Squid and mango salad: recipe from #busabacookbook by #Busaba ( to order - https://amzn.to/2PpCAqd) Unripe fruits are often used in Thai salad but this one combines sweet, ripe mango with salty, spicy squid that is marinated with soya sauce, oil & chilli and seared on a griddle pan. The dressing is made of ginger, garlic, fish sauce, rice vinegar, lime juice, sugar & cold pressed rape seed oil, and it is delicious. The leaves are rocket, spinach, coriander & basil. It’s a substantial, flavourful and tasty salad.

There really are no words for how delicious the food is at @busababangkokthai The lamb shank Massaman curry is amazing, and the Tamarind duck was so zingy!!! 💗 The Kingston Riverside team are always so friendly and welcoming, can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Oh, and the igloos are fab!!!

What an beautiful evening of celebrations, food and setting good intentions for the coming year. ... We were incredible blessed to be joined by Thai Buddhist monks from Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon who lead our traditional floating krathongs ceremony.
Loi (meaning float) Krathong (meaning boat or vessel) is the festival of light celebrated during the full moon in the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar, and is a way of setting good intentions and letting go of anger and bad feeling for the new year. 🙏

Lovely food and service. You must try the rice pudding for dessert. Quite possibly the best dessert I've ever tasted (and I don't usually like desserts). Group of 13 for a works leaving party. Very well looked after.

Food was amazing. We enjoyed their Pad thai, hot and sour seafood, thai calamari, chicken liver and mango lime cheesecake. Service is great as well. I salute the staff. Will definitely come back! My new favorite Thai restaurant in Kingston ��

First time eating here....we luv thai food. ...food was amazing....spicy and tasty..staff were very friendly. ...couldn't fault the service...jasmine margarita was chill tastic. ...will definitely be back �

Lovely location, staff were so friendly and accommodating and food was delicious!! We had to wait quite a while for our main after our starter but it was busy so not a massive deal. We went for the 2 course option for 11.95 which had lots of choice which is unusual for these deals. Will definitely be back �

It was a wonderful experience to had dinner at Busaba. Foods are superb delicious. It’s been amazingly prepared. Ambiance was really excellent. Staff were nice and friendly. Foods were authentic and yummy. I highly recommend to everyone. Definitely we will come back.

Enjoyed outside seating and lovely Thai food

Ate lunch in the Kingston restaurant. Delicious food and excellent service. Portions were not at all small. I had to leave half my main just because I was far too full. Will definitely go again. I also noticed the staff being very helpful and accommodating with mums with prams. This was our first visit. Thank you!

The portions and quality have gone down and the prices have gone up, a bit disappointing.

Really friendly service and good value for money but definitely not authentic Thai. Their "very spicy" jungle curry was not spicy enough but maybe that's down to my personal taste. Very pleasant and would definitely visit again for the Thai calamari!!

Really disappointed; in fact annoyed. Lunch menu deal, gluten free options only on starters not main. Ridiculous. Spoiled lunch. Asked to substitute for same priced main, told no option. Not good that no options for gluten free lunch menu, forced to pay more/ no deals. Shame as food lovely.

It's the first time we decided to eat here. Ok service, ok food, ok interior, nothing special really ... I did find my food to have quite specific soy taste, but perhaps it's supposed to be like that, Thai food is not what I eat often. Portions were on a small side though... Next time I'll go to Cote or Cau, I find food there more to my taste.

4 of us had dinner....staff were lovely but couldn't understand us! (we are from UK) My friend had fish, just fish nothing else!! One dish was sent back because it was cold! We didn't have to wait too long. The day before my husband and I went for lunch there and it was lovely, better than the evening! I don't think we'd go again.

Was more or less empty but our food took forever to come out.. Sent our chicken satay back as they was under cooked to which the manager replied they use chicken thighs so will be pink. Pink not acceptable but these were more or less raw. After sending them back kept getting looks from staff as if we done something wrong

Service was slow, long waiting times for food to arrive, almost an hour just for starters and a drink and a further 45 mins for our mains. Quality was really poor, food was either bland or overly salty. Had to ask for additional drinks. Deliveroo were in an out constantly (as were the flies!) Only positive was the discovery of Qcumber sparkling water!

I went to the Kingston branch last evening, such a deasapointement � The food was like reheated from the day before or even more and served almost cold, dirty plates as well. The waiter was nice tho and apologised for the bad dinner experience we had, he said it was a messy and catastrophic evening. We spent €101 for 2 people including the drinks. I'm not sure I'll go in a Busaba restaurant again.

Busaba is not Thai food! Tasty dishes and decent portion sizes but when you have to put siracha hot sauce in your Thai green curry for some spice you gotta worry. The massaman was not a massaman, tasted and looked nothing like one. We are Thai food lovers and were thoroughly disappointed.

Very disappointed with the customer service. There was no effort to offer us more drinks throughout the night, we had to ask for our plates to be cleared away and both servers acted like we were a nuisance for them to deal with. We were also plagued by flies throughout our meal and although they were happy for us to move tables, they really didn't appear to care about the fact that there were flies everywhere. The fact that service was then included in the bill seemed an incredible cheek!

I would in no way recommend this restaurant. Should have gone to Wagamamas.

Very disappointed this time. We normally love Busaba, but this time we decided to book a table. I specified that we would like an outside table as we have a dog with us. The booking was confirmed & I did not get any other updates. When we arrived we were told:

1. No outside bookings are allowed (first come first served)

2.. No dogs allowed, even outside.



Apparently the no dogs rule is an area policy for all the restaurants, but that is clearly rubbish as we ate next door with out dog about a month ago.



No apology, no alternative suggestion. Busaba, you suck! I would happily support other restaurants in this area from now on.
