Completed in 1873, Butler's Wharf was once the largest warehouse complex on the Thames. Having remained derelict after closure in 1972 , this early SE1 development is perhaps best known for Terence Conran's restaurants such as Le Pont de la Tour, where the Clintons and Blairs famously dined. The Wharf is also home to gastronomic delights such as the Butler's Wharf Chop House, Cantina del Ponte, Bengal Clipper, Captain Tony's Pizza & Pasta Emporium and Pizza Express. Conran's acclaimed Design Museum also houses the Blue Print Cafe.

A historic part of the river, and right by the City of London square mile, there are plenty of excellent restaurants, cafes and shops to visit and a superb part of the river Thames, especially if you want to take in sites like Tower Bridge, City Hall on London's famous skyline.

Surrounded by history this
place is in itself history. Great
view of Tower Bridge. Lots
of food and drink. Interesting
walks either side of the river.

The best place to get a beautiful view of the tower bridge. Lots of cafes amd restaurants. The whole place gives you that historic old untouched vibe.

The Queen’s Row barge with its design reflecting vessels from the Thames’s 18th-century water pageants is set to be a truly striking addition to the Jubilee celebrations, she was built in 2012 and the lead boat of any procession
