Great food great staff shame some can't get barred and having met Barry tonight hope he is ok and tell him don't let the haters win we love Barry ( table 21) and we hope she didn't cry to much

Staying for 3 nights room and staff very good and helpful breakfast was good eat as much as you like but everything was run out nearly no yoghurts juice and milk run out nothing is stocked back up very quick but overall stay was good

Food came out fast although one of the children’s meals was wrong but they quickly changed it and it was back out within 5 mins, ordered desserts which also came out fast.

Meals were cheap, you get what you pay for! Would definitely go back.

The menu showed the Chilli with long grain rice. My meal came with stodgy whole grain rice. No check back from any of the staff about how our meal was. Very disappointed.

My disabled husband & I visited yesterday for Sunday lunch as could not get a disabled parking spot in Hanley. Tried Farmhouse Inns too but 25 mins wait for a table. We both had carvery at about 1.45 but no gammon until 3pm so only beef & Turkey. Husband said green beans were raw & the carrot & Swede mash was mushy but ok. Tomato soup was very watery too not sure why. Crusty roll with soup was hot & lovely. We did not have desert

Food was ok however the waistress’ daughter who was about 5 was following her round when she supposed to be working serving food. Very unprofessional and a Health and safety issue !

we prebooked for a party of 25. I was first to arrive and they couldn't find the booking. by the time the rest of the party arrived we were shown straight to a table. for any restaurant to fit in 18 people straightaway is basically impossible. The tables hadn't been cleared or cleaned. we ordered food. waited. when it finally arrived there was still no cutlery. the children started eating with their fingers. I asked for cutlery and 14 settings and serviettes were dumped unceremoniously on the table. we were treated more of an inconvenience than paying customers. Not once did anyone enquire if the food was satisfactory. I had chicken stack which was like chewing on leather. Overpriced and definitely not the standard it used to be. Had it not been my son's birthday and local to him, I would definitely had gone somewhere else.

Well it was very quite indeed at 1:30pm. There was 3 of us whom ordered food at 1:40.My partner ordered the 3 course festive menu and me and my son had a mixed grill and the new yorker.

At 2:20pm my partner had his prawn cocktail for starters.At 2:35 I asked a waitress whom didn't look with it where was our meals to which she said 5 minutes.Well its now 2:45pm after 1 hour wait and one prawn cocktail delivered to our table we asked again this time to the manager.Finally they arrived. Its gets worse.we asked the same waitress for some piri piri sauce,5 mins had passed she brought mayonnaise out, does piri piri sauce sound like mayonnaise??.

After asking 3 times I give up, so my partner said not having this,asked another waitress whom she said don't yell at me tell me your table number.I would no if my partner yelled, he only asked for a bit of sauce crikey!!..

When we finally left we'd been in over 2 hours I couldn't wait get out.

We've never had a problem in Hanley,we also noticed 2 waitresses going past tables that needed cleaning. There was an elderly cpl whom we saw had to go in the waitresses draw to get cultery as them to had been waiting for some service.

Shocking won't be going again,I wouldn't like be in there when you can't get a seat you might get your meal one day..ohh and if you order piri sauce ask for mayonaise 1st then you'll get the right sauce

My little one ordered sausage and mash, when it came the sausage was hardly recognisable it was so burnt. No one even came over to see if we needed anything or if the meals were ok. Definitely would not recommend this place If you like nice, hot, decent food.

Dont usually complain but ny friend whos pregnant got very mad and had to walk away. Waiting an hour for food. One of the childrens meals came out way before the rest, which left one child just sitting there. When the second children's meal did come it was wrong. So he had to wait longer. Salt and pepper shaker were covered in dried food-gross. Not good and we come here alot.

We orders food at 6:30 came at 7:25 absolutely disgusting ! Kids meal missing meatballs ! Mash potato was like thick porridge ! Chicken dry and burnt ! Onion rings fried to a crisp ! Asked for puddings three times after 25 mins walk out ! Disgusted and will not EVER be going back ! The only nice thing about the £40 spent was the Coleslaw !!!!! Avoid

We then ordered desert after 25 minutes I went to the bar to see if it was almost ready, I was told they were just making it now. 10 more minutes passed and still no desert so I went to ask again. I got no apology at all. The food then arrived 40 minutes after ordering, I think I could have gone in the kitchen and baked a whole cake in that amount of time. Don't think we will be returning in a hurry.

