Sando game: 💯

£11.50 for 3 course lunch every Monday - Friday. No that's not a typo.

User

We add orange peel to our White Port & Tonic to be reminiscent of the orange grove at Churchill’s Quinta da Gricha in the Douro.

User

Enjoy our marinated artichokes, watercress & requeijão with a side of White Port & Tonic 🍽️

User

Is there anything better than chargrilled sardines with blistered peppers & shaved fennel? 👌🏼

User

Have you picked your wine yet? 🍷 Olho de Mocho Reserva is full of fruity aroma, with hints of tobacco, spices and mint #Wine

User

Thrilled to be in the September issue of Decanter! “The food is authentically Portuguese, with some of the best, most meltingly tender octopus I’ve eaten.” – thank you for the kind words Decanter 🐙 #BarDouro

User

View from the cockpit 💡👌

One for this hot weather 👆🏼Tiago Sampaio’s ‘Palhete’ rosé is light on its feet with bright red fruit notes and elegant minerality, reminiscent of a Pinot Noir. Pairs wonderfully with our heritage tomatoes in white port vinaigrette 👌🏼🍅

Looking for a summer white? This wonderful Alentejan Amphora Branco is aged in unlined clay ‘amphora’ pots🍷 It’s bone dry, with a long mineral finish and pairs perfectly with our sardines👌🏼

User

The best decision you’ll make all week! After months of fine tweaking we’re pretty confident we’ve created THE best sandwich in London.
Our sandes de pernil 👉🏼 juicy free range pork shoulder, topped with toucinho (lardo from the black pig) and creamy Serra cheese.
Available every Monday-Friday lunch.

User

Mushroom & Serra cheese rissole back on the menu! So nice you order it twice 🤤

User

Introducing our confit duck leg escabeche on grilled sourdough. A mainstay in Mediterranean and Latin cooking, escabeche refers to a dish of meat or fish, marinated and cooked in an acidic mixture.
We confit our duck in-house and then marinate it in shallots, onions, red pepper, orange peel, orange juice, cinnamon and red wine vinegar. 🦆
It’s pretty tasty, if we do say so ourselves.

Went on Thursday for a pre-theatre meal and everything was exceptional, friendly and helpful staff plus delicious food and good wine. Only critique would be I ordered a sparkling wine while waiting for a friend and it could have been more chilled.

User

This small bar/restaurant has it all! Great food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. A must-go regardless of your experience with Portuguese food... you'll fall in love with it by the end of your meal. Keep up the good work!

User

This is a new bar with excellent food. The lunch menu is incredibly good value - don't miss the custard tarts! We tried 4 dishes and they were all excellent. The signature pork sandwich is very yummy and don't miss the smoked game sausage croquettes. Lots for veggies too. Portuguese wine is an acquired taste .....

User

This is a fabulous restaurant, not the first time we've been and it definitely won't be the last.

Food is fantastic and the staff are lovely and very welcoming.

User

Superb choice of Portuguese wines. I had a vinho verde and ate the best Gambas I’ve had for a long time. Loved being able to watch the chef cooking the food we’d ordered. Friendly staff made it a really enjoyable meal and evening

User

Super cool new spot in Borough - loved sitting along the long bar and watching the chefs at work - highlights of the menu are definitely the grilled octopus and the cataplana fish stew with whole prawns - dont miss the warm pastel de natas and a glass of Churchill's white port at the end. Destined to become a London classic, especially with Mumford and Son's new venue next door. Will be back.

User

Small selection menu but they do it well! Hits the spot. Friendly and polite staff!

User

Lovely evening in this excellent restaurant. Food and wine were delicious - especially the prawns - and we enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the food being prepared.

User

Lovely and real Portuguese food at a great value for money (and a great wine selection!)

User

Loved it great evening with friends! Good selection of Portuguese wine & food (dishes a little on the small side for a Portuguese born ) pica pau was nice and bacalhau, goes without say it’s a must!

User

Justifiably "busy as". But once seated, not a foot wrong - wonderful plates, prepared right in front of you, by staff who clearly love what they do and where they are doing it. Wines carefully selected and perfect compliments ... going back soon!

User

Excellent food 🥘.. Great wine 🍷 & perfect Portuguese atmosphere 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹👏👏👏😁

User

Bloody brilliant! Creative yet delicious food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Coming from Porto originally, it certainly brought back that little bit of nostalgia. Keep doing what you're doing guys, and I'll be back for the whole suckling pig!

User

Amazing food and wines.

It's great to see Portuguese food being translated to the London realm without losing it's character.

Congrats to the chef and the whole team.

User

The white port and tonic was a revelation on a hot summer afternoon. We couldn't wait until the kitchen opened again at 5.30 so had olives and snacks which were delicious. I would have given 5 stars if there had been more gluten free options in the snacks section. Can't wait to go back and try the full menu.

User

Real taste of Portugal exquisite bar food. Excellent Portuguese wine. Rrelaxed ambience & prompt service

User

Excellent food, really tasty and being at the kitchen able to watch adds entertainment!! Service was a bit slow but it was the first day so it will improve. Will be back cos there were a few dishes we didn't try ;p

User

Tasty food but poor service. Ignored on arrival, given a carafe when we ordered a bottle of wine, no bread until we asked, ignored when trying to pay the bill!

User

Lovely service, delicious menu and a stylish setting but a surprisingly expensive experience. The wine list had nothing below £30. And sadly even after sharing 2 snack plates, 3 tapas and a cheese board and after paying £53 a head, I left somewhat hungry.

The cheese board was delicious but was hardly put together with sharing in mind- three tiny portions of cheese with a small number of miniature biscuits for £14. There's nothing sadder than a mean cheese board!
