With happy hearts we are getting ready to look after you all for Valentine's day next week - we melt when we see the romantic couples dining together holding hands under tables, but equally rejoice in hosting big groups of friends, singles and those of you who need a little break from the cheesyness surrounding this day every year.

Kids love Busaba, and we love introducing the little ones to the tastes and textures of asian cooking and also watching them trying to use chopsticks! Half Term is just around the corner, so why not treat the family to a Thai feast and share food with the ones you love.

Happy New Year to all our Chinese friends! šŸ‡ØšŸ‡³ #YearOfThePig
Did you know that chopsticks are not typically used in Thailand? They were actually invented in China around 5000 years ago! We had so many requests from our guests for them, so who were we to argue! Hands up if you struggle using them... but if you do love eating our food with chopsticks we'll always have them for you - just ask for a pair. šŸ„¢

šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§London. About the other night: dinner at Busaba. Now one has not been to this staple london Thai chain for quite some time (we are talking 8 odd years) but was pleasantly surprised. Hearty portions and super quick service made for a delightful easy casual and affordable dinner. Marinated chicken satay skewers, light green papaya salad and green curry chicken were all lovely. But special praise must be given to the char-grilled oh so tender chilli, coriander, ginger and jasmine tea glazed beef short rib!

Took a while to decide where to eat but I'm glad I chose this restaurant it was amazing the food was nice and the customer care was excellent would definitely go back again. In witnessing the abuse that one of the waiters had to put up with I felt that Yordanos handled it in a very professional way although it was very upsetting for my friends and me to see what she went through. Spoke to managers that night Jayce & Vincent and they dealt with it straight away. Thank you for a great night and keep your chin up and keep smiling Yordanos your doing a fantastic job.

Raul and Ioanna served me and my friends and it was amazing! I have a strange intolerance to garlic and the onion family and the team including the chefs went out of their way to accommodate me. The dish they created out of their menu was so tasty. Thank you so much for such s great eating out experience.

User

My boyfriend and I visited for Valentineā€™s Day and the service offered, particularly from Victor, was amazing! He gave us complimentary calamari and we demolished all of our dinner apart from the chicken satay which appeared to be chicken thigh rather than breast. We both prefer breast which is less fatty and is therefore our only criticism. Victor was even accommodating after my boyfriend left his bag at the restaurant. He was helpful in identifying the lost bag and was happy for my father to come and collect it the same day. A true gentleman! We will definitely be returning.

I had a really lovely meal with my husband, son and his girlfriend on Saturday. The service was very efficient and the food was very very good. Thank you for a wonderful time and we will definitely be back again ļæ½

User

Been here a number of times. Portions are small and overpriced but food is great. Staff were friendly and service was on point. We ordered green curry, egg fried rice, matchstick chicken, calamari and a prawn dish which I think was bang bang prawns or along the lines of it. We also ordered Satay chicken and that was the only dish which we will not be ordering again!!!

User

I think the service is good especially ali the waitress who looked after us.. we liked the food.. the place is good..

User

I have been here several times as this chain is one of my favourites. Service is fine. Food is very tasty and seems authentic. albeit I agree a little expensive for the portion sizes- but I've never left hungry!

User

I agree with most of the other reviews that the service is slow, however this was my second visit to the chain and I would say that the food is very good and I would definitely go back, we had a 'free' main as it was my daughters birthday, at the end of the meal we asked if they could box it up to take home, the manager couldn't have been nicer he actually cooked us a fresh portion, that was really impressive well done Busaba Eathai!

User

Great place to eat, food, service and ambiance was on point.... a little pricey though considering the small portion sizes.

User

Myself and a group of friends who had never been to the restaurant before went for a girlsā€™ night out. The best choice was the seafood pasta, the duck didnā€™t go down too well because it seemed not fully cooked - if going for this dish and do not like raw, I suggest you tell the waiter you want it well cooked. The calamari was a bit of a disappointment - it was a bit too dry but the staff were amazingly accommodating - the manager was polite and understanding. I would definitely go again and recommend this restaurant.

User

Service is very slow ,staff is not very friendly Ive been in eating in Busaba for nearly 2 years almost every weekend and weekdays..but im so disappointed of service a lot of staff but it takes a long to wait to staff to come and ask you for you drinks and order.food is okey but sometimes is very salty especially the pad thai.my favorite is prawn that is yummy..and this year im thinking to celebrate my birthday oct.16 coz i got a guest 20 people a friend of mine ,but when i told them that im ganna celebrate in busaba they said ohhhh No.sorry but this is honest .and then they got this promotion that you got Ā£5 discount in your next viset they send by your email .and one day I went for lunch and i show to one of the staff and she said it to okey and she never come back to me ,and i ask again another staff and he said okey ,and Im waiting for another 45 menutes and no one come.so what i did i leave my money bill and leave..how stupid is that ..not recommended sorry.I try to come there to eat my favorite prawn but not recommended ...its true that they always run out of what you want.one time i order the Lemon grass tea and the staff said sorry no more..

User

Nice idea but Super bad service. Food arrived luke warm, and it took 15 mins from the curry arriving before the rice turned up. Still waiting for drinks to arrive. Put simply... staff can't cope and the kitchen staff have obviously lost interest. The waiter with the Salvador Dali moustache is off his head. The Asian woman walks past without even acknowledging anyone and the Spanish waiter is without doubt the worst example of wait staff. I recommend you give this place a wide berth.

