First proper schooling for Sal today without hacking out first...so a little tense and a bit rushed at times! But her hocks are showing great promise in walk and trot...if this improvement continues we'll be trying canter work with the next vet visit at the end of November💕😁

Thank you little Owen for the last part of a lovely quiet hack with your Mum this morn and for helping me muck out! Sally had her hock check this week and is astounding the vets with her progress! She's been given the go ahead for trot work to start on roads, steeper hill work in walk and a little trot work in the school. Next check is 6 weeks to assess if canter in the school can begin! #LoveAndPatience #SlowlyButSurely

After 3 months of field rest and natural supplements, (due to severe arthritis in her hocks at 7 years old) Sally is just starting work again...because she's cantering around her field!!! I have been a bit quiet on this page as alot has been going on with my health! And now at 7 years old, Sally has been diagnosed with severe arthritis in her hocks😕 (thats her back leg joints for non horsey peeps). It will be a long recovery of time and patience, but we will come out the other side...bless her heart❤

Sally worked beautifully in the school today...and then wanted a little time to take in the view! ❤

Sally is turning out to be quite a character! She loves eating my corn broom, sharpening her teeth on the stable door metal🤤and generally letting me know what she thinks about everything😂 This last week we've had some fab training breakthroughs in the arena...including turning corners in a more collected canter and no longer putting me in the hedge! This sweet boy Richie had his first schooling outing with his owner Olivia to Burrows on Monday eve❤ He was incredibly well behaved and learnt for the first time to leg yield in walk and trot. Well done Olivia, it was really lovely to have you both over ☺ xxx

Mr Joey had his first schooling session in a few months today🖒 He was tense as to be expected, but did everything that was asked of him including some leg yield and turn on the forehand. Well done Joey...the relaxation will come❤

Updates.... Meet Richey, owned by Olivia Wakefield❤ We are working on his schooling education and helping Olivia with dressage. In a few months he has become more balanced, straight and is starting to work in an outline...some lovely steady progress and lots of great hard work from Olivia☺

I cannot recommend Nina highly enough. She is patient, calm and consistent in her schooling. I am not a confident rider and my young mare would test me to the limit, but with Nina's help and encouragement my mare is coming on leaps and bounds and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!
