About A.S Jujitsu

A.S Jujitsu Description
A. S Jujitsu combines strikes, kicks, throws, locks, pressure points and countless other various techniques into an effective and realistic system. This style will show you how to use the movement of your body and the reactions of your attacker to form a style that works for every individual that practices it.
The beginner student is taught basics as are required in many martial arts, the correct methods of punching, kicking and elbow strikes, how to break a fall after being thrown, how to maintain their balance during the execution of techniques . The beginner student is also taught basic escapes from strangles both front and rear and on through to other types of attack such as punches, kicks, and grabs building a firm foundation to move onto the more demanding work of the middle and higher grades.
The combination of techniques within the A. S Jujitsu syllabus forever makes those who follow its path work harder to understand its flexibility, from the mistake of a novice a more adept exponent may develop a variation to a given technique which rather than detracting from the syllabus adds to it and enhances it. It is the flexibility of A. S Jujitsu which will keep the interest of those who practice it, the practicality of the work and the understanding of each technique as it is learned, practiced and perfected.

Was the day I first opened my club 20 years ago and what an amazing journey it has been and will continue to be. Unfortunately I had to close my doors last week due to health reasons, but I will be back doing what I do best to continue my dream. We had an amazing last week at A.S Jujitsu with fun and games night for the juniors, gradings, cinema night and an all you can eat Chinese with the adults.... I would like to thank everyone for their support and commitment to the club, I would also like to thank an amazing team of instructors who have done a fantastic job with helping me and all the students at the club. I would also like to thank people for the cards and gifts that were handed to me ( they were amazing). It has been a very emotional week for me as I’m losing something that I have worked so hard for. But I guarantee I will be back and better than I ever was as soon as I have recovered. I hope that all students keep up with their training either at home or at another club. DREAM IT, BELIEVE IT, ACHIEVE IT

Tonight is the last night of lessons, we are having fun and games for the juniors 6pm to 8pm and something a little different for the adults 8pm to 9.30pm please can all students wear their Gi’s.
Not only does this week mean we are saying goodbye for a little while but it also marks my 20th year in teaching so tonight may get emotional.
What an absolute fantastic grading it was today, Every single student put in over 100% today, this may have been the last grading for us for a while but what a day to remember, a massive well done to everyone that passed and I look forward to an amazing last week with you all, And a big thank you to all the Instructors for your commitment to helping the student achieve their potential today

As many of you know by now that I have had to make the decision of closing my club at the end of June, now I have always had a GOAL with my martial arts, and just because there will now be a break, well I look at it as a pause for several months whilst I recovery and get my health back after I’ve had major surgery, I can honestly say that I will reach my GOAL as this break will not just give me time to heal but also time to focus on a few other ideas that will help me achieve my dream and the dream I have for my club. Martial Arts is a big passion for me and has helped me in life with many challenges that I have faced, this is just another challenge to overcome and I will What doesn’t kill you, Makes you stronger!!

ive been at the club since September 2015. And im seriously enjoying my training at this friendly dojo. The team here is very friendly & helpful , the instructor Renchi Aaron Stevens is top of he,s game, he has time for any questions on the art that he does. The Dojo itself is fully equipt with safety mats punch/ kick bags & practice Armour etc. also may i add a very professional & friendly atmosphere.

This is a fantastic club which Aaron and his team have worked extremely hard for and devoted there free time to get to the standards he has.
What Thomas has learnt here has not only given him the skills he needs to be able to defend himself ( crucial in this day and age) but has also made him grow in character, going from an 8 year old handful to a well(almost) behaved 9 year old boy. The transformation in a year is amazing. Weapons training is also brilliant and a shame not to see many more of the students there. thanks aaron and the team for all your hard work x
Our 7 year old has been at the club just over a year and has learnt so much. Aaron and the other instructors make a great team and are friendly and helpful. The dojo is a great space fully equipped and professionally run. Well done everyone!
My son had he's first lesson last nite and he was abit unsure at first and nervous but as the lesson went on you could see he's confidence coming through which was fantastic and by the end of the lesson he was beaming
I trained to brown belt with arron, and in my opinion probably one of the best instructor in the country.
Dedicated to teaching at an extremely high level, Importantly not forgetting the fun side.

I started jujitsu at the age of 8 when my mum first took me to a lesson at renshi's first club in frinton and I was hooked from lesson 1, I left when I was aged 11 and I was so happy when the club re opened in 2012, 2 years on and I am happy to say gaining my junior instructor title has to be my biggest achievement, I love teaching the kids every lesson they improve and make me proud knowing I have helped teach them to gain their next belts. I have also gained confidence myself and grown in jujitsu I wouldn't stop for anything, I have recently been promoted to assistant instructor and gained my sempei title been waiting years for this and so proud of myself , great family xx
Great club and great students I've trained under renshi for quite a while now started at the ages of 8 till 12 then re started after a long break at the age of 20 in those years I have progressed in my own confidence and also in jujitsu gaining my sempai tittle in 2014 great family very welcoming
Fantastic club. Aaron, Paul and Hayley make it a great place for the children to learn discipline, respect and have alot of fun at the same time. Our boys love it!!! Thanks guys
