A friendly local duathlon in Aston Clinton: 2 mile run, 12 mile road cycle then 2 mile run. Enter as an individual £20 or a team £25.
Bearbrook Duathlon Description
A friendly local duathlon for competitors keen to sample the delights of duathlon with a 2 mile park run followed by a challenging 12 mile road ride with the 2 mile run repeated.
Race can be done individually or why not take it on as a team if you know someone who's handy on a bike or can run like the wind!
This is the first year of the event so is set at a bargain price to help us understand the logistics to make it a fantastic event going forward! £20 for individuals or £25 for Teams. Add a fiver if you're not a BTF member.
Despite this being a "fun" event I fully expect to see some awesome times out there to set course PBs.

Well done to everyone who took part in todays race. Here are your results including the deductions we made on the bike course for any waits you had at the traffic lights. Well done to Ben Hawkins and Heather Golla who both achieved new course records out there, impressive stuff! See you all next year!
Right we have 30 brave competitors signed up for Sundays event which is super exciting. We've had our final meeting discussing the plans for the day and all should run super smoothly so all you guys need to do is rest up, plan your packing and arrive nice and promptly on Sunday morning BEFORE 7:30 for our 8am START! Sped up version of the bike course
Full lap of the bike course with narration about pot holes and things to watch out for. I don't think there's any singing on it.
So I've just been out and recced the bike course. Not sure how much you can take from this but I've also done a boring 11minute long narrated version if you are really bored!

I've just been to Aston Clinton park and its looking nice n ready for next week's race and the local council have even laid some beautiful new tarmac on the entrance road to avoid all those horrible stones! I'll try to get out for a lap of the bike route later and will report back on the rest of the surface..... Oh and please encourage everyone you know to enter the race. Thanks!

Hurrah! British Triathlon have given us the green light to go ahead with our event & made us official. We are at 15 entrants so far which is EXACTLY the same amount of you at this same point last year. This Sunday it's only 4 Weeks until the 2nd Bearbrook Duathlon. Last year a whopping 83% of you signed up with less than a month to go, please for my sanitys sake could you please sign up sooner this year. So. If you have our lovely little event pencilled into your diary please make today the day you upgrade it to a big fat inky commitment. thanks! A 2 mile run, a testing 12 mile ride around Wendover-Halton then a glorious 2 mile run in Aston Clinton Park. Do it on your own f...or £20 or as a relay team for £25. The perfect way to get you into multisport for the first time. The perfect race to do with your husband/wife to see if they really can ride that bike they spent a small fortune on. The perfect race for getting out on a Sunday morning for a spot of friendly competition.
