it was so lovely, the decor, those lovely chandelier s and very nice staff. the tea is served in lovely cups with a very jug of milk , the best was the warm scones served lovely with jam. Can’t wait to come back

Whenever we're in London, we will definitely go to this particular one in Whitehall, our fave .... The BEST Italian restaurant in London !

I can only comment on the lovely cappuccino I had as it was just a quick coffee while I waited with my friend to go on an afternoon bus tour. I'm definitely going back to sample the delicious looking cakes on offer! The place was very stylish and the staff were efficient and friendly. A little pricey but worth it for the surroundings and a perfect cup of coffee

Had a couple of days visit to London.... and I love this place coffee and food is amazing .... and cakes to bring home are the best .... wish there was one in cardiff .... next trip to London definitely another stop to this lovely caffe xxx

Amazing place to eat! The staff were very nice and treated us so well (hence why we went back 2 more times after the first). Couldn’t recommend this place enough, defiantly will be back when we’re in London again!

This is a little gem of a find, with its Art Deco interior with mirrors & chandeliers, and very welcoming staff. The location is great, just off Trafalgar Square. Good varied menu, but worth a visit, just to recharge ones batteries with a coffee and cake. I would of given 5* but for the added 12.5% service charge added to your bill, but hey this is London I guess, as a tourist trap; with a unique dinning experience. Recommended.

We went on a freezing cold day for dinner and it was very good with nice decor. The service was good, but I had to ask for a cooler for our bottle of white wine. My rigatoni was very good with a good amount of chicken, mushrooms and sauce. DH ordered Calzone pizza but said it could have been a bit crisper as it was quite soft and doughy. We had cake for dessert but they were quite limited as a lot had sold out, it was only 6:30. I didn’t object to the 12.5% service charge as the service was good, apart from the lack of wine cooler. Price was very good, £62 for a 2 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine in central London including service charge.

Unfortunately our order seemed to have gone astray and we waited quite some time to get our afternoon tea. Be aware, there is a12.5% service charge.

This was our very first impression of London... it’s located right on the famous Trafalgar Square. Beautiful location. Excellent choice of delicious pastries. However, the waitstaff was unfriendly, slow, unhelpful & they were the only restaurant in Europe that automatically added a 13% gratuity to all tables regardless of size. We were a table of two. We didn’t receive good service, but hopefully it wasn’t because we were Americans. London could learn a little from Ireland about how to treat Americans. We tip well for good service. We don’t understand London’s uppityness. Give us Ireland any day- the Irish treat Americans with sincere hospitality. We’d return to Dublin before London based on our experience.

The interior design in the brick-and-mortar is rather excellent but I think if the management is centralised, we could use the Iventure card in any selected branch. However, out of four branches, my Iventure usage card had been rejected by the first three branches which a few of them were actually INCLUDED in the Iventure package.



Secondly, I was not being served in a well manner. For instance, during the negotiation moments in Iventure card, my family and I had to stand for quite a long time without having to be asked to sit down and the new customer was served before us eventhough we arrived earlier.

Lovely setting, fillet steak was lovely, presented well but would not serve it in a sheet of paper at the bottom of the tray. Paper got wet and stuck to bottom of steak, and broke up and I did not notice I was eating the paper. Mom and sister had the fried platter

For 2, 3 different items, not worth the £18.

Service was not brilliant, the fact that they add 12.5% on to the bill means Ineould not go back.

You'd expect an establishment in London to have at least a basic understanding of an afternoon tea, particularly if they're going to charge almost £20 for it. Runny jam, which when queried as to why it's the only jam I've ever come across that was liquid and won't even stay on a scone, was apparently because of a "change yesterday". Ridiculous response. Scones that were inconsistent temperature and cold in the middle. Macarons that have lost all texture and were damp are obviously more than a day old. Some mousse thing which was a combination of both thick and stodgy and wet and grainy (how you achieve that at once is mystifying). Tea that lacked any flavour out of a cheap indistinguishable teabag. Don't waste your time here.

What a big disappointment! The shop looks awesome, with all the spider lamps, unfortunately the only good thing is the coffee. We ordered a lemon juice, 4 coffees, one eclair and two pieces of cake. We got the wrong cakes, one coffee missing and the eclair that was £7 was written "hazelnut" was with strawberry and 2 hazelnuts on the top, very dry and probably leftovers from the day before... The waitress that was serving us was VERY unfriendly, disrespectful with the own colleagues and was taking more than 20 minutes to order... When I explain about the eclair she was directly pointing my table and looking at me very aggressively with other colleagues, her name is Francesca, if you go avoid being served by her. Honestly? I would not go back and neither recommend it. What a bad experience is a good-looking place!

Visited Haymarket today - what a thoroughly shocking and disgusting experience it was!!! Vile staff - especially the foul mouthed, trollop of a girl that was 'working' 11- 11.45. Her laugh must have shattered the broken glass over the cakes in the window that had been hatched back together with a clear plastic wrap? The complaints about her obnoxious behaviour certainly reached a 'concerto' - 9 to my counting in 40 minutes??? Shame she shouted at the manager in front of customers when he tried to address her politely. Dirty toilets. Awful experience - the worst ever in fact :-((
