Yes a friend as got a Railway Carriage at Battlesbridge... antiques you go into the pub car park.. and there are to the left hand side ..and she does ..Tarrant cards... as well.. tell Debbie it's come from me ..she's just in the middle .. of opening up ..so maybe if you've got a few collectables you might like her to sell ...for you then go in and pop in and see her...

User

Wonderful day out!

The whole place has a lovely and relaxing atmosphere, with lovely friendly people!

I look forward to visiting the Mill and it's tea rooms, and looking around at all the shops in the antique village!

I love taking my friends there and sharing my experience with others! :) :)

User

What a lovely couple of hours browsing and reminiscing, to top it all a lovely cup of tea with lovely service and a smile!

User

We visit Battlesbridge every few months and we always come away with some little treasure.

Its lovely to stroll around in and out of all the little antique and second hand shops, and stop of in the tea rooms for a pot of tea & cake, or have lunch & a glass of vino in the pub. Occasionally we will go to the motorbillia weekends, they can be fun especially when the sun shines!

Something for everyone at Battlesbridge! Love it there!

User

We always go from time to time and love it.bought a nice portmerion egg basket for 12 quid. Going again soon.

User

Very interesting place

User

This is THE show and jumble to attend in this area. There is a very friendly atmosphere as you wonder the fields and the sun always shines.

User

Lovely place to visit with lots of things to look at and buy. Finished off with tea and cake at Frazers - lovely scrummy

User

Lovely place nestled next to the river. Lots to see and well kept surroundings. Lovely to be able to park, have a drink at the Barge pub or a tea/coffee and a cream tea etc at the cafe at the top of the Mill that over looks the Essex Countryside and the river that flows under the bridge amongst the fields.

User

Lovely little stroll round and popped for a earned drink in the Micro-pub One Green Bottle,Superb selection of Beers Cider an Mulled wine !!! Oh how Splendid.))

User

Loved going back for a visit after 29 years of living in Scotland. Very friendly vendors and lots to look at. Unfortunately I had to restrict myself to small things I could put in my suitcase. Great bacon rolls too!

User

Love this place brought my daughters for the first time and they loved it

We will certainly be returning many more times

And a big thankyou for the lady who let us sit on the bench outside her shop so my daughter could feed the twins

User

Love Battlesbridge. Had a good mooch & a cup of coffee in the little cafe overlooking the river. I can def recommend a B&B called Frazers. Stayed there a couple of times over the years. Would def rate it a 5 out of 5 & as it is situated right in the centre of Battlesbridge itself, is ideally positioned for your antique browsing.

User

It’s a lovely place to visit and explore all the shops ,it’s amazin what you can find

User

I simply love going to Battlesbridge whether it's for a Sunday visit to browse round or to go to either or both of the motabillia days it's a perfect place to while away a few hours and the people are jolly helpful too

User

Had a nice wander round yesterday - although Monday isn't the best day as some shops are closed. My cousin was able to sell a few bits and we had a lovely lunch in The Barge Inn. Nice staff and excellent pub grub. The Mill is like a museum! So much to look at!

User

Great venue for a show as you also have fabulous antiques and collectables to look around and 3 different cafes plus the Barge inn which does very tasty food. Something for everyone

User

Great place to shop around. Prices are very reasonable and I have found some amazing things here over the years

User

Great place for all things old, collectable and different. Make sure you give yourself loads of hours to look around. No need to leave the place to have something to eat because there's at least 5 places there.

User

Friendly and welcoming people...

My favourite stall is the photographer at the top of the building..lovely lunch in the tea room..great views and surroundings

User

First time I'd ever been to Battlesbridge and at first i didn't think there was much there, but around every corner was another quaint little store with its own charm. I loved the olde worlde feel and I will definitely make a return trip

User

Fantastic day out for the family with plenty to see and places to eat. Picturesque place to go. Lots of lovely finds in the antique and shabby chic.

User

User

Brilliant place for antiques also lovely tea rooms and pub xx

User

Been to Battlesbridge many times, love the feeling of nostalgia as you go into shops and see things from your past. Lovely place to visit and the coffee shop on the top floor offers wonderful views of the Essex countryside.

User

Beautiful shops . Lovely place 👍🏻

User

A wonderful trip down memory lane. Helpful people when looking to sell objects and a great lunch at the pub. A whole day out with sun, coffee and good friends. One of my favourite places to spend time 😁

User

A lovely place to visit and you can easily spend the day here. Lovely people, lovely shops and lovely coffee shops. All in all a great place.

User

You could spend hours here finding all sorts of unusual items. The cafe on the top floor is very pleasant with great views.

User

Very enjoyable couple of hours spent there yesterday, just nice having a mooch about the antique centre. Recommend The Barge Inn, it's a good place for lunch and the mill has a lovely cafe at the very top with excellent views.

User

Love this place. So much to see. Loved the coffee shop on the top floor, beautiful views.

User

I love to browse around this great place but feel sad that a lot of traders have left especially those around the outside of the mill. Always bag some bargains here and have a decent lunch too. They have expanded the units on the other side of the road though behind 'Jackie's' so they are worth a look.

User

Highly recommend Frasers Tea rooms, mouth watering cakes, gorgeous sandwiches and endless pots of tea. Then for a wander around the antiques centre where there is lots to see and buy.

User

Great couple hour's there very busy and had a lovely lunch in the tea room staff very friendly.

User

Dissapointed have been coming to this lovely place for a few years. There is not the variety of items even in the mill seems lots of furniture and not much else. We loved all the unusual bits and bobs that were on sale before. Many if the glass cabinets with these in seem to have now. Still had a pleasant day wandering around.

User

A well hidden gem. Everyone is friendly and really helpful. Great place to search for some fabulous items.

User

Not been here for a few years. Good although a lot of the items for sale in the main building are quite expensive. Items in the smaller cabins opposite are more reasonably priced. All in all I had a very pleasant little mooch around.

User

Had a lovely couple of hours there yesterday. Just so busy and parking was difficult being a Sunday. Bought a few items. Had mini tea in the tea room the service from the staff was lovely. A couple of things. They had a baby shower and it was so so noisy no respect for the surrounding tables. The food was mostly lovely but I got a long hair in my ham sandwich . I didn't make a fuss as I felt the girls had gone out of their way to make up the mini tea I felt awkward. The scone was fresh and warm and tasted lovely. We may pop back but if there's a large group like that we won't stay. It wasn't just us that were bothered by the loud baby shower there were several other tables making distress signals too shame
