Wow went here on 22nd Feb after seeing the Motown Story, on the recommendation of my son. We certainly were not disappointed. Wonderful place, atmosphere, service. I could not fault it. All the staff were so attentive, just an amazing experience....
We had a great evening at Berners Tavern last night, celebrating a friend's birthday. Staff were excellent (big thank you to Aoife for looking after us and laughing with us) which was matched by the food and all in a fabulous setting. The sommelier was very good however we did find the wine list a little pretentious - would be good to have more choice at the £40-50 end of the list! Will definitely be back.
We booked for lunch yesterday to celebrate my daughters birthday. What an amazing place. Excellent service, stunning decor and delicious food. Would definitely recommend this establishment 100% .
Was here yesterday for a quick bite and was amazed by the magnificent decor of the restaurant. We had an amazing experience there as Gabriel was very helpful with picking and choosing what we should order. I found the flavour combinations creative and on point, particularly for the burratta on focaccia bread. Delicious!!! I really have nothing to complain eating here other than I should have walked in a lot more hungrier to try more of the dishes.
Was a wonderful lunch great wines staff were very good there when needed. Beef Wellington perfect just a lovely long lunch on a London winter days and the room was amazing
Such an amazing atmosphere, pictures really don’t do it justice. The staff all work together to allow your dining experience to be as seamless as possible. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining in. The Mac n Cheese is to die for! As is the flaming baked Alaska. Definitely a restaurant that impresses as soon as you step in.
Simply the best staff and service of any restaurant I have been to in ages. The food was pretty good too.
I went to lunch here today with 2 old school friends. We have known each other since we were about 10 in 1970s. Lovely lunch but the best bit was the staff acknowledging our reunion with champagne and photos. I particularly loved the celeriac and Stilton soup
Had a great time celebrating a birthday last night - dinner with drinks in the restaurant, followed by drinks in the lounge.
Food and service were all excellent.
It’s pricey but worth it for the quality and the venue; such a gorgeous interior.
Great time Saturday afternoon. Don’t be put off by the moaners on here, they’re probably just out for a freebie. I feel it’s very reasonably priced, do not expect Michelin star standards & food, however both are of a really good standard..... enjoy, but please don’t expect the earth!!!
Great cocktails and engaging and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful place to stop for a cocktail (oh and the food is great too!)
Fantastic place...amazing venue, gorgeous food(mac & cheese) brilliant service and the best music haven't heard Kid Creole for a while! we will be back
Amazing service. Incredible food and a terrific staff. This truly was the favorite dining experience of our entire trip. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Amazing meal and drinks here last night. Fab service, great atmosphere and lovely time had by all.
Delicious cod fish and lovely salad, which presented a Michelin level👍
Service was right on the spot, definitely will come back😊
The place is great and the experience is very good shame that the service let it down - they forgot to put the toast under the "avocado toast", had to wait 10 mins for them to bring toast, then it came burnt, then they charged us for extra toast when it was missing in the 1st place - then a hair in the avocado - apart from that was great 👍
The Cheval Des Andes 2013 was exceptional. The food — crab on toast and chicken schnitzel — were exceedingly average. Service passable. My third indifferent experience at Berners Tavern. It shouldn’t need a £159 bottle of Argentinian wine to pull the rating up to a 3 out of 5... but the food was dry and tasteless but for the capers dressing...
Amazing place, great drinks but the Mc and cheese is really out of place!! Food is tasty but I expected better and disges are pricy.
such a shame had been looking forward to coming here for such a long time, terrible slow service, unbelievably rude waitress, overcooked fish, main courses were cold, zero options for vegans even though we'd phoned to request weeks in advance. lucky we'd also been to duck and waffle and the clove club on the days before for a delicious gastronomic treat as it's very hard to believe this place has a Michelin star.
