Would like to say a massive thank you to the freeport bus driver who stopped at the pets at home end of the road, so my mum and I could take our cat to the vet easier, as a disabled person not having to walk that extra distance or cross the road was a big help and meant I wasn't exhausted by the time we got there. Lovely, helpful man.

User

We shop here a lot! But today we was surprised by ladies who worked at Freeport who was doing a random act of kindness and paid for our sons Easter eggs in Thornton’s. we really wasn’t expecting it and we are ever so grateful and happy! Thank you so much

User

Visited Freeport for the first time yesterday. Great selection of shops. My husband very pleased with his purchase at Skeckers; and the helpful advice given by their staff. I found bargains at Asics & Adidas. Brilliant service at the Wonderbra shop. Like the layout, very similar to the Clarks Outlet Village at Street in Somerset. Bonus was the number of places to eat. Plenty of parking with clear signs advising free for six hours and to get validation if you require longer. So I am amazed that other customers were surprised at getting a £100 fine with all the warnings. Will definitely return.

User

My family and I have enjoyed a great time at Braintree Freeport today!! The cute little animals to see and free face painting made my little boy soo happy!! We got there early as the event was free. So a bit of queuing is to be expected, but the weather was lovely and there was plenty to do. Double bonus I got to have some me time and shop!! By the way I love the new makeup shop!! Well done Freeport on another free family day!!

User

Live near. Great shops, however too many empty units need filling up!!

User

A regular visit for us whether its for coffee and cake or a full on shopping spree, everything we need is right here including some great places to stop for lunch

User

Had a lovely time shopping with my kids here today for school bits, was nice to have friendly helpful shop assistants.

Shame my experience was marred by some lovely person in your car park having scratched my passenger side of the car from the front light to the rear wheel panel.

Will never park my car here again and probably think twice about coming back.

User

Lost count of the number of times we've been here, but on 29th December we decided to do some shopping, have lunch and then take the kids to see the new Star Wars movie.

6 hours parking limit - that should be fine, but read we could let the information office know if we might need more. When we went past the office, there was no one there, so thought, we'll be fine, 6 hours is a long time.

My own fault for sure, but £100 for a 29 minute overstay (£60 if paid within 14 days), when we spent best part of £600 at Freeport....sorry, but that's unreasonable.

So, if you're thinking of going to Freeport and maybe planning to have a bite to eat, and possibly cinema after - you know, a family day out type thing - I'd recommend going somewhere, anywhere, but Feeeport Braintree.

User

Have visited a few times, this time sadly was not the best,a lot of the shops were a mess couldn't be bothered with the rummaging it's not that hard to put stuff in size order, surely. Not much selection in what I could see sizes 8 or 20 you'll be fine!

On a plus the Wildwood cafe was very pleasant!

User

We visited the outlet yesterday, arriving at 10.15am leaving approx 7&a half hrs later.

Because we spent over the 6hrs allowed I went to the information centre as advised on your signs.....only to find a notice saying they had closed early!!

Exactly how was I to have my number plate authorised for extended time!!! Not happy. Doubt we will return as this wasn’t the first time the information centre have closed early.

User

We visited Freeport a few times a couple of years back, and quite liked it at the time. However, this time we found that most of the shops seemed to be selling low-grade seconds and cheap rubbish at near high-street prices. A lot of the "designer" shops seemed to be little more than disorganised jumble sales with cheap goods bought in to fill the rails. We were far better off going to our local TKmax and Dunelm Mill. The shops and quality of goods has really gone downhill. We won't bother wasting time and fuel visiting here again.

User

Truly disappointed in BBs cafe, rude unhelpful staff when I asked then to take cheese out of a pre-made roll for my diary intolerant daughter, they couldn't do it nor could they make her a fresh one, final and only option from them was to take the cheese out of an onion pre made roll, I asked if they'd eat an onion roll, no they wouldn't but it's ok to serve it to a child

User

Took my son shopping for a few outfits to celebrate his 21st Birthday, finished off with a meal.

Following week receive a PARKING FINE for staying 26 mins over the allocated time. £100 !!!

Well Freeport you have lost my custom, never again will I visit a outlet that aims to maximise profits by issuing parking fines for shopping at its establishment.

User

Recently went for a day out at Braintree Freeport, enjoyed bowling, lunch, shopping and cinema. Just received a £60 parking notice for overstaying 6 hrs. Beware anyone considering visiting Braintree Freeport.

Totally ruined the experience.

User

Originally I would have rated Freeport so much higher however having spent a considerable amount of money in both the shops and restaurant plus a visit to the cinema I am shocked that my father received a demand through the post for a parking penalty. We were there for six hours 50 minutes when apparently the limit is 6 hours. He was threatened with £100 fine or £60 if paid immediately which he did without question as a demand like this at his age was rather shocking. This considerably outweighs any saving we made by coming here in the first place. At no time did any of us 4 adults spot a sign saying maximum 6 hours as you don't purchase a ticket or we would have left within the limit. Having checked your website there is no clear note to advise of this time limit which I think should be with your opening hours so other innocent shoppers do not get caught out. My father walks with a stick and we had two young children in tow so were in no position to rush round but still enjoy a leisurely lunch and cinema trip and be out within 6 hours. Think we will stick to the likes of Lakeside Thurrock in the future where they are happy for you to spend the whole day at their centre if you are spending money and shall recommend the same to family and friends. Very disappointed and rather angry.

User

Just got a parking fine of £100 for parking for 6hrs 30mins, after spending lots of money in your shops, dinner at pizza express and then watching a film. So basically you have gunned me for spring time at your facilities. Absolutely ridiculous and I bet you are making a fortune out of all the people you are fining

User

It’s really nice that we had a lovely day at Freeport two weeks ago to then be met with a £100 parking fine today, considering we shopped in the outlets and then used the restaurants after, do you not think this should be a lot clearer sign posted. Same thing happened to my friends that went on the same day too. Not sure we’ll be returning after this.

User

I spent a lovely day out shopping with friends, catching up. We shopped, we had coffee, and we had dinner. And now I have received a £100 parking fine!! I will not be coming back to Freeport again. What a shame as I had said I was coming back with the kids to shop for school shoes and sports wear.

I lost my phone yesterday, and the customer service assistant was very unhelpful and rude. She was chatting away on her mobile and when i said: "Excuse me, i lost my phone, has anybody handed over an iPhone." While still on her mobile, she said "No. Nobody did." Then she got back to speaking on her mobile. I suggested to her that she takes my details in case somebody hands it in by the end of the day, she said "oh yeah". After I told her all my details, she got back to speaking on her mobile phone. No empathy whatsoever. And to think, I am a customer, very stressed as I lost all my important stuff that's all in my phone including photos with sentiments. Then this is what I get.
