Bedhead Football Club Description
Bed Head Football Club arrived on the local football scene in February 2007. The result of an idea conceived by Anthony Mascolo, International Creative Director of the Bed Head Hair Group and Laurence Batty, ex-professional football player and professional football coach. The goal was to create a local football team for an under 11 age group to play in league matches and provide professional quality coaching for all.
Training was once a week on the tennis courts at Battersea Park and, on our first night, 14 boys aged between 10 and 11 attended.
Over the years the club has progressively grown through word of mouth. As of September 2014, we will have over 300 boys ready to enter the London Saturday Youth League, playing in age groups from Under 7 to Under 17.
Due to the increase in the number of children wishing to play football and the varied backgrounds and circumstances of their families, Anthony, with other members of his family, has created the GUY MASCOLO FOOTBALL CHARITY - in honour of his brother Guy, who sadly passed away in 2009.
The charity will assist in funding Bed Head FC, allowing the club to keep its prices competitive and affordable to every child living in the local area.
