My father was a child refugee from Nazi Austria. He came to London, aged 8 just before the war started. I'm disgusted by Brexit and have always felt more European than just British. The Austrian Embassy were very helpful when I went there with my bag full of old documents and papers. They were kind and patient. It's very emotional for me to apply for Austrian nationality and they showed they understood more than just the bureaucratic process. Thank you Tamara Frahmann.

Last Monday we applied for the 4th passport in two years (we have two small children) and once again we had such a great experience. Lovely, highly competent service; application took less than 10 minutes and my daughter's passport already arrived yesterday! Thank you, very impressed!

I just wanted to thank you for being very straight forward and helpful when I came to organise the passport for my little baby son.

I just wanted to thank all the staff at the embassy for the friendly, patient, and helpful advice I've received over the past year whilst going through the process of becoming officially 'Austrian' :-)



I've always had a strong connection to Austria via my father and many other family members in Vienna, but essentially an accident of birth saw me brought up a Brit. I naively assumed that we'd always be part of the wider European Union so it never occurred to me to make my connection official. Anyhow, spurred on by Brexit I've sorted out the paperwork. My father died a couple of years ago, but I'd like to think that this would have pleased him.

I just adore Austria I tell everyone to go there Iv been there so so many times over the years every thing is so clean nothing ever seems to go wrong when you are there absolutely no where like the Tyrol, Rattenburg, Worgl, Innsbrucke , and Salzburg for Mozart its like the garden of eden

I had a super experience with the Austrian Embassy in London. Ms T. Frahmann couldn’t have been more helpful. She guided me in the right directions to obtain my first Austrian passport and Staatsbürgerschaftsnachweiss. All her instructions were easy to follow and my emails were always answered within a few hours. In the embassy the lady dealing with my request on the day I visited, was very efficient, too.

For me this was a great customer service. I am very pleased. Thank you 👍👍👍👍👍

I am very impressed with the professionality and speed from Marlene Alexis.

I have contacted the embassy and Marlene was very knowledgeable and very fast. Knew exactly how to help and walked me through what I need to do!

Her help is very very much appreciated and was very special for me and my family.



I also wanted to thank Tamara Frahmann for all the help and work and for the easy expierence beeing at the embassy and when we handled over all the papers to her.



We always knew what was going on and it was a fantastic expirience for us!

Ein ganz großes Lob der österreichischen Botschaft in London und ihren kompetenten, freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeitern, die einem in einer Notfallsituation rasch und unkompliziert helfen! Vielen, vielen Dank an alle! Meinen Notpass habe ich innerhalb von 15 Minuten bekommen und ein paar tröstende Worte noch als kostenlose Zugabe. Nochmals ganz herzlichen Dank, you made my day!!! Ich bin wirklich stolz, dass das "MEINE" Botschaft ist!

They need more than one person dealing with passports,two windows for visas and one for passports is not good enough. London embassy is the only place in the U.K. to get an Austrian passport and it's only open till 12,which is a joke,all that aside after traveling from Scotland and stressing about getting there on time,the people working there are helpful nice and efficient.

the Austrian government are using tax payers money to give security to the bilderberg meeting , they have already intimidated reporters from the London guardian and harassing reporters from all over the world.



the bilderberg meeting is a private organisation,that's obviously in control of the Austrian government

Very rude and impolite costumer service!!! And these people represent Austria?!!!!

I've never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. The lady I talked to on the phone was extremely rude, didn't give any useful information. She was shouting at me, saying I should just terminate my visa application. My friend got asked personal questions unrelated to her visa application. She was also refusing to give me her name. Eventually, she said her name is Sandra (no surname, sadly). The fact that this person works at the Austrian embassy and represents this country is very frustrating and disappointing.
