We are a third generation family-run fabric business established in 1932.
Borovick Fabrics Description
Borovick Fabrics Ltd is one of the oldest businesses in Soho which is still in the same family’s hands.
We have been in this very competitive business for over 80 years by carrying one of the most diverse selections of fabrics and because of our friendly and helpful staff. Over this time, we have built up an extensive range of fabrics which enables us to serve our diverse clientele.
We supply a large range of bridal /evening wear fabrics, theatrical fabrics, fashion fabrics, dancewear fabrics, and an exclusive range of interior and furnishing fabrics.
We have even been described by the Evening Standard magazine as “the best materials shop” in London.
Many famous names in the world of fashion, theatre and film design have passed through our doorway, including many of whom have received international acclaim and awards such as Baftas, Emmys, Tonys, and Oscars. We have long-standing relationships with many of this clientele. This is only achieved by our personal and sincere understanding of their requirements.
Borovick’s has often been regarded as THE meeting place, not only for our very theatrical clientele but also our general retail clientele.
Many of our customers have been coming for the last four decades. We have had the pleasure of serving third-generation brides, who have come to our premises with their mothers and grandmothers who had also bought their own wedding fabrics from us.
In our opinion, the buying of fabric is a sensory and very tactile experience so we would recommend a visit to our premises.
If you cannot get to Borovick’s, we offer a mail order service enabling us to send swatches in response to your individual requirements, wherever you are in the world.

Visited this shop yesterday and found it to be the best of the fabrics shops in Berwick Street for my needs. Nothing was too much for Paul who took down lots of bolts for me to see, gave me samples, without being asked and was just generally friendly.
The choice is enormous here and I came away with what I wanted.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, with a great range of fabrics and a welth of knowledge. My mother and I were down from lincolnshire looking for silks for a mother of the groom dress. The gentlemen who served us, listened, advised and made us laugh. Would definitely go back.
The country need more fabric shops like this! The guys know their stuff which is a rarity it seems. Best customer service I've experienced. I shall be back for more.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Always willing to give advice and help with fabric related questions even if you're not buying. I've been shopping here for around 20 years.
I buy my velvets from here because they have lots of variety and they're amazing quality. The staff are lovely and its a 3rd generation family business in the heart of Soho, and I like to support businesses like that. Pay them a visit- you won't be disappointed!
