About Betty Bluebell

Designer of stylish, creative and modern wedding flowers.

Betty Bluebell Description

I’m Emma of Betty Bluebell; Betty was my gran and is my middle namesake. I work alongside Ted, my small and fluffy Business Development Dog. He specialises in snuggles.

I love weddings and have been involved in making big days happen in some capacity for the last 9 years. I have a background in hospitality and event management before I trained as a florist and I still occasionally dip back into front of house management at weddings. My workspace is in Cambuslang but I work Scotland wide and in 2017 I'm booked for weddings in Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen.

Consultations by appointment only, please get in touch for availability.

Mums are special and deserve special flowers. 💕

Congratulations to Carlyn and Scott married at Arta Glasgow.
Carlyn asked for a big, wild and messy bunch of autumn with lots of foliage and that's just what she got! :D I loved the colour combination of red, burgundy, blush, rose gold and gold. Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet and Carlyn wore a comb to match in her hair. The ladies wore wrist corsages with mixed, gathered buttonholes for Scott and the gents to tie in with the colours in the bouquets.
...We added ivy to Arta's candelabras and filled gin bottles with flowers and foliage for their table names. Happyhills Cakes did it again with another spectacular dog cake of Pepper!
Loved playing my part in their stylish wedding. Congratulations to you both!

Congratulations to Kirsty and Chris married at The Waterside.
Kirsty was a dream to work with and left her flowers completely up to me, requesting every flower of the rainbow including thistles and a yellow rose in her bouquet. I had great fun mixing different textures to create her dream wedding flowers! Her bridesmaids and flower girl carried smaller versions of her bouquet with thistle buttonholes for the gents and blush pink corsages for the ladies. A wreath ring matching... the bouquets with a hurricane vase decorated the signing table.
I hope the day was everything you wished for and more!

Congratulations to Jennifer and Adam married at The Corinthian Club.
Jennifer carried an oh so pretty posy of lilac, ivory and blush pink roses with thistles, berries and a sprinkling of gyp. Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet, her sister wore a matching flower crown and the others a sprig of gyp in their hair. The gents wore mixed gathered buttonholes to match the bouquets and the mums corsages to match their outfits. We added gyp pew ends to the chiavar...i chairs for the ceremony.
How to make pastels seasonal - loved making these! I hope you had a fabulous time.

Congratulations to Claire and James married at Trades Hall.
Claire chose a yummy palate of burgundy, plum and ivory with thistles and a sprinkling of gyp to contrast against her bridesmaid's aubergine dresses. They carried smaller versions of her bouquet with burgundy rose and thistle buttonholes for the gents.
A long and low to match the bouquets decorated the signing and top table and we added a lush 18ft garland to the top of the stairs with pops of flower to tie it all t...ogether.
Loved working with this pair and can't wait to see some of the official snaps by Del & Jayjay Wedding Photography. I hope you all had a blast!

Congratulations to Lucy and Calum married at the wonderful The Auditorium at Òran Mór - Weddings, Corporate & Private Events.
I'd been looking forward getting my teeth into Lucy's colour scheme of plum with some pops of dusky purple, soft blush and white. Anemones are back and I thought their dark centres would tie in beautifully! Her bridesmaids carried smaller contrasting versions of her bouquet with rose and thistle buttonholes for the gents.
Oran Mor's candelabras were ...decorated with wreath rings to match the bouquets and the signing table was decorated with a 4ft floral runner. An extra section was added to make it 6ft for the centre top table. The aisle was lined with jars and candles and Dominique from Big Bear Bakery finished their buttercream cake with flowers to tie in.
Loved it, loved it, loved it! I hope you all had a fantastic day.
Tag teaming with Under the Pear Tree once again. Shout outs to AMM Hair and Make Up Team and Stephen Kyle.

