We are from South Africa and it was suggested by friends here in the UK that we visit Bekonscot Model Village. What a wonderful morning we spent browsing along beautifully landscaped gardens and paths as we went from one perfect model to another. My husband and I both decided that it isn't only for children but is sufficiently interesting for old and young alike. Thank you for the wonderful experience, one which helped to make our holiday even more special! Best wishes, Terry and Sharon Lockyear, South Africa.

User

Very impressive and well laid out. Easy to find with parking in the church car park just across the road.

User

This is our third visit with our Granddaughter, and her little brothers first, but I am sure it won't be their last, it's a lovely place to visit and the children love chasing round following the trains. Our Granddaughter loved the man falling off his ladder and the man with a Paint pot on his head. And she also liked the new part with the castle and the church.

I am 70 this year and can remember coming here also with my parents, it's somewhere you can never tire off.

User

This is my 50th year of visiting Bekonscot. It's great to see them adding attractions while keeping the essence of what Bekonscot has always been.

User

Perfect day out for kids. We took our grandchildren age 3 and 5 the other day. They loved it. 2-3 hours is enough to see everything and have a ride on the train and that’s long enough for Mose kids anyway. Good value too. You can take a picnic if you want.

User

My husband and I have now taken our four granddaughters, and they have loved it . It’s well kept and clean . My husband would stay there all day just watching the miniature trains , worth ever penny .

User

Lovely relaxing day out with my grandchildren to celebrate my birthday. Really good play area, picnic area, toilets and baby changing area plus a safe store for picnics so you don't have to carry them around with you and free parking and that's without the joy of the model village. Hadn't been there since my own children were tiny and my 6 month old grandson and 19 month old granddaughter had a brilliant time. Thank you for this haven of stepping into a miniature world from the past.

User

I thought is was very good, the paths may need to be a bit bigger, as when you have kids running around and Lisa is trying to keep her balance with her Crutches, it makes it hard for her, but other than that it was very nice, they didn't have a lot of choice of food in the Tea room.

User

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video which was well presented and very authentic, except for the giants - lol!!

I was amazed to read of the length of time it has been running since its inception so many years ago, and it must be quite an experience to visit and view it up close.

Well done to all involved with it.

Best wishes from Ken in Kilmaurs, East Ayrshire

I had the most enjoyable two hours rekindling my inner child. They have thought of everything you could possibly see in an idyllic fantasy country village. I felt really happy walking round discovering all the little hidden gems, like the woman cleaning the windows inside one of the houses, the man falling off his ladder, the fireman putting out the fire on a thatched roof, the two boys climbing the tree in a backyard, the parishioners and vicar inside the church etc etc I could go on all day.Thank you for taking me away from the seriousness of life if only for a couple of hours!

User

Great place. We took our nearly 3yr old and we all loved it. Such attention to detail, which amazed us all. My son was so excited especially about all the trains on show. Nice little picnic area/coffee shop and play area for the little ones. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend a visit. Thank you

User

Great childhood memories from school trips and truly magical. I can now take my children there to experience the miniature magic! Absolute gr8 way to kill a few hours

User

Fantastic place. Visited yesterday for the first time in 55 years, when I was a 10 year old and it's even better than my memory recalled.

Can't wait to take my grandchild.

User

Even in pouring rain we had a funday at Beconscot yesterday. The little villages and houses are in fantastic condition- lovely display. Kids enjoyed the train too!

User

Came here a few times as a child loved it when staying with relatives in High Wycombe brought my daughter about 8 years ago then went to London for the day 2year ago my daughter and 2 granddaughters came they loved it hoping to come this year again :)

User

A great day out! There was so much to see, the detail that has gone into the village is amazing! The only downside was the cost of coffee, considering you make it yourself!

User

Had a lovely day out today with my husband and daughter (1 1/2 yrs old). Amazing models and interest for all the family. Playground added an extra dimension for our daughter and there was ample seating for our picnic.
