With happy hearts we are getting ready to look after you all for Valentine's day next week - we melt when we see the romantic couples dining together holding hands under tables, but equally rejoice in hosting big groups of friends, singles and those of you who need a little break from the cheesyness surrounding this day every year.

Kids love Busaba, and we love introducing the little ones to the tastes and textures of asian cooking and also watching them trying to use chopsticks! Half Term is just around the corner, so why not treat the family to a Thai feast and share food with the ones you love.

Meet Debora, Debora is our General manager at the original Busaba restaurant in Wardour Street (Soho) she reveals some secrets about her life and her time at Busaba… #MeetTheBusabaFamily
Q1: How long have you been with Busaba? A: I have spent the last 5 awesome years working for Busaba.
... Q2: What’s the thing you like most about working for Busaba A: For me Busaba does not just develops people but also “create believers”… Working in Busaba gives me the feeling of being “part of a whole”..part of a family….thats what makes home feel a little closer even when you are millions of miles away from home 😊
In our Busaba’s family “People work for people, they do not work for “businesses” This has been my mantra for as long as I can remember and this is the value and belief I try you transmit every day to my team.
Q3: What’s your favourite Busaba Dish? A: Definitely Thai calamari and Ginger beef Q4: What’s an interesting fact about yourself? A: I am a very ambitious and driven person, I always motivate myself even during the difficult moments, because I do have a clear passion for my job and for what I do.
Q5: What’s your favourite thing to do when you are not at work? A: I like going to museums as I am really passionate about arts. Also, I love going to the cinema and theatre. I currently speak 5 languages and I am planning to studying another two very soon. My dream when a I was a child was to speak all the languages existing in the world 😊 Q6: What is your best Busaba Memory? A: My best Busaba memory is when two years ago - I was still acting General Manager at the time in Covent Garden we had been awarded “the best restaurant of the year”. Covent Garden branch is the place where I started 5 years ago as foh team member and where I developed my Busaba’s career, therefore will always have a special place into my heart.
Thank you for your time, Debora and keep up all the amazing work you are doing! #TeamBusaba

Happy New Year to all our Chinese friends! 🇨🇳 #YearOfThePig
Did you know that chopsticks are not typically used in Thailand? They were actually invented in China around 5000 years ago! We had so many requests from our guests for them, so who were we to argue! Hands up if you struggle using them... but if you do love eating our food with chopsticks we'll always have them for you - just ask for a pair. 🥢

Can you tell us what the name of this ingredient? Hint, it kind of pops in your mouth when you eat it, goes well in curries and it’s cardinally not grapes...

Last week we partied BallieBallerson! Thank you to our incredible team who worked so hard in 2018. Your efforts and commitment will never go unnoticed. Let’s make 2019 full of happy guests and tasty Thai food! #TeamBusaba

Our chefs flash fry our freshly prepared seabass to achieve the golden crispy skin on this dish which then balances well with its tamarind, soy and lemongrass sauce.
The Golden Seabass Thod (Thod meaning fried in Thai) is one of our limited time only dishes and it could be gone before you know it, as we change and introduce new dishes regularly thought the year. 🐟

In 2018 we teamed up with Action Against Hunger to not only raise money but help drive awareness of this incredible cause and their aims.
Every time you ordered one of our Thai Aubergine Curry’s or from our children’s menu we donated 50p to #ActionAgainstHunger
Last year we, with help from our guests we raised £10,000 to go toward all the efforts and hard work this non profit charity is doing to eradicate child hunger in nearly 50 countries around the world.
... We aim to (with your help) make 2019 an even bigger year! Thank you and together lets end child hunger for good! ❤️

🇬🇧London. About the other night: dinner at Busaba. Now one has not been to this staple london Thai chain for quite some time (we are talking 8 odd years) but was pleasantly surprised. Hearty portions and super quick service made for a delightful easy casual and affordable dinner. Marinated chicken satay skewers, light green papaya salad and green curry chicken were all lovely. But special praise must be given to the char-grilled oh so tender chilli, coriander, ginger and jasmine tea glazed beef short rib!