My final wedding of the weekend was for lovely Chloe and Jason at The Busby Hotel.
Chloe carried a hand tied bouquet in pretty pastels with hydrangea, roses, delphinium, lisianthus, thistles, veronica and lavender. Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet to pop against their dusky lilac dresses. Her flower girl carried a pomander and wore a flower crown to match. Jason wore a rose and thistle buttonhole with thistles and spray roses for the rest of the bridal ...party and their page boy.
I added roses, thistles, lavender and ivy to the candelabras at the hotel for the guest tables and their signing and top table was decorated with a 4ft floral runner. Their buttercream cake was decorated with a mix of flowers to tie in.
I hope you had a brilliant day!

Congratulations to Amie and Stuart married at Lochside House Hotel, Lodges and Spa.
Amie carried a seasonal posy in ivory, blush and vintage pink tones with touches of foliage - the mix of roses is always so yummy! Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet with rose and thistle buttonholes for the gents. Amie's mum wore a wrist corsage and her gran a lapel corsage to tie in with her colours. Holly and Stuart's miniature dachshund Holly wore the sweetest little ...flower crown you'll ever see!
The signing and top table was decorated with a long and low arrangement and the guest tables with silver candelabras hired from my workspace buds Bespoke Touches - Wedding & Event venue decorators and wreath rings to match the bouquets. Their gorgeous cake was by the wonderful Claire Cameron Cakes.
I'm so glad you loved everything and wish you both all the best for the future!

Congratulations to Emma and Paul married at The Barn at Dalduff Farm. They were my first booking for this year when I opened my diary so we've been waiting a while for this one and a Dalduff wedding is always a cracker!
Emma carried a hand tied bouquet in pastel pinks and purples with gyp and leafy greens. Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet with posies of gyp and foliage for their flower girls. Emma wore a half crown to match her bouquet and the young one...s gyp crowns to match theirs. The gents wore mixed gathered bouts to tie in with the bridal flowers.
The ceremony barn was decorated with two milk churns at the entrance, trailing ivy down the ledges and mini buckets of gyp and foliage to line the aisle. A ribbon curtain finished with foliage and gyp hung front and centre.
The reception barn was decorated with more mini buckets of gyp, foliage and pops of flower to match the bouquets. The top table was adorned with a lush foliage and gyp garland and a 4ft installation hung behind.
Another #teamworkmakesthedreamwork effort with Under the Pear Tree. Thank you so much Emma and Paul for having us bring your vision to life! I hope it was everything you dreamed of and more.

This weekend marks the 250th Betty Bluebell wedding. How mad is that?! The last 3.75 years have been a hell of a journey which has allowed me to meet and work with some truly incredible people.
This year has seen me find a true wing woman in Cath from Under the Pear Tree too and we've been working regularly together all season. Many of my brides from this year will have met Cath, she totally gets my style of working and I'm so grateful to have her.
Party on team!

Back to it on Wednesday 3rd October! 👋🏼

And last but no means least, congratulations to Laura and Graeme married at WEST On The Green!
I got super excited with Laura's brief - she carried a natural shower bouquet of aaaaaaall of the autumn and wore a coordinating comb in her hair. Her flower girls wore coordinating flower crowns and Lisa from The Little Cake Parlour Glasgow decorated their semi-naked cake with fresh blooms.
I hope you had a brilliant time!

Another September weekend cracker at Pollokshields Burgh Hall for Vicky and Billy.
Vicky carried a loose and textured hand tied bouquet in pinks and corals with pops of ochre including probably my last Scottish Cut Flowers of the year! Her four bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet with a wand for their little girl Ruby. The gents wore gathered foliage buttonholes adding an ochre rose for the groom. Vicky wore an asymmetric floral crown with focal flower detail ...on one side and Ruby wore a delicate crown to match the bouquets.
The signing table and ledge were decorated with garlands later moved to the top table. The guest tables were lined with an abundance of bottles and vessels filled with flowers and foliage to match the bouquets. Finally their pallet table plan was decorated with buckets of blooms.
I can't wait to see it captured by Nikki Leadbetter Photography and Sugar8 Wedding Films. Shout outs also to the team at Anyas Catering Ltd for all of your help as always and Blush Beauty.
I hope you had a cracking day!

