Benfleet Fc

Benfleet Football Club is a charter-standard youth community football club based at Woodside Park, Benfleet. Our senior team play Step 6 football in the Eastern Counties (Thurlow Nunn) League.

Benfleet Football Club (incorporating Benfleet Youth FC) is a large, grass roots, non-profit football club situated at Woodside Park, Benfleet in the area of Castle Point in South East Essex, where it has been situated here for over 30 years.

We currently have an Executive Committee of 4 members. Dave Dady, Chairman, John Wellmen, Club Secretary, Claire Cable, Treasurer and Facilities Director and Paul Mckew, Youth Secretary, Child Welfare Officer.

Membership of the Club is open to anyone interested in the sport of football, regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, religion or beliefs.

We promote Football at all levels of the sport and this is a vital part of our community which brings people together from all backgrounds this in mind we have a responsibility of a club to promote high standards to behaviour in the game, this includes not only the players and parent /carers but for the coaches, team mangers and club officials.

The club currently has:

A Football Academy for 4 and 5 year old children who just train and learn the basic skills of football and development. Training takes place at Woodside Park, every Saturday morning from 9am. (Winter Months Facilities may change).

The Club's Mini Soccer section consists of:

2 U7 teams, 2 U9 teams and 2 U10 teams this is all non-competitive mini soccer football and is part of the South East Essex league. These teams train every Satruday morning at Woodside Park from 9. 30am.

In addition to this we have 2 U11 teams, 3 U13 teams, 2 U14 teams and 1 U16 team this completes all our youth section of 14 teams which compete in the Southend & District Junior Youth League. These teams train at Woodside Park every Saturday from 9. 30am.

The Adult section of BFC currently has a Mid-Essex Saturday League side and a Veterans League side for over 35 year olds.

We are an ambitious club anxious to provide all our members with good organisation and facilities to play the game of football, and be part of something within the community to be proud of. We have undertaken the task of becoming a Charter Status club with the Essex Country FA. As part of this initiative all our Managers have gained their Level 1 Coaching Award and are CRB checked in accordance to the FA guidelines and several of our managers are Level 2 qualified along with an ongoing list of coaches who are qualified to Level 1 standard. We complete an Annual Charter Status Health Check with the FA to keep us up to date with rule changes and health and wellbeing of all our members.
