Authors' Licensing & Collecting Society (Alcs) Description

ALCS collects money due to members for secondary uses of their work. These include activities such as photocopying, cable re-transmission in the UK and overseas, digital reproduction, educational recording and repeat use via the internet. We make payments twice a year to members who are owed money for any secondary uses of their works. ALCS also campaigns on behalf of writers on a national and international level.
