User

What a night! I went with a few mates to check out the venue and had an incredible evening. The new playroom is a great vibe - lots of fun doing karaoke. The sound is really good all around the venue, especially in the gig room. The lucky chip burgers were absolutely delicious and the service came with a smile ! I would 100% recommend to my friends.

User

The best bar ever!!! The nicest people, i had the best night in London. Love the bartenders especially Ingrid!!!!Francesco is the friendliest barback and Joao the manager is lots of fun :-)

Alex the supervisor had the funniest accent :-P

User

Popped in for a burger last Friday, banging burger and friendly staff. Gets overly dim so I can hide my ugly mug too. Love it x

User

Nice selection of beer, AMAZING burgers, recommend the OG.

User

I had so much fun at the 'Who Run The World' club night with a group of girls, the music was excellent and we danced all night long. The venue is wicked, it has a really intimate feel and the staff are super friendly. Would highly recommend this place for a night out in Camden.

User

I had a gathering here on Saturday for my 28th birthday... I had a number of people travel from all over the uk to come to this night... sadly one of our friends got kicked out after an altercation with one of the bar ladies, who had been irrational and kicked him out for hardly no reason atal!! The door men saw what had happened and brought my friend outside (as asked by the bar lady) and calmly spoke to my friend about what had happened, they were completely reasonable and understood his point of view... I can not thank them enough for taking the time out to listen to what had actually happened and by doing so completely defused the situation... I have been to many establishments through my years and can honestly say the professionalism of the door men working that night was second to none, they were not heavy handed and were an absolute credit to this bar... there was 16 of us here and over something so petty could have lost all of our custom, however because of the way they handled the situation and encouraged us to stay and enjoy our evening would make me want to return again knowing that they care about the wellbeing of their customers!!! I wish I had caught the two door men who had handled this situation as I would have loved to personally spoken to their management to praise them... I don’t often write reviews but I had to thank these two individuals as they are a true representation of what door men should be!!! Well done guys

User

Had a fantastic time here, great live music excellent choice of top quality beers and to top if off, by far the best burger in London I have ever tasted. This surprised me the most, but I later found out timeout had previously rated it the best in London too. (I recommend the El Chapo burger)

Go there..... chill out to the awesome music and chilled out vibe, with a craft beer and El Chapo....what more can you ask for!!!

User

Great place as a pub and even better place as music venue. The Spotlight series are well worth going to!

User

Fantastic bartenders, great personality, high energy, particularly Martyna!

Best burgers ever but random doorman:

random in Camden

Have a meal and a few pints then Go elsewhere for an hour ...... come back and

Doorman: you can’t come in you’ve been drinking .

Me and Gary : yeah we were drinking in here earlier and eating burgers .

Doorman : ok I’ll let you in but normally I don’t let people in if they’ve been drinking.

Us: you don’t let people in a bar if they’ve been drinking??)

User

First time I have been here, it's a good venue, drink prices reasonable and friendly staff only downside is that the lighting is really poor and i struggled to get decent photos.

User

Went to go out for the freerange night. The Bouncer on the door was a complete tool. I had booked early bird tickets. He refuse us entry saying we were too drunk. We had drove all the way from devon for this. I have never been refused entry to a night before. We couldn't even re sell our tickets to a group of girls who wanted to get in. Total joke. Talk about a guy on a powertrip.

User

We visited for NYE but despite paying £25 for tickets, spent an hour and a half in the queue and missed the countdown. We complained to the venue who assured us they would refund the ticket price, but a day later were subsequently told by management that they had changed their minds and would not be refunding us (???). Disgraceful customer service. We won't be returning.

User

Was booked to DJ at this venue on 14 July as part of a gig. The company that runs the venue cancelled the gig, didn't inform me, then ignored all my emails and failed to compensate me for the travel and accommodation I'd booked. I'll be telling all my friends who DJ and play music not to work with them.

User

The staff were extremely rude to my friends and band mates and showed a complete disrespect of our personal gear. Astonishingly bad organisation as our headline set was cut in half without warning. Treatment of fans was disgusting as they were evicted with no explanation. All proceedings beforehand leading up to the electricity being cut were perfectly acceptable to that of a typical rock show. Never have I seen such deplorable management, staff and organisation. PLEASE BOYCOTT and spread the word.

User

Stopping the band to finish a gig by cutting the electricity, if you call that professional organized venue...I would NOT recommend this venue!

User

No one on the door until it was too late and the gig had started leading to the venue being rammed. Dangerous

User

Music can be great, but the lighting is awful. Significantly worse than when you were The Barfly. Does it have to be SO DARK? Also lighting colour so poor! I think you have the potential for decent (reasonably bright) lighting, but choose not to use it. I have been to 3 shows since the venue change. Always very dim lighting.

I suspect this is a deliberate policy of this venue.