On arrival we were told that our table had been taken and that there had been a misunderstanding. We ended up split on 2 tables it was a big disappointment. Next some of us including myself ordered carvery with free soup there was not enough soup for all of us I found a member of staff and asked about the soup she said it would be taken care of I then had to ask for spoons to eat our soup and waited 10 minuets for a spoon.30 mins later the rest of our party were still waiting for soup I asked again and was told it would be sorted 15 mins later were told they had ran out of soup and was offered a starter as an alternative so we ordered liver patte cheese tarts for members who had no soup few mins later we were then told there was soup and order was taken another 10 mins manager came to us apologised there was no soup and again to order for an alternative starter another 10 mins we were told they were out of patte and cheese tart we were then offered a plate of nibbles and dips only 2 of the three turned up then others main courses arrived at the same time so we decided to forget the starter and go and get out carvery we then waited 10 mins for a member of staff to carve the meat as the station was unattended .

The whole experience was an absolute shambles we ended up split on 2 tables had no starters and were unable to even eat together spoiled our meal and very very disappointed and dissatisfied it was an absolute joke I wish now I had asked for a refund and gone elsewhere what kind of an eatery is this ??

It was a 1.2mile walk my child is 3 and 11mth old baby in pram.

We got their it said closed when we arrived.

So I rang, I was told they were open at 12.

It was 11.45 so I didn't mind waiting.

Another couple came with a young child but we waited still not open at 12.

A lady decided to go to another side door and see if she could find out what was happening.

Someone told her it would be at least another 45mins or more before they opened.

Nobody came to us.

We were just left outside.

My son was extremely upset.

The food when we arrived at 6pm was beyond good,in fact it was rank,first my friends mixed grill was,cold undercooked, sausages,burnt on outside,raw on inside,steak was tough,sent back,came. With a second mixed grill,to replace that one the gammon was undercooked,and cold,my friend then had smothered chicken,which was burnt underneath,one of my cousin's was given the wrong order first,when the right order,came her potatoes were cold,another of our table,had a curry,which was cold and the naan bread was hard and crispy,the two on our table,had the beef mushroom soup and cheese burger,both those burgers were overcooked on the outside tasted burnt,they seriously need to get your act sorted as the food was rank,we complained to the manager in charge tonight,to be told that the person doing the cooking was not qualified,what a piss take is that.

Portion size - rubbish. Little choice in meals. Kids food was cold. “Fizzy” drinks weren’t fizzy. Best thing about it was the kids could play. Won’t be coming back.

Oh my goodness... just arrived home... the manager of this place leaves a lot to be desired... rude doesn't even come close. Her attitude towards a customer was beyond appalling, she is clearly very rude in all other walks of life... plus the food was god awful and one of the meals was wrong. The fire alarm went off about an hour into our visit. Fair enough that this threw the kitchen into slight disarray but after two hours wait I simply asked the manager if there was anything she could do... to which she replied she couldn't give any free food, I never once asked for free food... the conversation went on as she didn't even offer a free drink, let alone a sincere apology. As she walked away I did say to my family that her attitude stunk and within seconds she was back at the table challenging my comment. I said that I have worked in customer service since I was 18 and before I had time to finish she congratulated me... as if... and then topped it off by saying that it was actually my attitude that stank � My email to head office has already been sent... 1 star is in actual fact far to good for this place. I feel sorry for the poor staff members that have to work under her guidance if she's able to give any... complete and utter epic fail!!!

The fire alarm went off about an hour into our visit. Fair enough that this threw the kitchen into slight disarray but after two hours wait I simply asked the manager if there was anything she could do... to which she replied she couldn't give any free food, I never once asked for free food... the conversation went on as she didn't even offer a free drink, let alone a sincere apology. As she walked away I did say to my family that her attitude stunk and within seconds she was back at the table challenging my comment. I said that I have worked in customer service since I was 18 and before I had time to finish she congratulated me... as if... and then topped it off by saying that it was actually my attitude that stank � My email to head office has already been sent... 1 star is in actual fact far to good for this place. I feel sorry for the poor staff members that have to work under her guidance if she's able to give any... complete and utter epic fail!!!

