Thank you for going fur free ! will come with my family to visit. thank you for stopping the sale of fur. Fur is cruel, outdated and only belongs on animals. Thank you for this. Much love and appreciation! Jane <3

User

So happy that Camden Market has decided to ban the sale of products made with animal fur <3

Shopping here is a unique experience with the most unusual and creative designs available be it clothes, accessories, homeward etc. This place oozes talent at its best.

User

It's an awesome place to go shopping and look around at all the interesting stalls and shops, always a good place to find bargains...... and then sometimes some people (the husband and his friends) can overdo things by indulging in too much drinking

User

Increased in size and attitude over the past 20 years. Mix of BoHo and Tourist Trap. Still a great vibe but lost its independence stall holders and mystic feel. I believe Market is owned by one businessman now. Worth a wonder through the back past the food hall and onto the vintage clothes shops.

User

Just went back to Camden after about two years. Great place, but it was packed. I liked the Dj playing music but it was rather loud. I think its a good idea rather than having all the shops playing their own music, which I thought was the idea. My wife bought some signs and Jewellery and i bought some vinyl. Fine place. Will be coming again :)

User

From my last visit , many moons ago I would spend it searching the small stalls for very talented hand made, unique gifts and curiosity’s. To my disappointment this has not expanded but the foods and usual shops have. You need more Artists a little less restaurants everywhere! Love London.Very crowded hard to see!!

User

I think they r modernising the market 2 much went there 2day a lot of the old market is missing them silly beach hut street food insted of the old food market they hav taken out the amazing bronze black smith horses part of the markets history the chandliers gone its loosing its charm so sad

User

disgusted to see real fur being sold at this market. it's barbaric, outdated and there really is no need for it these days. please ban the sale of real fur!

User

Well it was my,girlfriend and daughter first time at Camden Market and I am sorry we won’t be back!!!! Walking around the market and seeing some Profiting from cruelty to animals by selling real fur. Shame on you Camden Market.

User

Very poor security. I got robbed by 2 young guys at knife point inside camden market. Camden market security said that they dont have security camera from where i got robbed, Knowing that it was only few metres from the main entrance of the market

User

Very disappointing that you're still allowing the sale of real fur. Spittefields market has just banned the sale of fur and I suggest you do the same. It is 2017!!! There's no excuse, the barbaric practice of wearing the skin of tortured animals belongs in the past!

User

Very disappointed to hear the news that Camden Market have bowed down to the pressure and banned the sale of real fur, including vintage furs. Turning their backs on the small family run businesses that rely on their income from Camden Market. I am a regular visiter to Camden Market and now I will NOT visit again!

User

Revisited the market the other day and was repulsed to the point of being physically sick at the amount of dead animal skins being exhibited on mannequins and paraded by shop keepers as if we're cave dwellers at the mercy of stone tools and rudimentary fire control. Spitalfields Market have publicly announced recently a BAN on the sale of fur from 2018. As you well know, the production of fur has been banned in the UK since 2000 under the Fur Farming (Prohibition) Act 2000 because of the level of cruelty involved but it doesn't seem like it matters as vast amounts of fur products are being brought into the country from China for sale in places like Camden Market. Please come into the 21st century and do what is right not just for the beautiful wild animals who need their fur and skin to live but, also for the environment that's being polluted by the hazardous cocktail of chemicals used to stop the furs from rotting.

User

Just love Camden Market...just reached a point where I can no longer go. As with Spitalfields Market...I continually saw the open sale of real fur and it disgusted and offended me so much that I joined campaigners to protest against this barbaric industry. Each time I walk passed a real fur stall in Camden Market, I feel the same way. I am of course not alone in my views and having seen the likes of Gucci turning their backs on the cruel real fur trade, I would hope that one of Londons hottest fashion markets would be ahead of the times not trailing behind.

Please Camden don't let London and the U.K. down!!!....please please consider the removal of any real fur rapt your Market.

I hope very much that this reaches the ears of some very compassionate and forward thinking decision makers for Camden Market.

User

I was shocked and horrified to see stall holders selling fur .. this is disgusting . Just who in their right mind would want to wear a tortured and brutally murdered animal???

Only a uncaring and heartless monster in my view.

Have you ever stopped to think that you could even be wearing your own pet ?

Yes cats and dogs go missing in the uk ...

User

I am shocked, disappointed and disgusted that Camden Market permits the selling of fur under its iconic and historic name. Camden (like Borough and Spitafields) carries the reputation of being modern, cutting edge, alternative and evolved. Fur, on the other hand, is medieval, creatively lazy, backward, and obviously incredibly cruel.

Whilst I am a huge advocate of the vintage clothing market to promote sustainability, vintage fur is only promoting the continuation of the current trade in new fur. It is barbaric, bloodcurdling, evil, dystopian and a totally unnecessary industry.

Animals are imprisoned in cages were they go mad and self harm or cannibalise other animals. They are anally or vaginally electrocuted, bludgeoned and often skinned while still semi conscious. It is the most narcissistic, vile, wicked and redundant industry that belongs in one place, and one place only ... the history books.

Camden Market is better than this. You can do better. Indeed, you must do better. We, as a species must collectively do better. Please follow in the courageous and progressive footsteps of Spitafields Market who just recently have agreed to ban the sale of fur on their premises from January 2018. Indeed, just within this last month Gucci and Michael Kors have agreed to go fur free. They, like Spitafields, have all chosen to be on the right side of history. Will you? I really hope so ....

Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas 🎄❤️

User

I am appalled that you allow real fur to be sold , I suggest you watch videos showing the terrible conditions animals are kept in before they anally electrocuted and if the are lucky this kills them , sadly lots of animals are still alive when their is ripped from them , as after watching one of these videos I am sure you will ban the sale of real fur .

User

Camden Market now charges 40p for using the toilet which is buried down in the basement (not like it's taking up valuable store space). Talk about taking the piss!!!

On top of chasing/burning out the old-school food stallholders this shows the priority of the mangement these days. Pretty soon all the soul will have been bled out of the place and all you'll find are tourists taking photos of each other and wondering why it used to be thought of as cool. Then they'll get robbed/stabbed by the underpoliced local gang members who are slinging drugs on the main street in broad daylight.
