We are a group of third year International Hospitality Management students studying Contemporary Issues in Hospitality as one of our modules.
Bar Beacons objectives and how does it work?. . .
- Provides bars with a new technology which will increase service efficiency and reduce customer waiting time.
- Using high tech watches, our technology allows employees to tally up bar orders with a tap of the wrist.
- A simple beacon which when in range, connects with the watch and knows how much the drink is.
- This appears on the watch and the bartenders will 'accept or reject', hopefully it being the right drink which is served, and then is able to pay by contactless there and then or use the till for cash.
- This will speed up service in a bar as a common problem being there is not enough tills for all bartenders use at once when busy.