Most pathetic place I've ever had the misfortune to eat at... Food took over an hour to serve... Plates not cleared for 30 minutes after we finished.. Had to ask for dessert 3 times! Oh and the Carvery food left out to the flies for 3 hours after they finished serving! Do not come here... I won't again

I come here a lot with the children to play and eat. Sadly recently it has gone downhill and today I have turned up only for find it’s closed due to technical difficulties. It would be good if you updated your page to let people know. Not impressed at all

Great food great staff shame some can't get barred and having met Barry tonight hope he is ok and tell him don't let the haters win we love Barry ( table 21) and we hope she didn't cry to much

Staying for 3 nights room and staff very good and helpful breakfast was good eat as much as you like but everything was run out nearly no yoghurts juice and milk run out nothing is stocked back up very quick but overall stay was good

Food came out fast although one of the children’s meals was wrong but they quickly changed it and it was back out within 5 mins, ordered desserts which also came out fast.

Meals were cheap, you get what you pay for! Would definitely go back.

The menu showed the Chilli with long grain rice. My meal came with stodgy whole grain rice. No check back from any of the staff about how our meal was. Very disappointed.

My disabled husband & I visited yesterday for Sunday lunch as could not get a disabled parking spot in Hanley. Tried Farmhouse Inns too but 25 mins wait for a table. We both had carvery at about 1.45 but no gammon until 3pm so only beef & Turkey. Husband said green beans were raw & the carrot & Swede mash was mushy but ok. Tomato soup was very watery too not sure why. Crusty roll with soup was hot & lovely. We did not have desert

Food was ok however the waistress’ daughter who was about 5 was following her round when she supposed to be working serving food. Very unprofessional and a Health and safety issue !

we prebooked for a party of 25. I was first to arrive and they couldn't find the booking. by the time the rest of the party arrived we were shown straight to a table. for any restaurant to fit in 18 people straightaway is basically impossible. The tables hadn't been cleared or cleaned. we ordered food. waited. when it finally arrived there was still no cutlery. the children started eating with their fingers. I asked for cutlery and 14 settings and serviettes were dumped unceremoniously on the table. we were treated more of an inconvenience than paying customers. Not once did anyone enquire if the food was satisfactory. I had chicken stack which was like chewing on leather. Overpriced and definitely not the standard it used to be. Had it not been my son's birthday and local to him, I would definitely had gone somewhere else.

Well it was very quite indeed at 1:30pm. There was 3 of us whom ordered food at 1:40.My partner ordered the 3 course festive menu and me and my son had a mixed grill and the new yorker.

At 2:20pm my partner had his prawn cocktail for starters.At 2:35 I asked a waitress whom didn't look with it where was our meals to which she said 5 minutes.Well its now 2:45pm after 1 hour wait and one prawn cocktail delivered to our table we asked again this time to the manager.Finally they arrived. Its gets worse.we asked the same waitress for some piri piri sauce,5 mins had passed she brought mayonnaise out, does piri piri sauce sound like mayonnaise??.

After asking 3 times I give up, so my partner said not having this,asked another waitress whom she said don't yell at me tell me your table number.I would no if my partner yelled, he only asked for a bit of sauce crikey!!..

When we finally left we'd been in over 2 hours I couldn't wait get out.

We've never had a problem in Hanley,we also noticed 2 waitresses going past tables that needed cleaning. There was an elderly cpl whom we saw had to go in the waitresses draw to get cultery as them to had been waiting for some service.

Shocking won't be going again,I wouldn't like be in there when you can't get a seat you might get your meal one day..ohh and if you order piri sauce ask for mayonaise 1st then you'll get the right sauce

We went on Sunday it was very quiet, so we thought we wouldn't have to wait long, after ordering, we waited over 30 mins for the food to come and it left alot to be desired. The chips were barely warm, the fish was rock hard and dry, and tel he mushy peas were far from mushy. My little one ordered sausage and mash, when it came the sausage was hardly recognisable it was so burnt. No one even came over to see if we needed anything or if the meals were ok. Definitely would not recommend this place If you like nice, hot, decent food.

