Breakfast with Santa yesterday, was absolutely brilliant! Took our 3 Grand Children, who were very excited. We all had a great breakfast, children got stuck in with their cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits, toast, sausages etc and yet again FULL allergens catered for, ( one of the children has severe epi pen allergy & we are always looked after with this.) Santa comes out with his merry elf and the 2 of them made the children feel like royalty! Had so much time for them. Great job! Danni & Callum rushed off their feet but as usual, making every one in the restaurant feel welcomed & looked after.

There was plenty of food, juice & coffee available, and the children wanted for nothing!

I would like to congratulate Danni & Callum especially, as you can see just how their joint, seamless leadership creates such a brilliant welcoming, warm friendly environment to enjoy family meal times. We love eating out as a family here. The children love playing whilst the adults have a good catch up & upon every visit, you see the same great service happening right across the restaurant! Well Done Danni & Callum! You guys really are the backbone! Looking forward to our next visit already!

See you all again soon!

I went here Sunday 10th September 2017 with the wife and we met the doughter here anyway we had booked a table and we was shown to the table and the very polite Young man asked us if we had been here before as we hadn't he explained how we ordered food and drink. So far so good,

The doughter and I had starters. Doughter had Pate I had Baked breaded garlic mushrooms. Big thumbs up on both. Mains Doughter Curry, Wife 8 ounce rump, Me Haddock chips.

Curry was ok. Rump best she has ever had. Haddock very nice. Chips awful.

The place is very clean and as people left tables were cleaned straight away and resit.

My bill was £52 not bad for 2 starters 3 main 3 alcoholic drinks and as much lemonade has I could drink so all in all not that bad at all. And will go again

Took a while to get our starters and when we got the starter it was more bacon and loads of spring onion and only a tiny sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. As soon as our starter plate got taken it was immediately replaced with the main which I was quite impressed by. Unfortunately the main for myself which was the chicken and ribs combo with the new JD brown sauce was so over cooked and definitely not worth the money. My friend was supposed to have buttered potatoes with her paprika chicken and there was no butter. Yes I know I could of asked to have it changed or redone but I felt like what's the point. It's definitely a place to go if you like getting what you pay for and have all day to wait. I will come again but will order something different. The new JD sauce is really nice what you get of it, could of done with more.

User

In my opinion you get what you pay for, a nice cheap and cheerful meal, service is often slow but the place is usually busy, menu has something to suit everyone and food is well presented, staff are friendly, not the best quality food in the world but it's a nice cheap meal, ideal for lunch with friends, wouldn't consider it for a romantic evening meal, but for families that want economy or those on a budget it's ok.

We went this evening with friends for dinner was told on arrival there would be a 30 minute wait for a table which was fine so we sat in the bar area and had a drink 55 minutes later nothing so went and inquiried to be told the buzzer wasn't working very little interest from the member of staff about it. Finally sat down to another long wait for our food and service from the waitress being rubbish will think long and hard before returning

Visited The Farrier on New Year’s Eve, for the New Years party. This was the second year running because last year was absolutely fantastic, the manager last year was fab and so were the staff. This year however, was not that fab. On arrival we learnt that myself and my partner’s card payment had not gone through for our deposits, bearing in mind that this was all booked and paid for in November! Having had a confirmation email regarding our ‘full payment following our deposits’ along with a paper receipt through the post, why this information was left from us until the night is pathetic, considering our party consisted of 26 people each with their own separate bookings and contact information. The woman that I spoke to was rude, arrogant and had zero customer service skills. We were told that they lost our number so they couldn’t contact us before the night yet they had several contact numbers for the members of our party and clearly had my email address to send the confirmation, she constantly contradicted herself and subsequently ruined my night for £20, taking into account the amount of money they had taken from us for the night and drinks we had all bought. Aside from that, the rest of the staff were lovely and accommodating and the night turned out to be good. If you decide to go here for New Years Eve please make sure you get the correct confirmation so they don’t ruin your New Year’s Eve. Whoever the rude woman was, I would consider demoting her to cleaning the toilets she wouldn’t need customer service skills for that.

Used to like going here but nowadays there is always food on the floor. Staff seem under a lot of pressure too and takes ages to get your food

User

Terrible service! Asked for some butter, was told they’d have a look and bring it to the table. 10 minutes later I had to go back and ask if they’d found it, to be told they haven’t got any. Nobody came to the table to tell me. Not only the terrible service but the food wasn’t great either. Definitely not worth paying nearly a tenner for! Won’t be back. Unless there’s some intense staff training and you sort your ordering system out! Who runs out of butter when you’re serving breakfast.

We called in on our way back to melton . Service was so slow 45 min wait for our food .. I had Brie and it didn't even have a garish so looked awful .. I partner had a New Yorker burger and that was awful he said ... we were not impressed and will not be going back

User

The food was very poor over cooked with little or no taste nothing like on menu at all in taste or look, foid foodtook over 40 min to ararrive at table but staff where friendfriendly and helphelpful

I only wish at this point I could include photos ( which incidentally I have mailed to the complaints dept.

After a completely unacceptable wait for our food this evening and frankly not wishing to spend another moment in this establishment I asked if we could have our desserts in a pot to take home. Imagine my shock when I was presented with a dirty costa coffee cup containing the desserts. When speaking with the ( I presume head poncho in a grey shirt ) he simply said oh when presented with said dirty cup , no apology no mention of changing the dessert or refunding . Absolutely disgusting service. I hope that which ever team member brought the Costa coffee enjoyed it more than my family enjoyed ( we certainly did not ) our experience. And yes I have made a formal complaint and fully expect an appropriate response before I take this matter to environmental health.
