Today we will be welcoming musicians from the Greenwich Youth Band, where they will get an inside view of the Changing the Guard ceremony. Then preparations will commence for our short concert this evening at 6pm. Today will give the young musicians an insight into life as a musician in the British Army.
Also give the Corps of Army Music’s Instagram page a follow @Corps_Army_Music for an inside look of our day as we will be hosting an account takeover.

The band had their last Changing of the Guard with the Irish Guards today, as they come to the end of their stint of public duties this week.
This means we have to bid a fond farewell to Drum Major Gareth Chambers, who has worked closely with the band for events such as the The Belfast International Tattoo, as well as many of our marching displays.
We wish Drum Major Chambers and the rest of the Irish Guards the best of luck.

Happy Birthday to Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex.
Here is a brilliant rendition of Happy Birthday by The Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra to mark the occasion.

Twenty members of the band are preparing to travel home and defrost after an amazing week skiing in the Alps.
There were three different ability groups, training from complete beginner to advanced skiing. Over the past six days two of the group's have been working towards military skiing qualifications, which as well as skiing included touring and avalanche safety assessments.
Well done to everyone; a great week had by all.

Whilst members of the band are enjoying themselves on Adventure Training, two members of our Recruiting Team went to the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Refreshers and Careers Fair. Colour Sergeant Hooper and Lance Sergeant Mclauchlin represented the Corps of Army Music to tell the students what we can offer as a professional musician in the British Army.

The band have put their instruments away and are currently on Adventure Training. Some members of the band are skiing in the Val Thorens resort in France and the rest are doing various activities in the Cotswolds.
Today we focus on our members in the Cotswolds. Yesterday a group were in Stow in the Wold on a walking activity. Each member had to take it in turns navigating using a map on an 8 mile hill walk.
