Barking Road Runners

Barking Road Runners is a small, friendly running club. Our members range from sub-3hr marathoners to the more leisurely Sunday morning joggers.

Barking Road Runners were formed in 1984 and are affiliated to both the South of England Athletics Association and the Essex Athletic Association. We are a small, friendly club with around 100 members of mixed sex, age and ability – from sub 3 hour marathoners to the more leisurely Sunday morning joggers. Our members enjoy and compete in a range of local and regional races in distances from 5k to marathon and beyond. Some of our members choose not to race on every occasion, and sometimes come along to support and socialise. Our annual Bank Holiday Monday 5km race takes place in Barking Park in late August!
