Would you like to be part of the BVNA family photo?
BVNA are asking all veterinary nurses to grab their cameras.
... We need photos of veterinary nurses in their uniform. You might be by yourself, with a colleague, your own pet or even a patient (with the owner's consent). A simple uncluttered background would be helpful.
Please ensure your photo is a head and shoulder shot - and remember to include a visible RCVS badge if you are an RVN. Also please ensure the photos are high resolution - take care not to compress them when you send them through.
Photos are for use during our 2019 Congress and all suitable images used will be entered into a free prize draw, with one lucky winner being drawn to receive registration to the 2019 BVNA Congress.
Please submit your high resolution photos by emailing bvna@bvna.co.uk

Pet charity launches search for the top UK veterinary nurse of 2018
Blue Cross has begun their annual search for the UK‘s 'Veterinary Nurse of the year' and is calling on pet owners and veterinary practices to help. The charity’s award recognises the dedication of the country’s vet nurses and their invaluable support to their veterinary teams, the nation’s pets and pet owners. The award is given to a vet nurse who not only cares for sick and injured pets but also goes the ext...ra mile to encourage responsible pet ownership and improve pet welfare in their community.
The awards will be presented at the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) Annual Congress which takes place from 12 - 14 October at Telford International Centre in Shropshire. Last year's Veterinary Nurse award was presented to Fiona Leathers from Bonnybridge, Falkirk. Fiona was nominated for her passion to help pets and using her spare time to volunteer for veterinary and animal rescue charities.
David Catlow, Blue Cross Director of Veterinary Clinical Services said: “Blue Cross gives this annual award to recognise the commitment of vet nurses across the UK who work tirelessly to improve the lives of our pets. We are looking for vet nurses who really go that extra mile to support pet owners and have a significant impact on animal welfare”. If you know a vet nurse who you believe has gone the extra mile for your pet or you believe they have made a significant contribution to animal welfare, complete the nomination form on the Blue Cross website at www.bluecross.org.uk/BVNA2018.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 7 September 2018.
