! As a dessert still a sticky toffee pudding and after dinner you can treat yourself to a fine dram from the Artisan‘s huge whisky selection, bon appétit & slàinte mhath! 😊👍

User

I've been here numerous times for both lunch and dinner.

I've never been disappointed and have enjoyed my meal on each occasion.

Staff are polite and helpful.

Food was of good quality, plentyful and reasonably priced.

I'll continue to use this restaurant.

User

Had a lovely meal here with 4 of my friends. I was a bit unsure of what the food would have been like as I had read all of the recent reviews and they weren’t great! I had 3 courses: The Cajun spiced potato wedges, the fish and chips and the sticky toffee pudding. All three were delicious! There was a great wine list too! Can’t fault it the place, brilliant value for money too☺️

User

Fabulous place! We travelled all the way from Leeds to visit as we are Whisky nuts, and were not disappointed!

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the food is superb, I had the Octomore burger with Octomore whisky sauce and you could tell it was fresh and homemade! Delicious! And the desserts are to die for!

It’s also bloody good value for money so we will be back!!

And the whisky collection...... has to be seen to be believed....! We will be back!!

User

Been to Atrisan serval times and loved the food... And whisky! Staff are always courteous and helpful and when required Derek (the owner) is always on hand to provide advice and guidance on what whisky to try next (from his vast collection).

User

Been here loads of times and never had cause to complain. The food is delicious well cooked and beautifully presented. The menu is great and has something to suit everyone. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Fiona runs a tight ship and is a wonderful hostess and the chef is excellent. Great value for money. Highly recommend

User

Beautiful food tonight, Thankyou Iain Rapson for a lovely dinner tonight. The fish was succulent and the cheesecake was divine. I recommend Artisan, a lovely fresh food and big portion restaurant. 5

User

Another utterly fantastic meal at Artisan...steak cooked to perfection, hand cut chips, melt in the mouth haddock and the most delicious pate and sticky toffee pudding. Merry Christmas to everyone in Artisan, see you in the new year!

User

Amazing place. Good food with fantastic sauces and dressings. The portions are generous (I have to leave some of my main to leave room for desert - usually the sticky toffee pudding or just ice cream if I haven't room for more).

The array of malt whisky is inspiring (and very reasonably priced) and the choice of gins is catching up.

Great food and drink, low prices, relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a detour.

User

Came here for lunch today the set menu was very reasonable at 2 courses for £7.95. Had smoked salmon salad with poached egg to start which was lovely I polished it off in 5 mins flat - my only complaint with it was the poached egg it was over cooked and not nice and runny which was disappointing! But otherwise lovely. Main course was Cajun chicken and Brie salad which was great very tasty. Other family members had chicken and haggis which was also lovely and huge portions. Nice enough wee place and staff were friendly, would definitely return.

User

Really disappointed Being the only place in Wishaw for this type of food they really could do well....... But they don't!! It has so much potential!! The appearance could be loads better, carpet looks like it's not been cleaned in a long time. The toilets were disgusting.... Fluff, dirty mirrors etc. The food wasn't great.... What's on the menu wasn't on the website - When we asked, the girl shrugged her shoulders and walked away..... Particular person was rude on a few occasions to our party (other staff were very nice). Steak was full of fat, chips looked dried out, wrinkly and re-heated, not convinced about the chicken. The ice cream Menu is written on the back of another menu in felt tip pen.... The whisky menus are in blue plastic folders - attention to these minor details would make a difference. We were given someone else's food bill - again minor but annoying when we had already paid our bill and only looking for our drinks bill. The snug us too snug..... Remove a couch - Maybe the one with cardboard boxes lying on it!!!! Like I say this place has potential and could be fab....
