It was my first visit since the refurbishment and I have to say it looks amazing, the choice of beers at the new bar is excellent, Beavertown was my choice last night, the lighted corridor to the loos was a bit different but the experience overall was great, Laurence Jones was brilliant btw!!!
First time in Borderline last night. Recent refit made it completely wheelchair friendly (not sure about the lights going to bathroom, but everything else was great!), and the staff were amazing. Events manager was lovely, friendly, respectful, and very helpful without being patronising.
Sound was brilliant, crowd was a bit thin due to weather (unfortunate, but couldn’t be helped), and excellent beer on tap. No barrier at the stage, so no matter where you sit, you’re not impeded.
Highly recommend!
Just arrived here. It was closed and they took the piss out of me and my friends. We ordered drinks. And they kept making fun of us. I am finishing my drink and I am not coming back. Tks.
Since the refurb last year this place has gone down the hill. The staff are very UNFRIENDLY. I was refused the sale of energy drink, which is non alcoholic so they had no grounds to do that. The reason from the bartender was that, I quote, my friend was "too spaced out". Btw she was drinking water at the time. The cloakroom was also closed that night due to employee not turning up to their shift. I gave this place plenty of chances and now feel reluctant to ever return. Which is a shame, as this place USED TO have a great spirit.
