We're sad to hear that Tab Hunter, Hollywood heartthrob and star of John Waters' Polyester, has passed away.
We were privileged to have him attend #BFIFlare in 2015 for Tab Hunter Confidential.

The Sound of Music is set to serenade BFI Southbank tomorrow and what better way to commemorate the occasion than with 10 of the best musicals from the 1960s.

Out of Iraq is an amazing documentary. Where can I get a digital.copy for future viewing?

I was honoured to screen our film at this festival. The staff, the programming, the films, the industry learning opportunities make it simply the best festival out there.

User

I truly enjoyed the festival, I loved going there years ago and to be rekindled with the friends who have become family to me it is a blessing and to see LGBT films was the best of it all, I am honored to be part of this wonderful group of like minded individuals.

Furthermore, going back has made me wanting to renew my membership.

I have been to the BFI Flare for years and absolutely love the quality and the selection of films screened every year and the vibe there. It'a an amazing place to be with friends and you get to some some very inspirational films.

I had a great time at BFI Flare last year. Fantastic selection of films (the highlight being front row centre for Barbarella ). I love the library talks too on discussions of a diverse range of topics. Particularly the talks you've had on Pride, LGSM and the things held in the LAGNA archives, and the LAGNA archive talk last year too. The programme is always so diverse, and last year I saw films from all over the world dealing with all different aspects of sexuality. I really enjoyed the Surprising Ancestors: Cinema's Forgotten Queers lecture too. I can't make it this year but I can't wait to attend next year! The team behind BFI Flare put in so much work and it makes for a great festival every year.

A fantastic selection of screenings, club nights and events in a rather cool riverside venue. A great time to catch up with friends too! We love this festival, been attending for years!

User

Only managed to get to four films this year, mainly down to sell outs and frustrating scheduling meaning couldn't arrive before work. Great films though!