An absolute belter at The Waterside with a dream team of suppliers for Holly and Kerr.
Holly carried an oversized, wide hand tied bouquet in hot pink, raspberry, coral, peach and white including some beaut hydrangea and wore a half crown at the back of her hair. Her two bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet with a wand for her flower girl. The gents wore gathered style bouts to match the bouquets with pin corsages for the mums.
The venue decor was BANGIN'! Our ...first time decorating the light in the ceremony space with garlanding along the fireplace later moved to the top table. The signing table was decorated with a long and low and the guest tables with trios of cylinder vases, candles and mixed foliage garlands. Finally we added a garland with pops of flowers to the welcome sign.
Harper Scott Photo has already shared her beaut sneak peek of the cracking pair and lists the full squad including Flossy and Dossy, Claire the Humanist and The Bygone Photobooth Company.
Congratulations you two and thank you for having me along for the ride! Thanks as always wing woman Cath Under the Pear Tree.

A flower crown for the birthday girl. 🎉

User

Working with Emma for my wedding flowers was the easiest thing about planning my wedding. After seeing her flowers and ordering a couple of bouquets in the past I trusted her completely to make the perfect bouquets, buttonholes and car displays for my wedding. The only information I needed to give Emma was that I wanted thistles, daisies and some of the foliage I saw in one of her previous images and what I got on my wedding day was absolutely beautiful! I received so many compliments on my flowers and our Grandmothers loved their thank you bouquets. Thank you so much, Claire & Peter x

User

Where do I begin? Emma you are just phenomenal! You took my thoughts and ideas and made them into the most beautiful bouquets and garlands I have ever seen apart from being incredibly talented you are the nicest person to work with, i will recommend you to everyone for ever more! THANK YOU

User

We were recommended Emma for our recent wedding and after meeting with her she was lovely and we had to book her! Emma was wonderful to work with and had such great ideas for our flowers keeping my colours and budget in mind. Emma provided my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquet, buttonholes, corsages, bouquets for the mums, 10 centrepieces, ceremony flowers and a floral archway. The flowers turned out so beautifully and so many people complimented them on our wedding day and they look so great in all the photos. Emma brought me my flowers in person before the wedding ceremony and the following day returned to the venue in the morning to collect vases and came in to speak with us. I can honestly say she was lovely to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding.

Thank you so much for your hard work Emma! Lj and Scott xxx

There are no words to describe the sheer beauty of Emma’s work. Not only is she an absolute delight to work with - she understood exactly what we were looking for and worked her magic to bring it to life - but she is also a very lovely human being to boot. Not surprising she is booked up already for the year ahead, she is outstanding!

User

The best florist ever!!

Emma is so so helpful and ensures you are extremely happy with all that she creates. I am lucky enough to have worked with Emma on many occasions and have never been disappointed with any of her work.

I Would highly recommend!!

Unfortunately, I can’t leave more than a 5* review!!

User

Just WOW! Our flowers were absolutely stunning. I knew I was in safe hands when I booked with Emma and I was blown away when I saw them for the first time. She is very talented and passionate about what she does. Cannot recommend highly enough!

User

I can’t recommend Emma enough! She exceeded my expectations on our wedding day and I’ll never forget walking into the venue and being utterly gobsmacked at the beautiful transformation she created She was a delight to work with and is such a talented girl who genuinely loves what she does! Thank you so much Emma xxx

User

I cannot recommend Emma enough. She is such a talented florist and it shows in all of her work. Emma designed a wreath made from natural materials that my partner and I laid on a Loch in memory of my mother in law. It was truly stunning. Thank you Emma x

User

I can't even begin to say how utterly amazing the flowers for my wedding were, all thanks to Emma at Betty Bluebell. Every single bloom was so beautiful & perfect & my bouquet was the most stunning flowers I have ever seen! Emma completely understood my style & what I wanted for the day.

