The Russian Grand Prix weekend is in full swing, so let's go on a hotlap of the Sochi Autodrom with Hype Energy eforce India driver Fabrizio Donoso Delgado and F1 Games from Codemasters's F1 2018.

Sergio Perez: “I am feeling positive about this weekend and I think we’ll be competitive. Singapore did not bring us the result we expected but the performance and balance of the car were very good. If we can carry that pace forward to Sochi, we should expect a strong result. I think the new upgrades still have some potential to unlock and hopefully we will be able to do so in Russia.”

Esteban Ocon: “I enjoy the Sochi track: it’s going to be the third time I will have raced there. I had a very successful weekend there in GP3 and last year it was the place where I made it into Q3 for the first time in Formula One. Those are some good memories and hopefully we will have more of them when we return."

“There was one positive from Singapore – the pace of the car. Sergio qualified a comfortable seventh and the upgrades brought us an immediate performance step. There is definitely more to come and Sochi is a good circuit to learn more about the new aero package. I think we can be up there this weekend fighting to be the best of the rest and scoring good points.”

Nicholas Latifi will return to FP1 action in Russia next week. It will be his third F1 practice session of the year and he will drive Sergio’s car at the Sochi Autodrom.

“An extremely disappointing race. It’s unacceptable for teammates to hit each other and it has cost us dearly. They didn’t leave each other enough room and the contact put Esteban into the wall. These painful lows are part of racing and it’s fair to say that there are very few positives to take from tonight apart from the car pace. We will have some discussions behind closed doors and will learn from what happened so that we can become stronger as a team.”
Not a happy evening for the team, but this is racing sometimes.

Not the race we wanted, not the race we expected with our strong pace. We will regroup and come back stronger from this.
Just one evening to feel annoyed and disappointed at this result; from tomorrow morning, work starts again to be back where we want to be!
