After twenty years of marriage to Katherine of Aragon, King Henry VIII is desperate for a male heir. Keen to divorce his Queen and seek a wife who will give him a son, he cannot defy the law of the land and the will of God.
Enter Thomas Cromwell - son of a blacksmith, political genius, briber, charmer, bully. A man who will defy princes, lords and popes to make the impossible happen for Henry. With Cromwell by his side, Henry pursues the young noblewoman Anne Boleyn and ignites a course of action that threatens to tear Europe apart.
This epic adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Man Booker Prize-winning novel was premiered by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2013 before transferring to the West End and Broadway.

Care Not, Fear Naught Written and directed by: Emily Hutt Presented by: Temporarily Misplaced Productions
Anne Bonny was born in 1801, out of wedlock in Kinsale, Ireland. Within nineteen years would become one of the most infamous pirates to ever sail on the Caribbean Sea. Very little facts remain from her life in what was then the New World – merely tiny dots on a map. Through this play we connect the dots and tell the true story of a woman who lived in a world ruled by men.... A woman who chose a path that led her into the heart of the most treacherous trade known; piracy. And she didn’t do it for her sex, she didn’t do it to prove herself to the men of that time, she did it simply because she wanted to.
On board a ship she learns what it is to be a woman, dressed as a man. Working her way up from nothing she fights tooth and nail to make her way from Nassau’s underbelly to a captain’s side. She learns about love, about pain, about fear but most of all about freedom. And she’ll let nothing take it away from her.
Date/time: 19 - 22 June @ 1pm
Tickets £7 in advance, £9 on the door.

Cleopatra's key - The Musical
Running till 10th July
Small and intimate venue that is walking distance from blackfiars station. I have to mention the bar where we got 2 alcoholic drinks and a soft drink for a tenner. This would have probably cost double in a west end Theatre. Only downside is the chairs are not suitable for longer than an hour before you start to feel uncomfortable but still 5* as nowherr near as expensive as west end tickets.
Also have to say well done to the cast of King if Hearts they were amazing.
Saw a brilliant am-dram performance care of Natalie halls xxx
Quaint little theatre, where your up close and personal, much better than the west end and very reasonably priced, and My Fair Lady was very good.
Massive congratulations to all the cast of The Drowsy Chaperone. Such a talented group of people. Absolutely loved it (especially the early finish 😉
Lovely 'hidden gem' of a performance space, formerly an old edwardian swimming pool. now used as an intimate 'off west end' theatre, this is a venue well worth seeking out and planning a visit to attend one of the numerous fantastic shows put on here, there is also a really cute bar area for pre or post drinks staffed with friendly people, this is one of my favourite places, not to mention the great value seating prices, this charming venue always puts on first rate performances which can vary from grand operatic nights to intimate comedies or well known musical favourites.. I have just attended a performance of 'PIAF'... The night was such an awesome experience! .. The main actress 'Cameron Leigh' portrayal of 'Piaf ' was nothing short of stupendous, she became the aging 'EDITH PIAF' before our eyes.. Bravo!... I urge people to go catch this extraordinary musical play, the singing was utterly sublime.... So good in fact, it was like having Dessert Twice!
It was my second visit to this well located, lovely little theatre. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I hope it's not too long until my next visit.
I really enjoyed it, Fame was amazing and full of energy. I came from Italy to watch it
Hard to find but lovely intimate space. Good view from all seats. xx
Great team there really lovely. Took a set there all went to plan !!!
Da Genova x vedere Fame! Compagnia fantastica! Davvero bravissimi tutti! ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿ ½
A Chip in the Sugar - great production, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Came across the Bridewell whilst on a wander around the City, will definitely be back.
Small and intimate theatre where the staff are very friendly. I watched their 50th anniversary production of The Pirates of Penzance. It's a brilliant show, funny and entertaining with some excellent performances and a standout talent in Giulia Boggiano who, with impeccable timing, poise and an outstanding voice stands out as star of the future!
Great little theatre hidden away in heart of London.
A few moments' walk from City Thameslink station. I have seen a number of plays here and saw their production of Nell Gwynne recently. Very entertaining and lots of laughs. A small and intimate venue, with both amateur and professional casts, this is a theatre I like to support.