I wanted to inform you of my last experience in your restaurant in Westfield Stratford.

I fully understand it was quite busy as it was Friday evening and fully aware the service was going to be slower than usual.

I was lucky enough to find some space to eat for 3 people; but once seated the service was just slow, initially asked if I could get a bottle of wine while waiting had to wait quite a long time to order the wine, after about 10-15 min I was informed the wine I wanted "Malbec" had finished; I was told to go for another bottle, I ended taking the Passori (Which was a good bottle) but as you know more expensive too.

Where I was quite disappointed was the length of time to get the wine, the dishes we had ordered (where there were a few mistakes we had ordered duck or beef not too sure on that occasion but were given chicken instead and changed after mentioned) a dish had been forgotten but was still found on the bill at the end - When the bill was received I didn't initially notice I was being charged for two bottles of wines the Passori and Malbec, but my friend noticed and mentioned it; waiter came back with a new bill but then noticed the extra dish we had ordered but never received, at the end I got told service charge is not included, by the way, to be honest with so many errors and slow service I don't know if I would ever mention this to a customer. We received as a gesture of goodwill few scoops of ice cream because I pushed for it, but this is by far my worst experience in one of your establishments.

But would also like to say that the food was just great so please share the feedback.

I'm still expecting an answer from you guys since (email was sent over) Saturday afternoon...

Foods used be so good! But gosh quality is gone down the hill compare to old days! my beef was so chewy and tiny portion. Had only few slice of beef for my stair fry main, my starter was okay. Service is not amazing either, so slow and difficult to catch attention form waiter and waitress. Also sticky rice was dry rock hard on top, I had to send this back to the kitchen.

User

We had our team Christmas lunch here on Tuesday. More than disappointing. Extremely slow service, food arrived before the drinks order was taken, plates even later. One waiter was so rude it was unbelievable! It was so cold we kept our coats on, when we asked the waiter if the heating could be turned up he simply replied "no and if you don't like it your welcome to leave". Unbelievable! Plus a Ā£30 service charge! Not a repeat experience ever! Avoid at at costs

User

The food is undeniably great but I will never use their app to pay for food. They charged me for my visit 2nd of July 2016!!!! That's right, I really mean 2016. They said that there was a glitch in their system so they were not able to charge my card registered on their app. Sorry but I just can't remember what food I had last year.

User

Number of things were not available from the menu! Once we did order three of us got our food and the four took ages and when we chased it we found the waiter forgot to order it. It showed up over and hour after we ordered and was the wrong dish!! Second bad time here so no more chances. Will not return!!

User

Food was burned, too salty . Wine was served in a dirty glass. When we pointed it to the waiter,we could see that he just poured the same wine into another glass. When I complained about burned food, they offered me another one ,but the person to whom I was talking to kept saying that it's going to be dry?! Maybe he though I complained that it was undercooked?! I explained to him that I want the normally cooked food. they brought me another one, which was ok. Also, they took off some money some money from my bill, but I think I'll never go back there again. I was thier customer several times, they failed to impress me, this was the last straw.

User

Extremely disappointing after really looking forward to trying out what looks to be a fantastic menu of vegan and vegetarian options.

Myself and three friends went to Busuba yesterday evening at Stratford Westfield. When we arrived we stood for a few minutes trying to catch someoneā€™s attention to be seated. This quickly became a theme for the evening, as we spent more time trying to get staffs attention than we did enjoying each others company and the meal.

When we were eventually seated the waiter did not take a drinks order, nor did he explain anything about the menu or service; for example- what wasnā€™t on the menu, or that the small plates and large plates come whenever they are ready, and in no particular order.

He did let us know that even though we were new customers, we wouldnā€™t get the Ā£5 off that was advertised on every single place matt in the building, as that, apparently, was an old promotion that you were no longer doing (yet still advertising).

Some 15 minutes later, having tried in vain to catch someoneā€™s attention on what was clearly a heavily understaffed night, we finally managed to order drinks and asked to have our food order taken. At which point we were told that of the three advertised vegan mains only one was available, and the starter- which we all wanted- was also unavailable. We pointed out that it would have been good to know this when we sat down, as we would certainly have gone somewhere else and this left us with only one dish to choose from.

He apologised and said that the Pad Thai was vegan, again we pointed out that it was listed as vegetarian. He said this was almost certainly a mistake and checked with the kitchen. It was listed as vegetarian and he said the kitchen had confirmed it was a mistake, so two of us ordered this and two the only other available main, along with some smaller plates.

The food all came out at roughly the same time (which we were not advised of, and although not an issue, we wouldnā€™t have ordered as we did had we known). One started was forgotten about and we again caught someoneā€™s attention to request it (we saw when the bill came it was added late).

We finished and the plates were cleared then we were simply left. No further drinks order was taken, no reference to hot drinks or desert was made. In the end in complete frustration we finally managed to track someone down and ask for the bill. Even this, once delivered was left sat on the table until we caught someoneā€™s attention.

The evening was frankly depressing and stressful, we couldnā€™t get served, had limited options and delays to everything. What was much looked forward to was a complete let down. Your staff were on the whole friendly and nice enough, but either had no idea what section or service they were supposed to be running, or were understaffed, or maybe just tired after a long shift. Whatever the issue was, it definitely didnā€™t warrant the money we spent and I would not be recommending the menu or restaurant.
