Summer break over, it's back to business! Now the weather has cooled slightly our jobs of making and decorating cakes becomes a whole lot easier. Whilst lovely, heat is not our friend when covering a cake in fondant.
The demo this month will be given by Ruby Buffong who will be showing us how to create handbag toppers using cookie cutters.
Hope to see you all and as always visitors are welcome to attend a one off meeting or perhaps become a fully fledged member giving them ...access to our monthly demonstrations and hands on meetings and membership to the British Sugarcraft Guild.
We are very fortunate to be sponsored by Sugar & Spice and All Things Iced, 113-115 Feltham Road, Ashford, Middx. www.sugarspiceandiced.co.uk

New cake show just about to start for a bit of light hearted entertainment
Thanks to all those who attended the hand pulled freesias demonstration given by Justine Talbot. A most enjoyable evening where the very talented Justine made a spray of freesias, snowbuds and succulent leaves. Linda was the lucky winner who took home the freesia spray. Top tip, rub trex lightly on your hands to make balls then Flattened into teardrops which makes the paste smoother and shiny. Looking forward to making these at our next meeting.
We are happy to welcome back Justine who will be showing us how to make freesias without cutters. For those of you attending, you will have a head start with our hands on next month where we will be having a go ourselves.
