Asana Warriors Yoga & Wellbeing Bucks Description

A qualified yoga teacher specializing in Hatha Yoga. Classes take place in Winslow and Padbury.
The Padbury classes are taught in the Asana Sanctuary, a beautiful space set in a tranquil setting.
My classes are friendly and relaxed but also carefully structured to build steadily and increase all the fantastic benefits yoga can provide.
I like to try and explain the methodology and theology behind the movements and the language of yoga in my classes so that my students understand the Why as well as the How to get the most out of the experience.

Restorative Yoga is a wonderful compliment to the yang sequences we do in class and for the last few weeks we have been incorporating a few poses. The response has been wonderful and it is lovely to see you bring your own supports, blankets and pillows and completely letting yourself go.
There are many benefits some of which we have spoken about in class but if you are interested in knowing a little more this article is very interesting.
Do have a read if you have chance ... https://www.doyouyoga.com/10-reasons-to-p ractice-restorati…/
In the meantime listen, breathe deeply and let go.

It has been a busy week and still not finished, a class tonight and then the final push and planning for the Yoga Retreat Day on Sunday - very excited ✨🌤 but I did manage to find this beaut of a chair in the chaos of the week which I am thrilled with and I can see my dressing table area finally taking shape. And it is the same colour as my brand #cornerofmyworld #alittlebitgirly #retrochair #myhomevibes

When I am not teaching yoga I am in the garden. #gardeninglove We have spent the entire weekend outside making the most of this glorious weather and soaking up the seasonal energy. #autumnchores We cleared a large area out which used to be the dumping ground and it was time to sort it out. #gardenproject After 3 journeys to the garden tip, filling every bin and old water butts with vegetation and 25 barrows of moving soil to the o...ther beds we have a large empty space. It will eventually be where our log store will be located and longer term plans for a walk way to the garden behind but that idea is a long way off. Anyway at the moment it is looking a little bare and grey. ( all the soil has now gone) In need of some pots and planters and prettying up - any ideas? Have to be shade loving shrubs, trees and plants #gardenadvice #rechargingbatteries #loveautumncolors #shadelovingplants #darkcorners #autumnproject #gardensquare #ineedinspiration @ Padbury

Something that perhaps you don't know about me is that during the day I work for a Company called People in Flow http://www.peopleinflow.com/
a Company which embraces an ethos I completely embrace in my life and in my yoga teaching. I run their office as well as being part of their fit for life programme - teaching yoga and wellbeing.
The ethos and the movement we are driving is to ... Energise people and reduce stress in the workplace ...
Today is #WorldMentaHealthDay and so
on #WorldMentalHealthDay let’s talk #Resilience. Resilience to stress, to challenges and to work/ life balance.
We talked to Professor Jo Clarke PhD about the ways in which we can deal with these challenges and work on our mental health each day.

Very enjoyable class on 1st February, Rae teaches with a professional and calming approach that both exercised my body and calmed my mind. I really appreciated the warm and pleasant surroundings and only wish I lived closer so that I could attend more often.

User

Rae is a great teacher and explains how all the positions benefit the body. My husband and I attended the beginners course and really enjoyed every session. It's a great venue, really relaxed atmosphere and you can do easier or difficult positions to suit your needs. We're now signed up to more 😄

User

Rachael's classes are really enjoyable. She takes time to explain the poses and the philosophy behind them allowing you to really focus on yourself and your practice. I always leaving feeling really relaxed and calm.

User

Rachael is a wonderful teacher, with a very calming presence. I always feel like my body has been worked in her class, yet not over stretched. I'm looking forward to learning more in the new studio ☺️

User

Rachael has a way of making the classes fun and relaxing that I have not experienced with previous teachers. She also takes the time explain some of the Yoga philosophy and history which is really interesting and helps you to fully immerse in the class. The new sanctuary creates the perfect environment to get rid of the everyday stresses and guarantee a great nights sleep so give it a try... you won't be sorry :)

User

I really enjoy Rachaels yoga classes! Very relaxing and Rachael is very professional and helpful with the poses. Cant wait to see the studio X

User

I had not tried yoga before my first class with Rachel. The classes are easy to follow and enjoyable, and I'd highly recommend to anyone thinking about giving yoga a try.

User

I enjoyed a wonderfully calm & invigorating session in Rachael's yoga class earlier in the year. Her subject knowledge, teaching & enthusiasm for what she is doing is evident. Rachael's classes offer an hour of pure 'escapism'. I will definitely be returning to try out some new positions and build on the ones I've already learnt.

User

Great classes. Friendly and relaxed, I feel stronger and fitter and really energised after each class. Rachel is a good teacher, works at a pace that includes everyone.