Not only did Emma create the most gorgeous pieces she also had to contend with 30 degree weather! You would never have known it was even warm the flowers were in such fantastic condition.

Aside from the usual request of bouquets, button holes, center pieces - which were all so gorgeous! We had also asked Emma if she would create a floral collar for our french bulldog and wow it was soooooooooo brilliant, our doggy was transformed into the dog of honour!

Thank you Emma for all your hard work & for making our wedding flowers the most perfect flowers we could have ever wished for! xxx

User

Emma’s work is absolutely amazing my flowers were exactly what I wanted, I was over the moon with them! All my guests commented on how wonderful they looked. Emma is also lovely to work with and her big smile on my wedding day and kind well wishes meant a lot.

User

Emma! Oh my days the lovely comments we've had about the flowers on the day and my bouquet I can't even list them all.

Absolutely beautiful, stunning, perfect!

Thank you so much for all the detail and effort you put in to the button holes, jars, long and lows, bridesmaids...the lot!

Emma is a floral genius and the most amazing person! She did the flowers for our wedding two weeks ago and they completely surpassed expectation! All of the flowers were so beautiful and were exactly the style I imagined! I had so many compliments about them! My bouquet was an absolute showstopper and my half floral crown was my favourite part of my outfit ! My Mum sent me a photo yesterday of the remaining flowers. More than two weeks later some of the venue flowers are still hanging on in there!

Emma is honestly the loveliest, most friendly person (with the most super cute dog) who really goes above and beyond for her clients. From our first meeting I felt relaxed with Emma and I just knew she completely understood the style I was looking for! I could completely trust she was going to create something incredible!! I'm only sad I won't get to speak to Emma as often now the weddings over! Thanks again Emma for all of your hard work and for being so amazing !

User

Emma did the flowers for our wedding on 7/4/18 and they were absolutely perfect. Neither of us know much about flowers however with Emma’s guidance, everything ended up being beautiful! We will definitely use again and can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you! Claire and Dan

User

Emma did the flowers for our daughter’s wedding and they were simply perfect. She made all Evelyn’s ideas a reality - and came up with a few of her own! She is also a lovely lady and I am sure I will use her in the future as her MOTB and MOTG bouquets were fabulous too! Thanks Emma (and wing woman)! X

User

Emma did our wedding flowers last month, and right from the very first meeting before things were even booked, the service she provided was absolutely brilliant. Our flowers were perfect, and so many of our guests commented on them. As someone who doesn't know a great deal about flowers, Emma took my very inarticulate ideas and came up with bouquets, buttonholes, centre pieces and thank you bouquets that were better than we could ever have imagined. Perfect! Thank you!xx

User

User

Emma (Betty Bluebell) did flowers for our wedding last Saturday (17th March) and we could not have been happier. She did a shower bouquet for me and matching posies for the three bridesmaid's plus buttonholes for the groomsmen, corsages for our Mums and a few matching bouquets for the venue. We picked the flowers up on the Friday and they were perfectly packaged in a way that made it easy for us to keep them fresh and beautiful for Saturday. The flowers are still going strong now 5 days later! Emma was a pleasure to deal with, her prices were very reasonable and the service and quality was exceptional. I would definitely recommend Betty Bluebell for any wedding or special occassion. Thank you so much Emma! xx

User

Betty BlueBell (Emma) was recommended by our amazing photographer Rachel McNeil Photography and I’m so glad I went with it. My flowers were absolutely stunning!! My bouquet was a mix of thistles and white roses as I’m Scottish with and English hubby. I had an idea of what I thought this would look like but I was completely blown away with the finished product - absolute perfection. Thank you so much for being part of my dream wedding x
