What lovely place the staff are more than helpful on any questions and solve them ASAP mostly manger ELLIE and bar and diner service person ALLY made me and my sons two day stay a lot more comfortable thank you

User

We went to the Bakers Arms for Christmas Day lunch, the food was very nice and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much bother and they helped to make the day special. We will be going back to try the recommended sea bass and risotto.

User

To be honest we were going to the Sun but they were shut. I had a bad meal here a couple of years ago but my son in law and daughter chose this pub so I went

Well I am glad I did the waitress was very friendly and efficient and the food was out of this world.

I had had a long hard day and this was so welcome and relaxing I was glad we eat here rather than getting a take away.

I highly recommend this place can't fault it and will come again

User

User

Just popped in on way home from work with my husband for dinner and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great warm welcome , lovely restaurant with real fire roaring and and candles lit on every table giving it a cozy feel. Rachael our waitress gave outstanding service and the food was great value, I had BRewers chicken and my husband had steak and ale pie both piping hot and really tasty. Followed by apple pie and custard. So thankyou to the chef too. Will 100% be going back with family. Thankyou Chef and Brewer

User

Excellent food and a great visit last week with our dog. Very accommodating and are planning a return this week

User

Booked in for lunch.

On arrival asked by name without prompting. Showed straight to table.

Very friendly staff and atmosphere.

Order taken as soon as we were ready.

Food very good quality. I had Gourmet Chicken "sandwich".

It was a tower of chicken, bacon, egg and tomato on the tastiest Sun dried tomato bread. Great value.

We also had breakfast after staying in the Premier Inn.

Staff as friendly and efficient.

Shame no bubble but breakfast excellent.

Well worth a visit.

User

Amazing pub, friendliest staff and local patrons. Great service and a lovely time

User

Stayed at the inn next door and had lunch and breakfast here. The food was very nice, but the stand out thing for me was the staff. The guy who looked after us for lunch was really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast team were super busy but super efficient and nice too. It's what should be normal service in pubs and restaurants but it's very often lacking. Not here! Great food, excellent staff!

User

Went for Sunday lunch late yesterday afternoon, food very good, but had to keep asking several times for children's cutlery & napkins, long wait for our drinks order. Went to bar to ask if they had forgotten them & saw the tray with our drinks just sitting on the bar while the waitress was off doing other things not sure how long they'd been there, but I had ordered cappuccino & by the time I got it it was not very hot! I don't think we will be going back.

User

Worse service I’ve had in ages! Food so so, the wait between food is amazing!!!! Still sat here waiting for the cheese board just how long does it take to sort? Not recommended at all.

User

The lasagna was awful! so stodgy and tasteless,I have never had lasagna with carrots in the sauce absolutely no sign of tomato in fact it was like left over mince between two sheets of pasta,No sight of cheese apart from what was grated over the top , on the other hand the chips were lovely next time a lot cheaper to have a chip butty

User

Service was very slow meat was over cooked and Luke warm ! I must say tho the lady that serverd us last (change over of shift) was very good just a shame that it took over 3 hours from start to finish!

User

Firstly let me start by saying the food was good and the only reason they got 2*s. The service was appalling - one waitress trying to serve 2 different sections which was clearly too much for her. By the time she came to do a drink order (20 minutes after being seated) we said we was ready to order food at the same time and she replied “ok but I’ll just get your drinks first” which wasn’t ideal as we had already been waiting quite a while... she then returned with a napkin and wrote our order on it... surely a piece of paper would be more practical? As stated before food was good, no offer of extra drinks or desert menus so we got the bill and left. Such a shame as it’s a lovely pub in a great location. Appreciate there is times when you can be short staffed but maybe give people the option of ordering at the bar to make things easier for yourself. We felt that everything we asked for was received in a negative way and the waitress didn’t really want to be there. Not very customer friendly and based on this we won’t return.

User

Fiancé's birthday. Couldn't book online, tried to phone , nobody answered so left my booking details on answerphone. Turned up and told had no table and that they were sorry but had no time to check answerphone messages??? Really??

Ended up with a table in bar, by the time the food arrived appetite pretty much gone.. not much of an apology from staff or management .. Very poor show!!

User

The food was average, the plum crumble was barely Luke warm sent it back only to be barely Luke warm yet again! The staff were not very attentive we asked for more drinks but never got it despite the fact that there were plenty of waitresses on duty, they seemed to have a problem making eye contact with us! Looking around I don't think we were the only customers that were having a problem!
