Last time we took some of the fire out of feet and ankles… Now we’re going to look at a more permanent solution.
We can all agree the hamstrings play a role in hip extension, but the hamstrings primary role is actually to act as a decelerator and breaker, and provide stability from the glutes through the knee and calf, achilles, ankle and foot. Failure to train the hamstrings properly - not respecting its true function - means th...e foot has to work way too much… So ankle issues and a weakening of the achilles tendon…
[1] Position B*stard ball underneath your leg onto the meat of your hamstring [2] Hunt around for a tight spot, then contract and relax [3] Pressure wave up and down, left and right across the tissue
Now combine a single leg deadlift with a hip flexor stretch of your choice. Repeat as often as necessary.

The B*stard smash and stretch combo for... Pretty much everything…
[1] Ideally, the feet would be elevated. Position them on a chair or a box for greatest effect. [2] Position B*stard ball on the lower back, just above the pelvis and to the side of your spine. [3] If the feet are on the ground, bring the knees up, then slowly shift the hips and roll the knees left and right.... [4] Breathe into the ball… Relax around it… Try not to swear… - [1] On elbows and knees, place one hand on your opposite bicep, and your free hand onto the side of your head. [2] Push your bum backwards and sink into the stretch… [3] Using your head, push your hand outwards [external rotation of the shoulder] [4] Bring your head and hand back to the center and drop deeper into the stretch [5] 5 repetitions is sufficient… - [1] Gracefully slip into a straddle… [2] Holding a light weight overhead, laterally flex / bend towards the toes on one side [3] Return to start position and repeat on the opposite side [4] This is an excellent movement for both highlighting and fixing mobility issues throughout the entire body… Try it and you’ll see what I mean…
