The current London ULEZ charge is a step forward but is it just another easy revenue stream and tax on motorists? They need to extend transport pollution remedies to aviation and shipping which are massive pollution culprits. Many families cannot afford the cost of expensive and unproven electric vehicles. Small businesses cannot afford to suddenly upgrade their fleet of vans and HGV’s to electric. Only diesel can produce the bhp needed to haul tonnes of cargo to destinations across country.
