Please see our timetable for the Christmas and New Year period. As all of the children's centres in Barnet are closed for at least 2 weeks, we will be running a reduced service. We have on offer the most we can, but if you need support, the wonderful National Breastfeeding Helpline are there for you 9.30am ‚Äď 9.30pm every day of the year! (including Christmas Day & Bank holidays!) on: 0300 100 0212. We will also still be available for phone support, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, except for the bank holidays. So do call someone if you have any questions or need support, we are happy to help! :)

Please note, there is no group at Newstead Children's Centre today as they are closed for the holidays. You are welcome to go along to Parkfield Children & Family Centre where trained centre staff will be able to offer breastfeeding support. You can drop in anytime 1.30 - 3.30pm, or give the centre a call to book a time to come and see someone today, or at any point this week: 020 8359 3590

So helpful and friendly - thank you. An amazing service

Many thanks to Cheryl for providing support when my son Noah was born. I breastfed my first son and had a very positive easy experience with him. But Noah had a very different start - low birth weight and delivered by emergency c section - so it wasn't easy! I felt a lot of pressure to get his weight up, was feeding/expressing around the clock and was exhausted. The home visit was incredibly useful and helped me see there was light at the end of the tunnel. Noah is 10 weeks now and small but perfectly healthy and happy. We do have a routine so he sleeps well day and night but I feed on demand/for comfort when needed, and my husband now gives him an expressed bottle most evenings to help him sleep longer at night.



So thank you again Cheryl for making me feel like I was doing a good job of feeding encouraging me to stick at it!

Friendly, professional and helpful. Ongoing support and advice offered for mums and their babies. This goes beyond simple help to breastfeed a new born. No question is too small or silly. The groups are a wonderful place for the babies to play and meet other little ones and a calm place for mums and dads to talk and get advice. I’ve made friends and am taking my baby every Thursday!
