With happy hearts we are getting ready to look after you all for Valentine's day next week - we melt when we see the romantic couples dining together holding hands under tables, but equally rejoice in hosting big groups of friends, singles and those of you who need a little break from the cheesyness surrounding this day every year.

Kids love Busaba, and we love introducing the little ones to the tastes and textures of asian cooking and also watching them trying to use chopsticks! Half Term is just around the corner, so why not treat the family to a Thai feast and share food with the ones you love.

Meet Debora, Debora is our General manager at the original Busaba restaurant in Wardour Street (Soho) she reveals some secrets about her life and her time at Busaba… #MeetTheBusabaFamily
Q1: How long have you been with Busaba? A: I have spent the last 5 awesome years working for Busaba.
... Q2: What’s the thing you like most about working for Busaba A: For me Busaba does not just develops people but also “create believers”… Working in Busaba gives me the feeling of being “part of a whole”..part of a family….thats what makes home feel a little closer even when you are millions of miles away from home 😊
In our Busaba’s family “People work for people, they do not work for “businesses” This has been my mantra for as long as I can remember and this is the value and belief I try you transmit every day to my team.
Q3: What’s your favourite Busaba Dish? A: Definitely Thai calamari and Ginger beef Q4: What’s an interesting fact about yourself? A: I am a very ambitious and driven person, I always motivate myself even during the difficult moments, because I do have a clear passion for my job and for what I do.
Q5: What’s your favourite thing to do when you are not at work? A: I like going to museums as I am really passionate about arts. Also, I love going to the cinema and theatre. I currently speak 5 languages and I am planning to studying another two very soon. My dream when a I was a child was to speak all the languages existing in the world 😊 Q6: What is your best Busaba Memory? A: My best Busaba memory is when two years ago - I was still acting General Manager at the time in Covent Garden we had been awarded “the best restaurant of the year”. Covent Garden branch is the place where I started 5 years ago as foh team member and where I developed my Busaba’s career, therefore will always have a special place into my heart.
Thank you for your time, Debora and keep up all the amazing work you are doing! #TeamBusaba

Happy New Year to all our Chinese friends! 🇨🇳 #YearOfThePig
Did you know that chopsticks are not typically used in Thailand? They were actually invented in China around 5000 years ago! We had so many requests from our guests for them, so who were we to argue! Hands up if you struggle using them... but if you do love eating our food with chopsticks we'll always have them for you - just ask for a pair. 🥢

Our chefs flash fry our freshly prepared seabass to achieve the golden crispy skin on this dish which then balances well with its tamarind, soy and lemongrass sauce.
The Golden Seabass Thod (Thod meaning fried in Thai) is one of our limited time only dishes and it could be gone before you know it, as we change and introduce new dishes regularly thought the year. 🐟

In 2018 we teamed up with Action Against Hunger to not only raise money but help drive awareness of this incredible cause and their aims.
Every time you ordered one of our Thai Aubergine Curry’s or from our children’s menu we donated 50p to #ActionAgainstHunger
Last year we, with help from our guests we raised £10,000 to go toward all the efforts and hard work this non profit charity is doing to eradicate child hunger in nearly 50 countries around the world.
... We aim to (with your help) make 2019 an even bigger year! Thank you and together lets end child hunger for good! ❤️

🇬🇧London. About the other night: dinner at Busaba. Now one has not been to this staple london Thai chain for quite some time (we are talking 8 odd years) but was pleasantly surprised. Hearty portions and super quick service made for a delightful easy casual and affordable dinner. Marinated chicken satay skewers, light green papaya salad and green curry chicken were all lovely. But special praise must be given to the char-grilled oh so tender chilli, coriander, ginger and jasmine tea glazed beef short rib!

User

I've been there with my friends for dinner last night, the best thai I ever tried, the best calamari in london and the jasmine beef rib.. The service was excellent, Chiara and Stella were amazing!!!

User

I visited Busaba on friday night.even the place was packed with long queue we were given a table in just 10 minutes! We had great food and Joanna is just amazing with great sense of humour! Will come back for sure!

User

Far too good. Bloody hurry up and open a branch in Edinburgh-it's far too expensive to keep flying down here for food!

