Can all seniors attending this wednesdays class please bring a katana or bokken for the Akiyama katana no kata. Those who have hakama,tabbi and himo please bring these too. Ossu!

A message to all students.When we resume to normal at the start of September, there has been a very slight change to the syllabi.The juniors will receive a new syllabus and the senior & intermediate grades will receive the new amendment pages to paste into their existing syllabus.Nothing major to worry about. Cosh is now on 7th Kyu and tanto defence is now on 4th Kyu,and the intermediate category has tamishawri on brown/white 2nd Chukan no. Thanks. Ossu!

A massive well done to all the seniors who passed their grading today. A very impressive display of Kempo Jujitsu and kata. Congratulations to Matt 'Bosch' Bexon on achieving the honorary 'Deshi' title where he will now start his journey as a disciple of the art and train towards becoming an instructor. Also well done to big Jim for achieving the 'Graduate of the Day' certificate. Huge thanks to rick and simon for giving up their day,especially simon for being a great uke for all that needed one. You can all relax and enjoy freestyle and kobudo over the course of the summer. Ossu!

What can one say? My little boy joined last Oct age 5. His confidence has grown, he has just graded. He loves coming to jujitsu, the sensei teach him great lifelong skills, it’s a great discipline for any abilities to try, with mixed classes. Most important is seeing the enjoyment on his face. I highly recommend this group. Give it a whirl.

This is a complete self-defence system. There is always a good combination of technique, sparring and ground-fighting, so every session is different. There are sessions for different age groups in the week, or a mixed-age class on Fridays. It is a really friendly club. I started 6 years ago and have never looked back! Give it a go!

My son has been training with this academy for a while and having trained here myself I can highly recommend this as a place to train. The sensei's are friendly and accommodating and while there is a focus on the syllabus you are also taught self defence techniques for real life situations.

My son has attended jujitsu for the past 18 months, with in that time I have been amazed what jujutsu has done for him. He struggled with his behaviour at school, but now he is like a different child! The teaching that he has received has been amazing, top quality, enabling him to grade 3 times! I have found that his confidence has grown immensely, and the respect that he has for others has truly had an impact since joining! All of the above would not have been possible without the encouragement and support of the sensei! I highly recommend the Budo Shin Ryu Kempo Jujitsu Academy! 5 stars!

Kempo Jujitsu at the BSKJJA is an exceptionally complete and efficient style that prepares students for any potential situation. Both modern and traditional elements are covered along with the correct discipline and etiquette. Instructors are very supportive and are adept at teaching both senior and younger students with great success. I always look forward to training here, I leave the dojo feeling focused and ready to take on the rest of the week’s challenges. I have made many good friends here and it really does feel like an extended family. I highly recommend the BSKJJA to anyone who wants to learn a self defence system as well as those who want to enhance their discipline and focus.

I started when I was 6 I love jujutsu because all the sensei's are kind and I'm learning so much. It's important to me because if I ever get into a situation where I need to use it I'll know what to do immediately and I owe it all to jujitsu

I’ve been training here for over two and a half years now and only have good things to say! It’s a great environment for learning, a fantastic way to stay in shape and is a brilliant form of self defence to learn. Everyone who teaches and trains is really supportive making a great atmosphere. I’ve made some awesome friends through this club and look forward to training every week. I’d highly recommend joining or coming down for a taster session!

It's a fantastic way to keep fit and learn a whole range of new skills with a great group of people. The atmosphere at the sessions and gradings makes for a brilliant environment and, whilst you will work hard, it's completely worth it.
