Scorched apples – a sad sight on the farm as a result of the heatwave. Literally sunburned. These are our beautiful pink-fleshed Rosettes - at least 20% of the crop of this variety is affected so far.

Some kids who visit Brogdale have never tasted cherries and other fruits.
As part of our fundraising activities we are able to support schools travel costs. We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience the farm and learn about fruit farming, pollination, nature, climate & weather, healthy eating and more. If your school qualifies for support Brogdale Collections can pay the cost of your coach hire or train tickets.

What a glorious day at the blossom festival loved it!!

User

We visited today with a Home Education group. We had a lovely time. It was really informative and interesting. A lovely space to explore and the children had great fun running round in the play area. Thanks so much

User

We visited today for the Beastie Day and had a super time. My almost 5 year old was fascinated by the vast array of beasts that she was shown. The chap (Tony) was clearly very knowledgeable about his field of expertise and was really very patient with the children. The other member of staff, Kelly was fantastic! On the orchard walk she was very thorough at explaining about all the different fruits grown and the children all really took to her which really made the day that little bit more unique!

After the talk, orchard walk, picnic, nature hunt and crafting we had a wander around the shops and enjoyed a delicious ice cream on the terrace. Every member of staff we spoke to were very pleasant and helpful too. Would definitely recommend a visit!

User

We loved the beastie day! The bug show was brilliant and my daughter really enjoyed the activities in the learning lab. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back again, although maybe when the weather is better as it was freezing cold and rainy on the day we were there!

User

We had a fantastic day at the Cider festival. Loads of different ciders to try and excellent food. There was plenty for the children to do as well. Would highly recommend it

User

Our first visit ..to Brogdale Farm for the Easter Event.. We loved it . The trip on the tractor was great ... the man on there told us so much information. . Very informative and educational.. He was very pleasant. The way the easter eggs where hidden was lovely. And kept our daughter entertained. The musical instruments in the orchard area was a hidden treasures ;we all loved playing on them. We had to try the archery. The cafe lovely service, yummy cakes. We would highly recommend going. A great variety of meat in the farm shop and opposite a gift / drink shop.

User

Our 1st time at this event. Fantastic. Well Organised. Hubby is a wheelchair user and was able to join in as much as everyone else. Well catered for facilities. A rarity !!! In our experience. So Big Thanks to everyone for making our day so enjoyable.

Will definitely recommend and will be back next year with a crowd of our friends.

THANK YOU BROGDALE.

User

User

A wonderful place! took my children for the beastie bug day and we had a wonderful time! will definitely be back!

User

A really fabulous day, yet again. The only disappointment was there was no tea & cake room this year. It's always our favourite way to finish our day at the festival. Still a brilliant day though.

User

A lovely afternoon at Brogdale enjoying a tractor ride with cream tea and a selection of cakes and fruit served in a lovely vintage look cafe and beautiful crockery, we were lucky enough to win this on a competition on facebook but I would certainly recommend a visit to see the expanse and number of varieties in the fruit orchards, I never realised how big it was there.

User

A huge thank you to everyone involved in the beastie day today - my 5 year old bug lover and 2 year old insectophobic both had a fantastic time getting up close to the bugs and hunting around the grounds. To be able to appeal and adapt to children of all ages (and keenness of bugs) is a gift and I can't wait to bring my children again.

User

Visited for Pear day, extremely interesting, didn't know there were so many different types, Brogdale is always worth a visit, what ever the occasion.