User

Fantastic food we loved it, It was our first visit and we ordered the lunch menu. I really want sure if I would like the tea but we bothoved it. We will defiantly be visiting again

User

Amazing! Always fantastic, always friendly, and I love the app.....thanks for my free things, this week I enjoyed free calamari......I've not had it before and it's by far the best calamari I've ever had! Unlike any calamari I've ever had anywhere, no idea what you do with it but keep doing it!!! It's incredible! Top compliments to the chef

Nice food, good service

User

Good place to eat but I find with the new Menu the a rise in price and smallier portions which I have found now in two of there place.

User

A pleasant welcome from staff. Chilli ratings on how hot the food is was pretty spot on. The beef dish was superb with massive flavours. A nice atmosphere and not hounded by staff during your visit.

User

I left your restaurant still hungry. I had the chicken laksa and there was a good portion of soup but very little chicken and noodles, probably about a tablespoon of chicken and two spoons of noodles. Not at all what I expected for £10 and this is a dish I eat a lot when it's on the menu

User

Have the calamari starter it's amazing. Don't even think of having the jungle curry, it's a bowl of red coloured water. No flavour at all. The vermicelli noodles is very nice too. Spring roles are great. Try the spiced apple juice.

User

Calamari was almost cold.. asked for it to be prepared again but got reheated one which was still warm and not hot, hard and chewy.. Curry with coconut rice was nice.. service needs to be a bit more fast and organised.

User

Very nice food however seating not that great for being able to talk, as a small party we were seated quite far apart even though we had requested special seating as it was a special occasion. We were sent an email for complimentary drinks which was not reflected in the bill, and as it was a special occasion we didn't want to make a fuss. Our child's food arrived well before everyone else and therefore had finished before the adults had started. Then unfortunately the starters arrived after the main course. To top it off we had 3 out of 4 ice creams arrive all the same but my youngest was left waiting. Not the best experience but we made the best of it as it was a birthday meal. Don't think we will be returning or recommending very disappointing.

User

I think the food has gone a little down hill recently. I was really disappointed with the Thai Calamari which used to be one of my favorite dishes of all time but unfortunately I found it dry, overly crispy and cut in really tiny pieces. I asked for a new portion and it was exactly the same. The waitress told me that this was now how it was being served . The people next to me said they were also disappointed with the calamari for the same reason and that it used to be better before. I might try the Wardour St branch and if it's the same then I'm not bothering with Busaba again.

User

We went as a family on mother's day 2018 and it was a disappointment. In fact I felt we were cheated as it was an occasion.

My wife ordered Tom Yam Goong, when it arrived she gave it a stir before serving up a bowl.

To her surprise it contained a single lonely prawn. She spoke quietly to the waitress who apologised, took the soup and brought her another a few minutes later. Again my wife gave it a stir. This time, she found 3 prawns in total.

This is unacceptable as the soup was £11.95.

I have contacted Busaba privately on Facebook messenger but they've have failed to respond after 4 days, despite the fact that I received an automated response stating they will respond the following day.

It would be nice if they took as much interest in responding to my message as they did taking our money.

Thai roti was Asian Shana Frozen paratha . Service was poor . Chicken smell like 2/3 days old been served.not recommended at all . Poor management and been told that due to short of staff it’s luke this .

Waste of money going there . Only good things was environment was good .

User

It took an age to get seated after being told it was “going to be 20mins” which was good for a Saturday night. The food arrived cold or warm at best and it took nearly 90mins to get our food from ordering. The manager did not deal with our concerns but left it to his deputy and the waiter who were brilliant and very apologetic. Love other branches just not this one.....

User

I will never return. Calamari was terrible over cooked and noodles etc had not nice taste. Very bland and boring. Waste of money. Staff wasn't that friendly. When I asked for a box to take it home. She looked down at me. The reason I took it home was to give too the DOG. I will never return.

User

I visited Busaba Eathai Covent Garden last weekend. Very disappointed and surprised to have found out that your 'vegan' spring rolls are actually cooked in the same oil as the other meats.

The waitress who took my order made me aware of this. I asked to have this fried in a different oil but nothing could be done. Refused without even asking anyone in the kitchen.

False advertisement to claim something as vegan/vegetarian on your menu, when this is actually cooked in the same oil as meat. Very disappointed.

Don't claim something to be vegan/vegetarian if it isn't. Simple.
