With happy hearts we are getting ready to look after you all for Valentine's day next week - we melt when we see the romantic couples dining together holding hands under tables, but equally rejoice in hosting big groups of friends, singles and those of you who need a little break from the cheesyness surrounding this day every year.

Kids love Busaba, and we love introducing the little ones to the tastes and textures of asian cooking and also watching them trying to use chopsticks! Half Term is just around the corner, so why not treat the family to a Thai feast and share food with the ones you love.

Meet Debora, Debora is our General manager at the original Busaba restaurant in Wardour Street (Soho) she reveals some secrets about her life and her time at Busabaā€¦ #MeetTheBusabaFamily
Q1: How long have you been with Busaba? A: I have spent the last 5 awesome years working for Busaba.
... Q2: Whatā€™s the thing you like most about working for Busaba A: For me Busaba does not just develops people but also ā€œcreate believersā€ā€¦ Working in Busaba gives me the feeling of being ā€œpart of a wholeā€..part of a familyā€¦.thats what makes home feel a little closer even when you are millions of miles away from home šŸ˜Š
In our Busabaā€™s family ā€œPeople work for people, they do not work for ā€œbusinessesā€ This has been my mantra for as long as I can remember and this is the value and belief I try you transmit every day to my team.
Q3: Whatā€™s your favourite Busaba Dish? A: Definitely Thai calamari and Ginger beef ļæ½Q4: Whatā€™s an interesting fact about yourself? A: I am a very ambitious and driven person, I always motivate myself even during the difficult moments, because I do have a clear passion for my job and for what I do.
Q5: Whatā€™s your favourite thing to do when you are not at work? A: I like going to museums as I am really passionate about arts. Also, I love going to the cinema and theatre. I currently speak 5 languages and I am planning to studying another two very soon. My dream when a I was a child was to speak all the languages existing in the world šŸ˜Š ļæ½Q6: What is your best Busaba Memory? ļæ½A: My best Busaba memory is when two years ago - I was still acting General Manager at the time in Covent Garden we had been awarded ā€œthe best restaurant of the yearā€. Covent Garden branch is the place where I started 5 years ago as foh team member and where I developed my Busabaā€™s career, therefore will always have a special place into my heart.
Thank you for your time, Debora and keep up all the amazing work you are doing! #TeamBusaba

Happy New Year to all our Chinese friends! šŸ‡ØšŸ‡³ #YearOfThePig
Did you know that chopsticks are not typically used in Thailand? They were actually invented in China around 5000 years ago! We had so many requests from our guests for them, so who were we to argue! Hands up if you struggle using them... but if you do love eating our food with chopsticks we'll always have them for you - just ask for a pair. šŸ„¢

Can you tell us what the name of this ingredient? Hint, it kind of pops in your mouth when you eat it, goes well in curries and itā€™s cardinally not grapes...

Last week we partied BallieBallerson! Thank you to our incredible team who worked so hard in 2018. Your efforts and commitment will never go unnoticed. Letā€™s make 2019 full of happy guests and tasty Thai food! #TeamBusaba

Our chefs flash fry our freshly prepared seabass to achieve the golden crispy skin on this dish which then balances well with its tamarind, soy and lemongrass sauce.
The Golden Seabass Thod (Thod meaning fried in Thai) is one of our limited time only dishes and it could be gone before you know it, as we change and introduce new dishes regularly thought the year. šŸŸ

In 2018 we teamed up with Action Against Hunger to not only raise money but help drive awareness of this incredible cause and their aims.
Every time you ordered one of our Thai Aubergine Curryā€™s or from our childrenā€™s menu we donated 50p to #ActionAgainstHunger
Last year we, with help from our guests we raised Ā£10,000 to go toward all the efforts and hard work this non profit charity is doing to eradicate child hunger in nearly 50 countries around the world.
... We aim to (with your help) make 2019 an even bigger year! Thank you and together lets end child hunger for good! ā¤ļø

šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§London. About the other night: dinner at Busaba. Now one has not been to this staple london Thai chain for quite some time (we are talking 8 odd years) but was pleasantly surprised. Hearty portions and super quick service made for a delightful easy casual and affordable dinner. Marinated chicken satay skewers, light green papaya salad and green curry chicken were all lovely. But special praise must be given to the char-grilled oh so tender chilli, coriander, ginger and jasmine tea glazed beef short rib!

The food is so mouth watering and not forgetting the peaceful surrounding. The smell of incense sticks carried us to an idyllic world where everything was growing in deep rusticity. It will be a pleasure to go and eat there again ā¤

Amazing restaurant, polite staff and the food was absolutely fantastic! We had a great evening here and have already reccomended this place to some friends that are visiting London very soon.

Some types of shakes sold out quite early in a day which is a shame But thanks to that I had the best shake I did not mean to order. Try Ko Phi Phi shake! It's the best!

User

Really Good food (a little bit more in the plates would be great) service is nice

Had an awesome time with my Partner in crime Deevish. It was a surprise dinner date. Enjoy the wonderful atmosphere with yummilicious foods and without forgetting the Special company of my King ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½... The only thing I didn't like was sitting with strangers and they were starring at us and no privacy. Thank you

User

The food was decent. Good quality. Ambience is good. Seats however, are very uncomfortable. Food slightly overpriced but I guess the location is what makes it expensive. I'd rather buy my food from Wasabi down at the Bond Street station.

Food tasted great however portion are small and service was poor, the waitress brought us two dishes when clearly there were three of us dining and then I had to get another waiter/manager to get me a plate...you are in central London SERVICE has to be flawless

User

My partner and I have been coming to Busaba for years, ever since the first one opened in London and are regulars at the one on Bird street due to the great menu, wonderful atmosphere, beautiful interiors. All very cleverly done with close attention to detail, great results and friendly service.... so what on earth has happened recently?!? Did you decide to waste some money on an unnecessary rebrand to see if you could ruin everything that had been created and change it for cheap music, cheap A&E room lighting, cold fast food type atmosphere with a huge walled off ā€˜privateā€™ (and empty) area and ruin/Americanise a lot of dishes on the menu (why on earth would you put confit duck leg in a duck mussaman curry???)?

Obviously the management or ownership has changed hands recently and whoever has taken over has no taste whatsoever and should undo all the latest decisions he/she have made and let those who knew what they were doing return it to business as usual!

Please hurry up and fix this, otherwise we will have to tick it off of our ā€˜favourite places to eatā€™ list and stop coming.

User

I usually love this place, they got one dish wrong but the manager quickly fixed it/ my only challenge both my friend and I were sick for the next 24 hours hmmmm

User

I go to Busaba regularly and have been for many years. However, sadly, the quality (and quantity) of the food is increasingly disappointing, the new menu just doesn't seem to work. The portions are smaller to what they used to be, which may be caused by the economic competition, but that never excuses its poorer quality. Only yesterday, my Tom Yum was super bland with no sourness to it whatsoever (we had to ask for some lime and added extra fish sauce to make it edible), my beef salad had no spice to it at all except for the chopped chili, the amount of calamaries was half of what it used to be, Som Tam was ok but oversweetened.. At least Pandan chicken was good. And, finally, taking the mango-chilli prawns off the menu is not to be forgiven!

User

The food was not good so we have one bite of the food and we did not like so we went to pizza express

User

Eaten here many times before, when I am back in London and loved it but tonight was an utter disaster. Food served in the wrong order, cold, no attention and they still wanted to charge a 10% service charge.
