About Boycott Farm Shop

A beautiful farm shop, butchery & tea room located in our stunning 17 century barn. Homemade cakes & ready meals, home reared meat & fresh free range eggs!

Boycott Farm Shop Description

Boycott farm shop is situated in the middle of beautiful North Buckinghamshire countryside, close to the National Trust Estate at Stowe.

Our wonderful 17c barn was sensitively restored and converted in 2008, and is now home to our popular Farm Shop, Butchery and The Hayloft Restaurant and Tearoom

It has belonged to our family, the Hilsdon's, for 3 generations and has a great family farming heritage. The family work on the farm and in the farm shop & butchery, along with our fabulous staff.

We produce homemade cakes, pastries, ready meals, chutneys & jams, and lots of delicious food for you to enjoy.

Our butchery is run by Philip Hilsdon and sells our own home-reared Aberdeen Angus Beef as well as local free range lamb, pork and chicken. Make sure you try some of our award winning sausages!

Lovely building. Had coffee and cakes with family. Large selection of cakes and nice coffee. Bought some lovely garlic bread from the shop too. Would highly recommend.

User

Love the butcher there - always first class meats, always willing to advise and discuss whats on offer and yesterday I even got a lesson in de-boning a lamb leg. Prices usually as good or better than a supermarket just ices the cake.

I would like to thank everyone at Boycott Farm Shop for catering and hosting my 30th birthday on Sunday comprising of 30 guests. Even though the shop and cafe was busy the staff were very attentive and always available to help. The food on offer was exceptional as always with a selection of cold meats, with sliced beef a favourite of my guests, the Pasta and green salads were far from the plain salads you get elsewhere with the prawn salad being my favourite. Finished off with 2 fantastic roulades, chocolate and strawberry along with my favourite red velvet cake. My guests all went home very happy and so did I.

User

Had a delicious lunch followed by a visit with the Chickens, and stroll threw their food shop. Thank you for your warm welcome and continued amazing service throughout our visit. I can't wait to go back!!!!

Boycott Farm is our favourite stop for all things healthy food and dining. Home grown, homemade and locally sourced means the food is always fresh, always tasty and always good for you. Richard and his team are so friendly, accommodating and helpful and ready to answer any questions and make suggestions. It's like going to a friends for lunch/coffee. For take-home dining- Rob and Liz in the kitchen are just amazing and their menus and shop items so well chosen and properly sourced from their and local farms. Last weekend Cooking for 10 was made so easy- we took our own dishes and Rob did the rest. Worth a visit and even a longer a drive to experience. #luckytolivenear. THANKS #TeamBoycott, you guys rock

After meeting a friend for breakfast here, I purchased a steak on a bit of whim, as in my usual unorganised fashion had not got anything organised for supper.

I'm a beef farmers daughter and have had my fair share of steaks over the years.

This was hands down the best steak I've had in many many years! The cut escapes me possibly sirloin but it was absolutely packed with flavour, it was very well hung... (I have an issue with cheap supermarket steak that pours with blood when cooked) and even the man of the house commented on it .... praise indeed!

I'll be back again, possibly leaving with many more goodies than originally intended but it's just all so tasty.

And the breakfast was delicious. That black pudding is to die for .... just don't tell Linda at slimming club !

User

A little out of the way but amazing thanks Samantha for finding the place, lucky our black car is not quite as low...

Great food and with staff that are so helpful even if you want something a little different like mixing their menu.

Coupled with a great farm shop with it's own onsite butcher, we will certainly be returning to this gem of a place.

User

''Tis off the beaten track and probably not the place to go in a very low purple race car... but absolutely worth every scrape! Can't wait to go again, the restaurant was lovely, food amazing.. and filling! Our waitress was lovely and the shop has every temptation and treat you could dream of! Thank you

User

We visited on our way back from Stowe just popped in for a drink Daniel served us he was very attentive and polite Café is welcoming loved the fairy lights.Saw a helpful lady and purchased sausages and gluten free cake will definitely return if we enjoy the sausages

User

Had a really nice lunch here, the only criticism I had was the price of a glass of squash for our daughter. We felt it was a bit steep, compared to the rest of the meals. Quality wise the food was brilliant, couldn't be faulted.

User

Very disappointed! We purchased a number of things on Saturday afternoon. Bacon costing around £13. I opened it on Sunday morning, and it was clearly past it’s ‘best before’ date. It will be going in the bin. Two packs of snacks, we later realised they were on the ‘sell by’ date and the quality was poor - both in the bin.

The shop looked lovely and it encouraged us to spend around £35 in total. Needless to say we won’t be back. If *1 didn’t say ‘I hated it’, I would have given one star. I hope this was just a bad day.

User

I went here today to meet a friend for a long overdue catch up. We were served by two women who really didn’t want to be there, and it showed. A frosty reception from them with a ‘why are you wasting our time’ attitude. We were treated badly and spoken to rudely when paying all in front of my young son which took away from our meet up. It’s a shame as the people who first greeted us were so nice and the food was lovely too.