Myself, a friend 2 children here today. Firstly the bar woman was very rude to us, very blunt and shoved the receipts in my hand. Dont usually complain but ny friend whos pregnant got very mad and had to walk away. Waiting an hour for food. One of the childrens meals came out way before the rest, which left one child just sitting there. When the second children's meal did come it was wrong. So he had to wait longer. Salt and pepper shaker were covered in dried food-gross. Not good and we come here alot.

We orders food at 6:30 came at 7:25 absolutely disgusting ! Kids meal missing meatballs ! Mash potato was like thick porridge ! Chicken dry and burnt ! Onion rings fried to a crisp ! Asked for puddings three times after 25 mins walk out ! Disgusted and will not EVER be going back ! The only nice thing about the £40 spent was the Coleslaw !!!!! Avoid

We came here for a meal after going to the cinema in Newcastle. We ordered our food and waited half an hour for our main meals to arrive which was slightly annoying but we just let it slide. We then ordered desert after 25 minutes I went to the bar to see if it was almost ready, I was told they were just making it now. 10 more minutes passed and still no desert so I went to ask again. I got no apology at all. The food then arrived 40 minutes after ordering, I think I could have gone in the kitchen and baked a whole cake in that amount of time. Don't think we will be returning in a hurry.

We booked a table for a party of 15 for granddaughters birthday and 2 family's meeting for the first time. On arrival we were told that our table had been taken and that there had been a misunderstanding. We ended up split on 2 tables it was a big disappointment. Next some of us including myself ordered carvery with free soup there was not enough soup for all of us I found a member of staff and asked about the soup she said it would be taken care of I then had to ask for spoons to eat our soup and waited 10 minuets for a spoon.30 mins later the rest of our party were still waiting for soup I asked again and was told it would be sorted 15 mins later were told they had ran out of soup and was offered a starter as an alternative so we ordered liver patte cheese tarts for members who had no soup few mins later we were then told there was soup and order was taken another 10 mins manager came to us apologised there was no soup and again to order for an alternative starter another 10 mins we were told they were out of patte and cheese tart we were then offered a plate of nibbles and dips only 2 of the three turned up then others main courses arrived at the same time so we decided to forget the starter and go and get out carvery we then waited 10 mins for a member of staff to carve the meat as the station was unattended .

The whole experience was an absolute shambles we ended up split on 2 tables had no starters and were unable to even eat together spoiled our meal and very very disappointed and dissatisfied it was an absolute joke I wish now I had asked for a refund and gone elsewhere what kind of an eatery is this ??

Wanted to get my children out so decided to go here for the child's area and some lunch. it said online open.

It was a 1.2mile walk my child is 3 and 11mth old baby in pram.

We got their it said closed when we arrived.

So I rang, I was told they were open at 12.

It was 11.45 so I didn't mind waiting.

Another couple came with a young child but we waited still not open at 12.

A lady decided to go to another side door and see if she could find out what was happening.

Someone told her it would be at least another 45mins or more before they opened.

Nobody came to us.

We were just left outside.

My son was extremely upset.

The food when we arrived at 6pm was beyond good,in fact it was rank,first my friends mixed grill was,cold undercooked, sausages,burnt on outside,raw on inside,steak was tough,sent back,came. With a second mixed grill,to replace that one the gammon was undercooked,and cold,my friend then had smothered chicken,which was burnt underneath,one of my cousin's was given the wrong order first,when the right order,came her potatoes were cold,another of our table,had a curry,which was cold and the naan bread was hard and crispy,the two on our table,had the beef mushroom soup and cheese burger,both those burgers were overcooked on the outside tasted burnt,they seriously need to get your act sorted as the food was rank,we complained to the manager in charge tonight,to be told that the person doing the cooking was not qualified,what a piss take is that.

Portion size - rubbish. Little choice in meals. Kids food was cold. “Fizzy” drinks weren’t fizzy. Best thing about it was the kids could play. Won’t be coming back.