You can't beat the smoked chicken Pad Kwetio! The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is happy and relaxed. I like the large shared tables inside, it never feels crowded or impersonal. And if you want a table to yourself there is always the patio outside. Service is always timely and friendly. I love coming here for a treat after a hard days shopping at Westfield.

User

Wonderful staff. Lovely experience eating at this place!! Thank you

User

We enjoyed the Pad Thai we ordered its yummy I also love the Guava Collins drinks, definitely we are coming back to try the other dishes.

User

The best thai restaurant i have ever been . The food is soo delicious !!! Every time im there im trying to try something different but im really in love with the thai calamari and that’s always on my table but even the new soyamari are soo good Also the staff is really friendly and they always make the atmosphere so nice . I am and I will always come back to Busaba

User

Nice atmosphere! Lovely and kind staff, especially Chiara who served us. She was friendly and helpful even when my friend asked to order another meal since she didn't like the one she chosed. They didn't charge us for the meal that we replace. Definitely going back!

User

I visited busaba last night ,even the place was very busy the waitress who serves as Ada was very friendly and helpful she was always smiling we really enjoyed!

User

Good food , friendly staff, lovely atmosphere . We made sure that we had our own table as on a previous occasion had to share the table with others , then the intimacy of a family / friends meal is gone out of the window. Please make more tables avalable fir customers who don’t like sharing with others .

User

Amazing place with amazing food. Thai calamari the best ever i really enjoyed. Everything was delicious definitely we are coming back to try the other dishes. And the service by Ada was great as well

User

thought the food was very good. What out for the 3 pepper dishes as they are hot but that is what Tai food is all about. We had Jordi who took very good care of us during dinner. If you are in the area and in the mood for a nice spicy Tai dish I would recommend it highly. Had a couple of Tai beers with dinner that were very good as well.

User

The food was really good and the staff were very friendly, just note that to save space you generally share your table with other people which was unexpected.

User

Excellent food. The only negative point will be that during dinner a school group came and the restaurant became quite noisy so I had to raise my voice to have a conversation with my friend....that doesn't mean I won't return.

User

As a lot of other reviews have mentioned, food was very nice, it’s just the service that lets it down and they weren’t particularly busy when we first went in....a lot if the staff look like they hate working there and it comes across in their attitude to the customers

User

Nice food, good atmosphere, not great choice of currys - no veg red curry or chicken red curry, no veg green curry ..

User

I have tried much better Thai food, the service was ok!

User

Food and service was good. But i don't understand how can any restaurant give a check with already added optional 10% service charge. There is a fine print at the bottom of the menu which ways 10% service charge will be added to the check. I don't mind paying it but I find it is not clearly communicated and it is a bit of sneaky way to charge customers. I don't think may customers are aware of that either.

User

Amazing food... average service but they were quite busy. But the wine list... shocking... was all sold out except for a cheap house Bianco and an indifferent Pinot Grigio... slightly disappointing when you want to buy a decent bottle and spend some money and the list is all sold out!? But at least the food was good... but it did detract from the experience.

User

Clean and beautiful authentic thai style of the restaurant, BUT the food is not so delicious! The noodles i ordered was hard , dry and very salty, hard to swallow coz the vermicelli noodles are hard, im a very good cook , authentic asian causine, they only stir fried the noodles, supposed to be they gonna soak of hot water first so that it will be soft before they cook, they can add a bit of water not only soya sauce , thats the reason why its salty and hard coz they cooked only with soya sauce . The chef i think they are not asian , coz if u are asian u know whats the technique how to cook vermicelli noodles.

User

Change of menu has taken away my favourite "spicy prawn rice"... I tried to find the closest & ordered a much expensive dish... but disappointed with bland taste. However, "Thai calamari" is a star!

User

Service was awful. We sat there trying to get the waiter and waitresses attention and after 20 minutes we finally began to order. Nobody even asked us for drinks. Duck noodles tasted precooked and were room temperature. Not impressed for an express lunch menu.
