Back to work this week after a month off...and we came back with a bang! I mean just look at this beauty 😍 3 tier jungle cake for Miles’ 1st Birthday...Chocolate, vanilla and lemon sponges, delicious!

I can’t believe it has been almost a month since i last posted 🙈 Our new house has been keeping me so busy i have barely had any time to think about anything else! Atleast i made it half way through #marchmeetthemaker 🙄 Anyway back to work this week so here is a wonderful joint 40th/50th Birthday cake we made for a couple who love to travel 🧳 I love this cake more because the top layer was my favourite banoffee cake ❤️

Day 15 👪Motivation/Goals👪 That’s easy....him!! I was always determined i had to make my business some sort of success as i knew if and when i had kids i wanted to be able to stay at home and look after them rather than go out to work. It’s hard there is no question but it is worth it...i work when be naps and most evenings and weekends but i get to spend time with him and make memories that a lot of people don’t get the chance too and for that i am very grateful. Day 14 #marchmeetthemaker (catching up slowly so you may see a few posts today!!) 🧁How I Learned🧁 I used to bake when i was young and got taught by a family friend @akela66 😍 I used to bake a bit growing up but re kindled my love for it when i got out of University. At this point i started a business making cupcakes and realised the demand for celebration cakes so took it upon myself to teach myself to make them. With a mix of youtube videos, online tutorials, day classes and... a lot of help in a class by @shereenscakes (who is amazing and you need to go spend a day with her!) my cakes got a lot better over time! I named my business after my niece Amber (who i call Bamba) She is one if the most important things in my life so it made sense to name it after her! She has Cerebral Palsy and made me realise that life is to short and you should do what you love...and i love to bake!! #marchmeetthemaker Day 7 🙈Less Glam Side🙈 Yup that is photos of a fully finished cake that was dropped on the floor 10pm the night before it was due. (Although we made it into cake jars and ate them...floor cake) I love baking and cake decorating but i have thrown tantrums and cried (oh have i cried 😭😭 sorry Mr Bamba’s Bakery) over cake. I have dropped cakes, had wedding cakes collapse on the way to the venue and things go wrong....so wrong!! Cakes sinking, bad covers, fondant splitting, decorations collapsing or not setting, stacking wonky and cakes just generally looking bad! Delicious double raspberry bakewell tart made last night, this was a James Martin recipe found on BBC Good Food. I love being able to make things that just taste delicious and dont have to look perfect!! 😂

I placed an order with Bamba's bakery for my sons 16th birthday cake. Well what can I say professional from start to finish. When the cake was delivered I was over the moon. It looked absolutely amazing And to top it off tasted fabulous. We opted for the chocolate orange sponge with the same butter cream. Wow �

I will definitely be using Bamba's bakery again and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I am NOT biased being Bambas mum and all but i have NEVER tasted anything SO delightful. Being a proud taster of new recipes, such as the whoopie pies and cookies and brownies, I have not yet experienced anything that didn't make me want more and more.

Bambas bakery is by far my favourite and I very much look forward to having many more cakes that taste like absolute heaven.
