With happy hearts we are getting ready to look after you all for Valentine's day next week - we melt when we see the romantic couples dining together holding hands under tables, but equally rejoice in hosting big groups of friends, singles and those of you who need a little break from the cheesyness surrounding this day every year.

Kids love Busaba, and we love introducing the little ones to the tastes and textures of asian cooking and also watching them trying to use chopsticks! Half Term is just around the corner, so why not treat the family to a Thai feast and share food with the ones you love.

Meet Debora, Debora is our General manager at the original Busaba restaurant in Wardour Street (Soho) she reveals some secrets about her life and her time at Busaba… #MeetTheBusabaFamily
Q1: How long have you been with Busaba? A: I have spent the last 5 awesome years working for Busaba.

Q2: What’s the thing you like most about working for Busaba A: For me Busaba does not just develops people but also “create believers”… Working in Busaba gives me the feeling of being “part of a whole”..part of a family….thats what makes home feel a little closer even when you are millions of miles away from home 😊
In our Busaba’s family “People work for people, they do not work for “businesses” This has been my mantra for as long as I can remember and this is the value and belief I try you transmit every day to my team.
Q3: What’s your favourite Busaba Dish? A: Definitely Thai calamari and Ginger beef �Q4: What’s an interesting fact about yourself? A: I am a very ambitious and driven person, I always motivate myself even during the difficult moments, because I do have a clear passion for my job and for what I do.
Q5: What’s your favourite thing to do when you are not at work? A: I like going to museums as I am really passionate about arts. Also, I love going to the cinema and theatre. I currently speak 5 languages and I am planning to studying another two very soon. My dream when a I was a child was to speak all the languages existing in the world 😊 �Q6: What is your best Busaba Memory? �A: My best Busaba memory is when two years ago - I was still acting General Manager at the time in Covent Garden we had been awarded “the best restaurant of the year”. Covent Garden branch is the place where I started 5 years ago as foh team member and where I developed my Busaba’s career, therefore will always have a special place into my heart.

Did you know that chopsticks are not typically used in Thailand? They were actually invented in China around 5000 years ago! We had so many requests from our guests for them, so who were we to argue! Hands up if you struggle using them... but if you do love eating our food with chopsticks we'll always have them for you - just ask for a pair. 🥢

Our chefs flash fry our freshly prepared seabass to achieve the golden crispy skin on this dish which then balances well with its tamarind, soy and lemongrass sauce.
The Golden Seabass Thod (Thod meaning fried in Thai) is one of our limited time only dishes and it could be gone before you know it, as we change and introduce new dishes regularly thought the year. 🐟

In 2018 we teamed up with Action Against Hunger to not only raise money but help drive awareness of this incredible cause and their aims.
Every time you ordered one of our Thai Aubergine Curry’s or from our children’s menu we donated 50p to #ActionAgainstHunger
Last year we, with help from our guests we raised £10,000 to go toward all the efforts and hard work this non profit charity is doing to eradicate child hunger in nearly 50 countries around the world.

🇬🇧London. About the other night: dinner at Busaba. Now one has not been to this staple london Thai chain for quite some time (we are talking 8 odd years) but was pleasantly surprised. Hearty portions and super quick service made for a delightful easy casual and affordable dinner. Marinated chicken satay skewers, light green papaya salad and green curry chicken were all lovely. But special praise must be given to the char-grilled oh so tender chilli, coriander, ginger and jasmine tea glazed beef short rib!

Lovely food, attentive staff. Was undecided on my main and ask the waiter which one. He said without a doubt the ribs as they were his favourite. He wasn't wrong. Really tasty. Needed a little more bread as ran out although better that way tHan the other. Sell Chang beer which I adore.

We went for a work leaving do.Staff were very attentive and food was scrummy.Especially the prawn crackers. I would highly recommend Busaba Eathei.

The food is amazing. Best calamari I've ever had. Not satisfied with service, unfortunately. We had to wait really long to be served and every time we wanted to order some more. I'd recommend if you go for good food!

Today ( 1st October 2017) I came to busaba eat Thai at 1825hrs to make sure that i would be able to order the fabulous chicken laksa before 1900hrs - this was on offer from the menu between 1200- 1900hrs. Oliver Jones (manager) took us to the table for 2. At 1830 my partner ordered for Chicken Laksa for 2 only tonne told that this was not available anymore. My and my partner walked out and was followed by Oliver Jones (manager) to the door and said that he DID NOT REALISE THAT IT IS ONLY 1835 and the CHICKEN LAKSA IS STILL AVAILABLE. He offered this to us as complimentary (free) since he already disappointed us. We left and had dinner elsewhere and came back to BUSABA to complain and ask for an explanation. When I spoke to Oliver Jones (manager) he did seem to know what's on offer and did not make any effort to check what he can do for us before saying "NO" we don't serve it anymore and this was before 1900hrs. This was not the first time we had this experience as we live local and often come and visit just for the chicken laksa. I believe that this customer feedback should be read and actioned by the higher management. This reflects not only bad customer experience but it is bad for your business as a whole. I will yet to make an appointment to meet with ODETTE LAVRADO (general manager) to discuss this experience as paying customers. Let see what happens.............,,

Only reasonable food despite the location and price. Fair enough the service was good and the food came out promptly - but I've had better. Nothing special

Food was bland and not good quality (at the bottom of my pad thai jay there was a big chunk of garlic ?! I unfortunately bit into... bleee).

Service was very poor - first waiting to place an order (I had to stop the floor manager who couldn't care less), then not everything was provided, not once anyone asked about the food, plates were taken without a word. The worst Busaba experience, we will not be coming back to this branch again.
