We had a great day sampling some of our products in our counter store, Key Store, Old Coach Road, East Kilbride. Celtic player Scott McDonald even got to meet the famous Kilmarnock Pie Man.

We were happy to attend and support the opening of Fosters Funeral Directors in Kilmarnock today. We would like to wish them well in their new venture.

... In a key position within the business your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Carry out quality checks, auditing and development of the quality management system, ensuring food safety, legality and quality of the products manufactured at the site are maintained. • Promote quality and safety by leading by example, challenging unsafe practises and behaviour. • To continually assist in driving the site Technical agenda and Health and Safety culture. • Participate as a member of the HACCP team • Generating and updating of specifications • Participate in BRC audits • Maintain document control system • To be fully conversant with all traceability systems and requirements • Carry out investigations on all complaints received and ensure they are closed out. The Candidate • Ideally a degree in Food Science or other relevant discipline • Experience of working in a Technical role • Level 3 HACCP Level 1/2Food Hygiene • Good working knowledge of BRC version 7 • Experience of conducting Internal Audits • Computer literate • Must be organised and able to take a hands on approach in a busy factory

As many of our customers maybe aware our Dean Street shop could not open today due to an incident in the area. This resulted in the shops full days stock being returned to the bakery this morning. All stock was then donated to the Belford Mill Homeless Centre in Kilmarnock. We hope everyone in the Centre enjoyed the products.
The Dean Street shop will be open again as normal tomorrow, apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

A perfect gift for the perfect teacher💕

Well this is an exciting day. 62 Kilmarnock pies, yes 62 have arrived on my doorstep.

I live in Jersey and didn't get a chance to stock up on my favourite Pie when I was in Kilmarnock a few weeks ago.

The amazingly kind people at Brownings answered my plight and couriered me two cool boxes via Train, plane and automobile (maybe even a boat).

The oven is on, the mouth is watering. Thank you so much from myself and all of the Scottish family down in Jersey.

Today I had an amazing birthday cake from Browning for my little boys birthday. Can ask for anything better for any cheaper. The sponge was lovely and soft and just melted in your mouth the kids and adults alike we asking where it come from. Will defo be ordering again for my kids birthday.

On our way home to Cumbria and we’re well in need of food and a cuppa. Came across this bakery and were very well impressed. Friendly staff and plenty to offer, especially in the pie department. Haven’t had such a nice tasting pastry before! And the toasted soda bread sandwich was delicious. Thank you for looking after us earlier. Mandy & Steven

I speak on behalf of Microtech Group when I say that the Kilmarnock pies and the new Gourmet selection are absolutely delicious!



Our team thoroughly enjoyed all of them but a special shout out has to go to the steak and stilton. It went down a storm with our David!

I recommend Brownings tay anyone is the best bakery i ken especially when i stayed in Crosshouse Kilmarnock 10years ago av always spent money and bought always fae Brownings i was in Kilmarnock yesterday Wednesday 20th September to go tay Springside motors and bought two sausage rolls fae Brownings and they were first class and very professional services to fae the staff like and i recommend anyone visiting Kilmarnock go tay a Brownings bakers. X

I have found out to my weights detriment, I love all things Brownings

Canny beat a Brownings. Lived in England 20 years and my first stop home is Brownings, and everyday while I’m home in kilmarnock. You seriously need to branch out, like Warrington somewhere lol.

Best tattie scones I ever had! Now whenever I leave Scotland I make sure to have at least 5 packages in my luggage!

As always the lady's at dean street are amazing! �� have delt with my (extremely late) birthday cake order and I have one very very happy 5year old. She totally adored her twilight sparkle cake beautiful as always! Again thank you x (especially Ann)

Always drop by when I'm back up north. Such a shame my family and I live down in England but I'm so happy Brownings now delivers Kilmarnock pies! My Scottish boys love them and always love a sweet and lovely hospitality when we are up north and drop in!

A huge thank you to all at Brownings for the beautiful hamper I won in your recent competition in conjunction with Aldi.It arrived today and every product looks absolutely delicious.Special thanks to the lovely Nicola for all her help and special delivery.You continue to be Scotlands top baker.Thanks again.

My family and myself like the( now) Kilmarnock pie.

We live in Fife and we can obtain regular supplies from our local branches of Aldi.

However we also are rather partial to your Belter bridies and these were also obtainable at Aldi Stores until quite recently.

Aldi now appear to no longer stock the Belter.

I wonder if this is a decision made by Aldi or one made by yourselves.

If it was made by Aldi,I would be pleased if you could persuade them into stocking this excellent product.

I was in your dean street shop on 5th March and one of your assistants needs to work on her customer service. The food was great as always but the service was absolutely terrible. If I didn’t have my work uniform on she would have heard me �

I came into the shop down bottom of town .. ordered 6 rolls sausage and onion . (My fav) Got them to where i was going and was only sausage .. hard as a brick .. so disappointed as always pop in before my trip back to peterhead.. girl behind who served me looked like she couldn't be bothered and service was shocking..

Fantastic !! Their bread , cakes and pies are brilliant ! Their Killie pies are yummy !! Always buy from them !!! Gold star Brownings !!!

Famous Kilmarnock pie , world scotch pie of the year ,best breakfast in Scotland and best bakery in Britain ..is there any awards you’s haven’t won ? and p.s a gd vet would have got my sausage back on its feet �

I have been getting the apple turnovers for years from the branch in irvine high street and they are always perfect the best you will get anywhere but went in today for some and very disappointed!! The pastry just crumbled and fell to pieces after one bite and was very dry also hardly any icing what is going on they are definitely not the same

didn't even want to give 1 star!! very disappointed with product and service!! looked nothing like the picture that I ordered from, a special birthday cake for my 70 year old mum, phoned shop to complain this morning and was fobbed off with a sorry!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH BROWNINGS! attention to detail on these things should be paramount in my opinion.

My sister ordered her Sons Communion cake and it was an absolute mess, too late to do anything about it the day before. Lettering is so messy, her 9 year old could have done a better job decorating.
