Located in the heart of Mayfair, Avista brings a little touch of Italy to Mayfair with spectacular dishes. Serving up a modern Italian style Avista's menus regularly change to take advantage of the freshest seasonal produce.
Avista Restaurant & Bar Description
Located in the heart of Mayfair and featuring its own private entrance at 39 Grosvenor Square, Avista is a 75 seat restaurant, with a separate bar for up to 25, and a private dining room for 8, designed by David d'Almada, designer of several prominent restaurants in London.
Avista also boasts its own bar and a long wooden Chef's table suitable for larger parties up to 12 people.
In the main part of the restaurant is a granite-topped work station where chefs prepare the final touches to their dishes.
Avista's secluded private dining room which seats 8, has its own street entrance and sliding doors for complete privacy.
The menu is diverse combining a variety of both rustic and contemporary Italian dishes. The wine list also deserves a mention for its large selection of fine wines, predominantly from Italy.
Avista Bar is fast becoming famous for its extensive selection of cocktails. Cosy and inviting Avista Bar is the place to be seen.
This Mayfair Bar is trendy without being imposing.
Large abstract paintings, selective seating at the bar and subdued lighting, creates a cool ambience perfect to start or finish enjoying a night out in Mayfair.
Try an Avista Exquisite with vodka, raspberry puree, champagne, crème framboise or a mouth watering traditional Pineapple Mojito consisting of fresh pineapple, fresh mint, brown sugar, lime, Bacardi rum and ginger ale.

We recently had our wedding reception at Avista, in fact 4 weeks today. It is as relaxed as a trattoria but with the style of a ristorante. The food is amazing, flavours and presentation well thought out, I'm still not sure how they make a piece of chicken taste so good. The staff are attentive but the captain of the ship is Fabio. A genuinely passionate host who believes in his food, his chef and his team and gives each customer the best experience and guidance whether they want to spend 20 or 200 pounds each. So if you want to taste great food from a young, passionate team aspiring for greatness then drop in to Avista, you won't be disappointed.
We had the 5 course tasting menu with bellini for lunch. Added the bread option and the cheese course as extras. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had read that the portions are small and they are, so if you want a large meal don't choose the taster menu. That said, there was more than enough for myself and my husband to keep us full for the rest of the day and evening. Once you have polished off all the courses, you certainly don't go hungry. The quality of ingredients, presentation and taste combinations were so good. A real luxurious treat

We had 7 courses tasting menu with bellini. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We added bread option and it was very tasty. The staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed that lunch and we are going to visit this beautiful restaurant again.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed beautifully served desert-Dark and milk chocolate rocher, pistachio and raspberry.
The 7 course taster menu is outstanding. Hats off to the chef. Complemented with bubbles, atmosphere and amazing staff this was a credit to Groupon for landing such a great restaurant. Highly recommend this place. Avista 5 stars.

Exceptional food served by perfectly attentive, friendly (and attractive!) waiters. The Maitre'D was friendly and ensured the meal went without hiccups. I give this restaurant 100%.

The cocktail bar was very cold and had no atmosphere but the restaurant was excellent!
We had seven course tasting menu last night. Food was good but we felt cheated when our bill came to nearly £140 having already paid for the groupon voucher. The bill included 2 x bottles of wine which was fair enough but we had also been charged for bread and a cheese course. We were offered this and we were not informed there was a supplementary charge. The bread was £9 and the cheese and addition £35. Left feeling very deflated.
Interesting dining experience mixed with nice staff, forgotten orders and embarrassing long waits between the courses. Our 7 course meal experience lasted 2.30hrs (may be for some this might be acceptable, I was not impressed as at one point I had to remind the waiter that we are waiting for the next course to be served!) My observation leaves me with an impression that although food is nice, the staff polite and overall atmosphere relaxed, the time management and efficiency really sucks. Especially, the staff struggled to manage and cope with their attending duties when a large group of about 25-30 people came over.
